  1. Added a newbie to the deed and right after accepting the invitation to join he got the option 'Do you want to teleport to (deedname) now?' I think this is an awesome addition. Thanks.
  2. Hi Wurmians! I have just started playing on a Wurm Unlimited Server and I was just hoping to ask some questions about the teleporting in local mechanic which is employed on the Wurm Online Version of the game. As I am assuming this will be the same mechanics across both games. I am under the impression that if a enemy is in local they cannot teleport no matter what. Can someone confirm this is true? (it would be stupid if it wasn't IMO) Secondly if someone goes into a cave in local and stealth's meaning we cannot see them, can they then teleport? I am assuming as they would still be able to see us in local they couldn't teleport? Apologies if this is in the wrong sub forum, any mods can move to a more suitable place. thanks.
  3. This is something for FREEDOM ONLY (in case you missed the tags). It is NOT, in any way, aimed at servers where PvP takes place. As a note it IS possible for pvp and non-pvp servers to have different spell lists for the same priests (see disintegrate). Before you read any further this is a teleportation suggestion, yes it is only for priests. Why? We're the magical folk and meditation and karma both already allow a form of teleportation (thus mooting the "no teleportation in wurm" argument). It's aimed at high level and high channeling priests, priests who are more likely to be mains rather than pets. In all cases spell failure results in the loss of the full favor cost (90). So without further ado : Path of the forest (fo) Faith : 90 Favor : 90 Difficulty : 75 (Has the hardest difficulty because its condition is the easiest to meet) Effect : If cast successfully a text box comes up, the player is prompted to type in the name of a player or deed. If a player is selected the player receives the message "You feel <caster> trying to reach out to you, do you want to let them know where you are?", if the player selects yes then, if there is an overaged tree within a domain of fo within 5 tiles that is NOT on a deed, the priest is teleported to that tree, if they select no the spell fails. If a deed is selected, and the priest is a member of that village, or in an alliance with that village (Permission to allow teleports must be set to true in role), the priest teleports to an overaged tree in a fo domain on that deed. If no tree in a fo domain domain is found the spell fails. Path of the waves (vyn) Faith : 90 Favor : 90 Difficulty : 65 (Has the lowest difficulty because it has the most restrictive condition) If cast successfully a text box comes up, the player is prompted to type in the name of a player or deed. If a player is selected the player recieves the message "You feel <caster> trying to reach out to you, do you want to let them know where you are?", if the player selects yes then, if there is a water source in the domain of vynora within 10 tiles that is NOT on a deed, the priest is teleported to that water source, if they select no the spell fails. If a deed is selected, and the priest is a member of that village, or in an alliance with that village (Permission to allow teleports must be set to true in role), the priest teleports to a water source in a vynora domain on that deed. If no water source in a vyn domain is found the spell fails. Path of the earth (mag) Faith : 90 Favor : 90 Difficulty : 70 (Has a middling difficulty because it is harder to make rock tiles than it is to plant trees, but easier to make them than to create water sources) If cast successfully a text box comes up, the player is prompted to type in the name of a player or deed. If a player is selected the player receives the message "You feel <caster> trying to reach out to you, do you want to let them know where you are?", if the player selects yes then, if there is a rock tile (both above and underground) within a of magranon domain within 10 tiles that is NOT on a deed, the priest is teleported to that rock tile, if they select no the spell fails. If a deed is selected, and the priest is a member of that village, or in an alliance with that village (Permission to allow teleports must be set to true in role), the priest teleports to the nearest rock tile to that altar. If no rock tile is found the spell fails Note for other gods : Just change the domain to be that of the requisite god.
  4. I am posting this now, because I have for the past couple of days always had the following issue when embarking my large cart as driver: I right click and embark. This happens: [10:36:42] You ride on the large cart as the driver. [10:36:42] You leave the large cart. [10:36:44] You are teleporting and cannot perform actions right now. [10:36:45] You are teleporting and cannot perform actions right now. [10:36:45] Teleporting [10:36:47] You are teleporting and cannot perform actions right now. [10:36:47] You are teleporting and cannot perform actions right now. [10:36:53] You are teleporting and cannot perform actions right now. [10:36:54] You are teleporting and cannot perform actions right now. [10:36:54] Teleporting [10:37:03] You are teleporting and cannot use this command. [10:37:09] You are teleporting and cannot perform actions right now. [10:37:26] You are teleporting and cannot perform actions right now. What then happens is that I seem to be teleporting up and down in the same spot instead of actually driving the cart. Using commands such as /stuck will not work in that situation. What it then tells me is: [10:37:03] You are teleporting and cannot use this command. This happens when embarking a large cart in the open field. I am aware that it is bound to happen when your cart is stuck somewhere or there are fences in the way, but lately this seems to happen way more often than usual, and for me it has happened every single time. I can embark the large cart as the driver after having waited for 1-5 minutes while teleporting around, until I stand still for a moment. Using that moment, I can embark the cart in the normal way, but it is very annoying having to wait each time. [10:37:31] You ride on the large cart as the driver.

I made an alt yesterday and sent her to Epic MRH first then had intended on moving on over to Pristine but when i tried to use the portal and selected Pristine nothing happened and the game locked up on me. I closed the game out and logged back on to see if that helped but was not able to try to teleport again as the hour timer was active. I waited till the time was up and tried again this time the portal was only offering me the option to go to pristine and that was fine but it locked up on me again with the same error. [09:51:11] An error was reported from the login server. Please try later or report this using /support if the problem persists. [09:51:11] You can not transfer right now. That is the error message i keep getting and a CM told me to report it here on the /support i filed. The character's name is Anabella and is still stuck on MRH. I tried it again this morning with same results.
  6. /vteleport or the karma teleport... I crossed the border from Indy - had the usual, has the boat kicked me where is the boat. situation. So i used /vteleport, couldnt do it from indy. it teleported me to my deed (or seemed to) but then i got stuck as soon as i tried to move more than 1 tile. /stuck did nothing.. so i relogged. When i logged back in, i was still on the boat. (the commander of the boat did not see me still on the boat until i relogged, to him, i had teleported successfully) I had used my free teleport and had to use the karma one the second time.. i disembarked just in case it was a boat problem and not a transition problem. It then worked. I find myself with 300 karma instead of 1300 but i guess that's ok because it's relatively useless anyway. I was advised to report this bug. If you can re-credit me my freebie teleport (or award me 1k Karma), that would be mighty fine of you.. either way, I think i won't be the last person to try teleporting from a ship fresh across the border and this problem will, occur again. take care
  7. Test server bug

    Test002 - Not sure if this is the correct place for this, please move it not. traveling along on cart with two horses, being pursued by a croc. All of a sudden I stop like i've reached the end of a rope and the cart and horses keep going for two to three cart lengths. I catch up to them and re-mount, steering is all messed up, I get tossed off the cart again. I try this three or four times before trying to approach the cart from a different angle, same issue. By this time the croc has caught up to me so logging is not a viable option. Then an enemy guard from way way back down the road catches up, i mean the last place I saw this guard was a ten minute cart ride ago. Between him and the croc I'm dead because every time i move I am randomly teleporting back to the same spot. I die. When I leave the starting point everything seems fine, so I log and restart the game to make sure. I progress towards the coast to try and find my gear, I have only the slightest idea where it is but I go looking, dieing on the way to the goblin leader, lol. Anyway I find my way out near the coast and I find another of these spots. I walk in any direction I make it a random distance then teleport back to the same spot over and over. If I travel in straight line along the same direction as the tiles, not crossing diagonally I can sometimes make it 15 tiles or more then right back to the same tile. When I do make it a reasonable distance before tele I take falling damage, the further away the more damage. It is almost like the server thinks I'm in a hole or something. Ayway, have to get to work perhaps I can help troubleshoot later, but that's after 7pm Pacific Time, which I think is middle of the night or so for the devs.
  8. Teleporting home using the "Recall Home" feature leaves you at the same altitude as the spot where you were standing before, regardless of the actual ground elevation. I was using the teleport while standing on the 8th floor of a building and found myself floating in the air, high above my token. While this was a nice surprise and gave me the opportunity to take some interesting screenshots, the game suddenly decided to let me fall down to the ground. Needless to say, I didn't survive While I admit this is probably not a problem happening frequently to many people ( ), it should nevertheless be fixed.
  9. We've had this happen twice now at our deed, its a rare occurence and i dont know yet what causes it. First time was a hell horse being lead into a cave entrance, it then disappeared. we contacted a gm who found it inside a house ~15 tiles across the deed. A few weeks later i was leading a bunch of horses around deed and a foal disappeared on me and reappeared roughly in the same spot, at the same house on the other side of te deed. It might be hard to reproduce, since it only seems to happen to one in 50+ animals we lead into the mine. but a GM/Dev is welcome to come and have a look at our deed setup and experiment to see if they can reproduce it.   10. Teleport

    While I was working on moving my deed, again, I had an epiphany. Make teleport (path of insanity) take you to a random tile on any related server. Hence, teleport on a Freedom Isle will take you to a random tile on any of those servers. Epic works the same.
