  1. I have the explorer title from path of knowledge, and while I want to continue on the path of knowledge, I feel bummed I will no longer be able to select the explorer title. I'd love to be able to select previous meditation path titles I have earned. Let me know if you have any questions or thoughts on the suggestion!
  2. The ability to select one of the sorcery titles. It would be nice to choose one of the titles rather than just the default one from whatever combination my account currently has. The titles serve no other purpose other than vanity at least as far as I can see.

I had the first Journal entry and needed to ride a cow and on Jackal i happen to see one so i hopped on, got the 1 hour sleep and Title, the latter of which also appear on Jackal, but not on Wurm. Is this intended? Should we make sure we get our Journals complete on Wurm or forever lose the titles?
  4. I suggest the kingdom title equivalent of Court Smith actually help improvement rates so that kingdom smith toon can imp gear to pvp standards at faster rate. I am not sure what % increase in imping would be appropriate, but remember most PMKs have a single shared smithing account that handles most of the kingdom smithing gear demand. Would be nice to see the title help improvement rates a substantial amount. DA

Today we bring you a few reveals including a new rendering system, the launch of the Valrei Entertainment Network, and a little bit more, so lets get into it! But first.. Patch Notes Leave A Light On We've shared our desire to improve the overall visual feel of Wurm over the years, along with major improvements in performance and we'll be taking some more gigantic leaps with that soon! We're working on introducing a new client renderer that has significantly improved lighting performance, reducing flickering and massively boosting FPS on most systems. This also removes the dynamic lights limiter system as all lights are rendered together, creating a much more ambient world. You'll notice some of these shots are from the live game, and one of Glasshollow, a place well known for taxing the most powerful of systems, we use it as a performance testing ground in a few occasions and this one wound up with significant improvements over the current stable and preview clients! Due to this not being supported by older systems (pre 2010 or so) and Macs, We'll be including this as a client option for players to disable and play on the existing renderer. Valrei Entertainers! A few newses (totally a word) in the making, we're finally rolling out the start of our Valrei Entertainment Network! We will be starting with a select few and building it up, ensuring we can shape this how we want and provide the support we want. Initial support will be cross promotion via social media, a special ingame title (all of my suggestions were apparently too lame) , and may include further things down the line such as sneak peek news for players to check out, and giveaways for you! The initial members that we can announce are below, but we'll be reaching out and inducting a few more over the next week when we can get in touch with them first! WU Beta With the dust settling from the anniversary update we're going to begin working towards a WU beta, aiming for internal stability testing and then a beta launch, from there we'll be launching it live, so expect it soon! Decoration time As announced in last news, we're doing a decorating competition! Simply decorate a room by putting things on surfaces (not unidentified fragments!) and submit your designs to this thread, the grand winner will receive 2 supreme archaeology statues of their choosing, second place receiving 2 rare, and third place receiving 1 rare. We'll also be including a rare marble table to the fourth and fifth place, so get designing! Title Suggestions There's been a huge amount of suggested titles and plenty of discussion about them, which is awesome! We'll be sifting through the suggestions and categorizing them all, choosing which ones we want to use and will be implementing them! The great derby of 1075 Last weekend saw the great derby of 1075, with players joining IRC to take part in the quizzes for a chance to win an entry ticket to a race on Golden Valley! With our ten entrants: Briwerion, moirai, jaz, joelle, ostentatio, oblivionnreaver, klaa, williamwierd, rocklobstar, and Thorakkanath the race was setup, and was a really fun event, with the winners being Moirai, Briwerion, and then Jaz.   6. Why not create some cool new combination titles? For example, something like if you have a title in knives and bladesmithing, then you get the Boss of Blades title. Or maybe a title in fighting and aggressive fighting combine to make a available a new title: Sergeant Slaughter. You get the point
  7. I'd like to have tick-boxes in the "Select your title" window which (if unchecked) filter out titles in the drop-down list.   8. Had an idea, earlier I was passing a guard and they looked down. Gave me the idea that I have seen in other games where rank/royalty titles would cause npc to curtsey or bow. That would be a great way to reward the vet players for those titles you get over the "years"...hint, to have the guards and/or even merchants do some acknowledgement action depending on the rank of that title showing. "The guard bows and acknowledges (You/ Your Name), Duke of Lomaner" ...just a thought.
  9. Everyone likes titles they can display for others to see. Here's some new ones for killing many monsters 1000 spiders - Arachnophobe 1000 Wildcats - Catastrophe 100 dragons - Dragonmaster 10000 bears - Bearly Bearlievable 100 Sharks - Got a bigger boat I'm sure you can think of funnier ones.
  10. If you eat 'human' meat, or eat from a recipe where human meat is required a player receives the title Cannibal. For no other reason than silly fun.
  11. For some reason in Wurm Unlimited, when i raise a skill to 100, I don't receive any message saying that I've earned a title for leveling to 100 in a skill, even typed /titles, don't see any of the legendary titles in the scroll down box.
  12. I was thinking about the titles in the game and thought of these. Jack of all Trades - all skills at 50 or above Queen or King of all Trades - all skills 75 or above. Gender based Ace of all Trades - all skills 99 or higher These would exclude body and religion and such. Anyone else have title ideas? Feel free to comment them
  13. According to the wiki both 90 faith and 70 path of knowledge gives the same title; "Enlightened". I could see that it fits for each of them, but tbh titles should be unique. I think it would be most fit to change the path of knowledge title to something else, and that ofcourse had to be something related to the other knowledge titles. I will post any examples or suggestions as i come up with them. If anyone else would come up with any titles i could edit them in to this post.
  14. I am currently court magus and royal priest in a PMK on Elevation. The royal priest title ( halves the cost of favor for spells) has been working at all times even prior to having over 2% land. Now that we have over over 2% land I was assigned the court magus title and it doesn't do anything. My favor tick size and frequency are exactly the same as before. - Yes, I use show all ticks in skills. - I have relogged since being assigned the titles (its been two days). - There has been a server restart since we acquired 2% land. - Yes we have exactly 2.04% land so theres no room for Wurm rounding issues (19.9996 =20) - I've tried setting my Kingdom Title as my personal title with no resolve. Now, the court magus title isn't really all that effective anyway, but it raises some concerns as to if our other 2% titles are working or not. No way of personally testing those either from what I know. For what its worth I am also royal avenger. Would having multiple of these titles nullify the effects of another? Specifically the avenger and magus as they require the 2% land for them to be active. If theres anything I'm doing wrong here feel free to let me know.
  15. Really haven't fleshed this out as it was inspired recently by another thread. Basically something similar to King and player titles, except they work for deeds. For example a deed, where the citizens and/or guards have killed X number of enemies in the deed proximity, might gain a title "Fortress". "Castle", "Village", and etc are other possibilities. Unsure offhand what some kingdoms call their frontline pvp deeds. War Deeds or Wardeeds may be something only certain groups do. Doesn't have to be just pvp-related titles. Crafting, enchanting, and so on can also reflect what some deeds specialize in. EDIT: Also let it be an option for the deed-holder to decide if they want it visible.
  16. Pretty out there idea because it would require a whole lot of model fabrication. But basically each title (or select titles) in the game would come with a corresponding (and unique) pauldron. So when you select to wear that title you would automatically 'wear' a set of pauldrons in your shoulder slots that would be recognizable to everyone as being related to that title. The pauldrons could all be unique and designed after the title in question. The basis of this idea is that I want those empty shoulder slots to be used. This first began as unique pauldrons for each of the kingdom titles, but figured thats an extremely limited range of use and skill titles would be a more popular option.
  17. As the game currently stands, the only title that actually matters is Armor Smith. With the Armor Smith title, you have a slight bonus to imping armor items, to help you in your craft as long as you have the title on. With that the only exception, no other skill title exists for any purpose other than bragging rights. I could never understand why the developers would choose to give a bonus to imping armor, and nothing else. I'm sure most players would really enjoy having some sort of advantage to their craft of choice upon reaching a title, but right now, the only people who get any bonus from their titles are armor smiths. I'm proposing that some sort of slight bonus is implemented for each title, so players can have a greater sense of accomplishment and benefit from their titles, because right now you pretty much just pick the title that sounds the coolest at the end of your name, regardless of what kind of craft or trade you are most known for. For example: People have suggested making arrows easier to imp, or come out at a greater creation QL. Why not have this be a benefit of wearing a fletching title? Weapon smiths and blacksmiths could have imp benefits similar to the armor smith title; I don't see why they shouldnt, because weapon smithing is actually quite a bit more difficult than armor smithing. Woodcutting titles could increase the damage you do to the tree with each swing, allowing you to cut down those difficult trees more quickly. Hot food cooking titles could increase the rate at which you cook at your quality cap. In general, I believe that most players would like to see some sort of benefits from their titles similar to what armor smiths already enjoy. What say you?
  18. When unlocking a title maybe give us the option to see how many others have unlocked that title also? Sort of like the "path leaders" option in meditation.

  20. As far as I know there are no titles for the Warhammer skill. Yet is has it's own skill tree, and affinity. I know the other artifacts don't have titles, but afaik this is the only one with a skill tree all its own. So why not titles. Gotta be easy enough to do. Something like 50 Sheriff,70 Prosecutor, 90 Judge. Or John Henry, or Thor. or whatever. Idk, just seems fun. With all the graphic attention the artifacts are getting I think it's a nice way to polish it up a bit

  23. With all the attention being given to new titles that you can switch on or off, I think it'd be nice to be able to toggle the display of your meditation path's title. I doubt that I'm the only person who would rather just be their character name on mouseover, with nothing fancy after it. The ingame text even refers to a path as a "cult" and speaks of secrets known only to its followers, and yet a member's rank in this shadowy organization is kept plainly displayed for anyone to see with a glance. It can be argued that path titles should always be on because some of them give potent advantages in PVP. While it's true that many meditation abilities can give a character an edge, I disagree with the notion of forcing people to wear that sort of thing on their sleeve. I see it as no less ridiculous than claiming elite fighters should have their names trailed with a string resembling "[Knight] [swordsmaster] [Protector] [Marksman]" at all times. If all these other (and arguably much more pertinent) titles gained from skill are only voluntarily shown, I don't see why meditation path titles should be constantly displayed for the benefit of the enemy. It would also be neat, though not strictly necessary, if a person could also choose from any of the path titles they've previously earned, in addition to "none"; perhaps with a second dropdown menu on the /titles window.
  24. Hi all, I'm here to suggest titles for free acc players (at 20 skill). I was think in something like fun for players that can't buy premium and up over 20 on skills. I really would love to see anyone passing front me with "Armadillo" title (20 dig skill). XD Well, ppl can suggest the name of this titles for free players (20 skill) in this topic... If would accept, I realy like to "armadillo" for dig skill XD... Pls, let your opinion and your suggest name for the skill...
  25. Curious if it would be much work to enable the Epic players who already possess the specialty titles of Ageless, Keeper of Truth, Keeper of Faith, and Destroyer of Faith on their Freedom/Chaos halves. Merely to be able to display such titles on both clusters.
