  1. I know, a plate glove is probably more damaging in real life, but I want an equipable weapon slot item, that can be enchanted with LT, etc and allow us to turn UA combat into something exciting. Also would like to see a small buckler shield that can be worn in conjunction with the knuckles. Helps add a touch of survivability and allows for a fast mini bash - Call it "shield swipe" or "buckler backhand". Helps you improve shield skill for better defense with it. Different buckler types (metal, hide, wood) would impact both the speed of your Buckler attacks and Knuckles attacks. Maybe also the impact to your opponent when hit. (pretty much what regular shields/types already do).
  2. Unarmed combat is almost never utilized in Wurm except for bragging rights. Why not change that? There are a variety of unarmed weapons that could be added to the game. They would be the fastest attacking weapons and have a slight chance to knockdown or daze. They would also have a lot of stun, cancelling, and disarm related special abilities, making them excel at one on one combat. You would have to be close to your target for maximum hit chance, also lowering the effectiveness of your opponents weapon. Following the formula of other Wurm weapons, there would be a light, medium, and heavy fist weapon. The most likely choices for these weapons are as follows: Knuckles: Metal knuckles worn around the hand which adds extra power to your punches. Almost no weight and low damage, these knuckles would have a minimum swing time of 1 second and deal some mauling damage. Excellent for light targets and interrupting actions. Cannot parry. Not too practical outside of tavern brawls. Spiked Gauntlet: A spiked battle gauntlet able to deliver massive swings at the cost of some speed. Higher damage and daze/knockdown chance. Effective against armor. Worn in place of a glove, and makes a good backup weapon and has decent armor too. Can literally grab cutting weapons mid-swing, therefore minimizing damage (this chance increases when dual-wielded). Deals mauling and piercing damage. Minimum swing time of 2 seconds. Axehand: A metal tube that encases the forearm, with the hand end capped off and a semicircular blade attached to it. In other words, your hand is now an axe (but not literally). Heaviest and highest damage fist weapon. In exchange for devastating cutting power and speed, this weapon lacks the daze and knockdown capabilities of the other fist weapons. Barely parries. Being a rather short and hard to maneuver weapon, it has a low chance to hit for those not extensively trained with it. 3s minimum attack speed, with damage almost comparable to that of a Large Axe. Can not be dual wielded, but anything else can be used in the opposite hand. EDIT: Edited the post somewhat to make them sound more powerful.
