First of all, Wurm Online plays AMAZINGLY on the steam deck. Most times it feels more natural than mouse and keyboard due to the odd contextual way wurm works. Off topic setup guide in spoiler: WARNING: The steam deck hardware controls are entirely set up via macros and while macros as bindings are legal in wurm we all know there is a fine line. On the deck using the triggers are pressure sensitive and these binds if not limited will send repeated clicking, so you have to limit the triggers to full press only. The trackpad custom contextual menus will also repeatedly click/press with no way I could find to limit them so I would avoid using those. Just be careful when setting your controls and be familiar with the rules, I found the process stressful and alarming. I hope in the future Wurm embraces the shift in hardware and releases an official configuration to help avoid trouble with new steam blood looking for the very few mmos that play nicely on the deck. (or at least be lenient with warning when it is obvious people are not abusing mechanics) Because to be honest, we really could use any influx of new blood we can get and the deck is a great excuse if it was smoothed out just a bit and compatibility was advertised.

Hey there! I have been watching forums lately filled with a lot of threads with similar mood and message; what is wrong with the game or what could be improved. So I decided to make a counter-thread for such movement! This is the thread, where you can memorize and share one particular, lovely memory you remember when you played Wurm and something good or absolutely funny occured, or you can point out some feature of the game you waited for so long and you felt super-satisfied when it came out and loved to use it. Or you can give just positive feedback for the community, devs or some individual, who has been doing well or you feel has succeeded in some matter, like helping others, being a trustful friend in all turns in Wurmian life... sky's the limit! Only demand is that this thread is filled with the positive posts. Because when you feel down and need cheering up, you can read this thread and identify with the feelings others have shared. Or you can go to the thread "that thread about cats". I have plenty of good memories and a lot of to thank to many people, but I think yesterday happened something that made me feel so happy. That thing was, when I announced our alliance's advertisement post and I got not only so much support from my alliance friends as a bunch of supportive posts to the thread itself, but also personal feedback about how amazing job I had done with it. I felt like, man, this is why I play this game and truly enjoy it after 4 years of playing it; because of the best community. Okies, it's time for you to share a positive moment!

What's New: Added background image and tailored the history buttons to be more appealing. Description: I've been playing this game off and on for about a year to play with a friend of mine, and he was commenting to me how annoying it was to have to alt-tab to a browser to check the wiki for info and risk being exposed and vulnerable while the game was not the active window, and then the lag and reload when alt-tabbing back. He wanted an app to browse the wiki, so I took up the challenge. It took me a while to figure it out, but here it is. This app makes your wiki experience easier by taking it off the computer so you won't have to alt-tab every time you want to read a wiki page. All you have to do is look it up in the app and carry out the necessary action in the game without ever having to reallocate your computer's resources. I hope this app is found useful. Please download it and try it out. The only permission required is Full Internet Access in order to access the wurmwiki website. Screenshots!: The two logo images in this app are directly from the wurmwiki webpage, and thus are not mine. The history buttons and background I made by modifying screenshots I took ingame. I have resolved the major issues with this app that caused the original thread to be locked and the link removed, but it still is not on the Play Store because that costs money. This means you still have to enable unknown sources. To enable "Unknown Sources", goto... Settings -> Applications -> Unknown Sources or Settings -> Security -> Unknown Sources To ease the concerns of the user Archaegeo from the original thread (and others who share a similar apprehension), there are no viruses, the app has no permissions to modify any files, and it is written to only access the wurmwiki page. Bugs: The only one that I know of is when you tap a link on a wiki page to load another wiki page, it momentarily shows a "page not found" page. This has something to do with the Asynctask process where the page is downloaded and processed in the background while the web browsing activity happens in the foreground. The page loads about a second or two later. I use Wurm as a fitness programme. I cycle in the air while my avatar is walking, do knee bends while my avatar is digging, raise an arm while she is chopping wood, do push-ups while she is mining and so forth. It is fun and it helps me get back in shape. Of course it is a bit akward having to use the mouse and keybord to move my avatar while I work out. So here is my suggestion: Wouldn´t it be great if we could have some strap gear to trace hand and feet movements and an option to key bind certain movements to certain avatar actions? Maybe also a new way to move the camera. Then we could physically move around in Wurm, which would make the experience even more realistic. I think it would be truely awsome!

For those of us that miss our old stomping grounds, without further ado I present you with the map files for the Old Elevation, the old central pvp map for Wurm Online's Epic Cluster. Some Notes : The mine systems are not included I regenerated those fresh. Any mine door, I converted to rock. Any diagonal roads, I replaced with dirt, there data values were changed at some point in the past so couldn't salvage those. That seems to be a nice tutorial. 5. Download a java library from here and copy to the directory where WurmLauncher.exe file lies. How to use: In the game console type "discord on". Any messages you get in configured chats will be transferred to discord and vice versa. If someone will type "!who" in the discord chat room - the bot will answer with the list of online players in corresponding chat tab. The timeout is 10 seconds. "discord off" in game console will turn mod off. "discord info" will print out every transfers you configured

Fortunately, not too annoyed yet for the current Wurm situation, since I have slept the most time over. How about you folks, what has happened when you are forced to break your Wurm routines?

Hello everyone! We are aware that not everyone was happy about our recent design change. We were working on improving our kingdom design, but this time we don't want to unexpectedly upload it, we wanted to ask your opinion about it first. We made some major changes to the wagon and tent design but the banners and flag were also changed a little bit. Here's what we came up with: Current design for comparison: Please vote on the poll above if you would like us to change the design, or just leave it as it is. I also wanted to use this opportunity to inform you that there are some wagons and banners on the market which were stolen from us. And no, not stolen in a raid or a pvp battle - that would be fair game. They were made by a person from the enemy kingdom, abusing an alt account. I've met a lot of people that were happy they can support Wurm University in our battles on Chaos, so I think if you want to buy a wagon, you should at least know where your money is going. Because of that, I just want to inform everyone that all the wagons made by a character "Btgringo" or any character other than Aesir are not made by us. Also we don't sell anything on the freedom Trade chat. OMG guy’s I finally found a hosting service that works perfectly. https://www.hostwinds.com/windows.php The people there are really nice and the server setup was done in less than an hour. I got Windows VPS with 2 gigs of Ram but, they have Linux for you more savvy people. 1 gig of ram will work fine for hosting 1 server but, if you want to link servers you need at least 2. In addition you can do whatever else you want with the server ie web hosting ect. I tried a few others and they were all limited in what I could do. The firewall setup was a bit confusing at first but, if you go with this service message me and I can tell you what ports to open and how.
