So first person now has custom animations?  Does that mean the player sees a different animation from what others will see when watching said player?  How are the animations different?

I smell a WIP from the art team that snuck in again. that or some goofy grass spreading bug appearing

You can't play lawn bowls anymore as the grass is too thick and clumpy. In addition, my putting green is completely ruined.

It already was like that but got borked in one of the last updates. Which caused the "bang your weapon in your camera" problem when running, borked swimming animations, etc.

Appears that they've made them more "realistic" by adding very annoying crabgrass.

-1 to crabgrass. +1 to weedkiller code being re-implemented.

Another thing it could be is that there was for a small time a third person option ingame which was quite fun.
