    -PLS REMEMBER, THE SUGGESTED ABILITYS & CREATURES DOES NOT HAVE TO BE EXACTLY AS SUGGESSED. THEY CAN BE CHANGED OR SOME OF THEM CAN BE PUT IN USE- I was gonna post this as a reply but then i realised i went off-topic so decided to make a new one. 1) I would like to see more neutral creatures; zebra, antelope, sheep, squirrel, rabbit, hedgehog, monkey (not gorilla), badger, mole, turtle, frog, koala, ostrich, peafowl, maybe even penguins in winter... (btw i dont see the reason why kittys are agressive, weasel could be more logical) 2) Maybe even some dangerous but neutral animals as well; elephant, rhino, giraffe... 3) Here come the best part. I want some animals in sea / lakes. its way too safe to travel with boats or ships. only a few animals can swim and those arent threatening at all if ur not walking. Shark (not a bear shark), Dolphin, Eel, Jellyfish, Seal, Whale, octopus, stingray, king crab, swordfish... can even add some piranha in random lakes. 4) If u want to add more fantasy, try; Dinasours, put back the Zombies, or some mystical creatures wich would only appear when fog is very intense... 5) Some extra hostile creatures could be nice. 6) And as a last suggestion, some new abilitys can be added on current creatures. -Web atack for hugespiders (slows ur movement speed or atack speed?) -Knock back for horses, hell horses, unicorns, bulls (gives a high dmg and throws u back a few tiles, maybe even stunns you there) -Poison atack, for scorpions, cavebugs (gives a poison dmg wich can only be cured withhealing covers maybe? ) cant think of anything else atm, feel free to add more. Those would add some serious survivability and make the game more difficult to wonder arround instead of pressing auto move button and go half afk.

  4. The main thing that drew me to this game years ago was survival. We have the need to eat, we have the need to drink water. My suggestion would be to work in this direction. We have functional seasons. We have a winter that lasts for a week and I think we should make it a real winter. We don't have a use for fur other than beds and those funny fluffy carpets. Why not turn them into clothing that you could put on you or on top of your armor to provide heat? I suggest a functional cold system. The colder you get the lower your stamina or the slower it regenerates and you have more difficulties creating stuff (make it work like being drunk where you fail more, you know the feeling of frozen hands). Alcohol could also lower cold, and while standing next to a fireplace you are warm too. When cold reaches zero you enter hypothermia and have ten minutes to raise your body temperature or you'll freeze and die. There are more survival aspects I plan to cover but for now let's stick with this. For all those who will start to -1, we could make this work only in the winter and make fur clothing not so difficult to create. It would add immersion in my opinion as now we can run around naked in the snow and be perfectly fine. Please make this work, I really want to be able to say a meaningful "winter is coming" in kchat.

  8. Longlasting food

    Actually i'm digging a long tunnel near my deed and it's really long. That long that i'm to lazy to go back to deed, but the food on the other hand is not lasting very long, after a few days its rotten. So, what about having a sort of food..like salami with a bread that lasts very long and can be carried around in inventory ? Drawback could be that it takes 3x as much as ingredients as normal food takes, and that it nutrition is not very high, say cut in half compared to meals ?

  10. For one of the upcoming Challenges, how about perhaps a 'survival' based kind of theme? I'd actually be down for a full survival server, but we could see how it went as a 'Challenge' first. Wurm has some absolutely awesome mechanics for this already in place. My idea is as follows: (And remember, it's just a suggestion. Some will like it, some will hate it. Feedback is welcome, but do be civil.) You start on the map with nothing. And I do mean nothing. No starter tools, no backpack, no compass. Zilch. Not even a stick.You must find and forage rock tiles to make stone tools, in order to make other tools.You start at a random starter location. (Stone and rock tiles should be not too far away. Cliffs maybe, or even simply exposed rock.)Perhaps make 6 or 8 such starting locations, so that people are spread randomly throughout the world.No deeds. What? No deeds? Yes. No deeds. Everything has the full decay that you would expect being in the middle of nowhere in the wilderness on some lost isle. You want something to last, either repair it or make it higher ql.No skill bampfing. 70FS my achin' backside. You start with normal noob skills. You want to be better at something? Work for it. This way there will never be 80ql swords in this little scenario, and everything will be a bit more equalized across the board.Additional options include: PVE only. If enough folks aren't down with that, then the next option below.PVP, but no grouping or cooperation allowed of any kind. This is solo man or woman vs wild. No grouping up and ganking people. You want to go toe to toe, you do it at your own risk and do it alone. No hiding behind your team mates that PVP for a living. (And none of this... oh I just HAPPENED to drop a dozen 40ql swords along the road in the direction of my buddies... oops.)There could be various prize categories for different playstyles. Something for everyone, in other words. Since the skills would be limited based upon the limited playtime, some such rewards could be: First 4 x 4 Wooden StructureFirst 4 x 4 Stone StructureFirst gem minedFirst 30ql stone wall (of any kind)First 80ql+ item foraged/botanized. (or even make it specific. First 80ql+ acorn, etc.)These are just some generalized ideas. I'm sure others can come up with other and better things.

    What do you think about having a pve survival server kind of like challenge but more survival oriented? The way wurm pve is now is it easy to feed and care for yourself but what if they changed that making it so it was difficult. Maybe add in sickness and make it so you have to really strive to just get by let alone make shelters. Lets put more survival into wurm with a survival server. Feel free to expand on the concept as it is really raw but i think it might be fun.
  13. First of all, this will be a guide for new and non-premium user, who have a skill capped at 20... This will not a a grinding guide, Precisly this will based on my personal experience as new and basic account user., the may connet some prejuice and will be missunderstading or something like that Dont forget the more important, wurm is a game, enjoy it, you are the one who decide how to play. Start: Limitations Basic accounts have several limitations, but dont be afraid, try that no stop you of have fun. You only cant build large houses or one with more than 1 floor or stone one. You cant ride a horse, or drive a large boat. You may have low chance of craft most things, but not imposible. Gear Gear aka. tools are very important, moreover you will need tools to make other tools. Important tools to have: Steel and flint, to make fire Hatchet, to cutdown trees and make logs Carving knife, several uses Saw, several uses. pickaxe, for mining Compass, this work with the game map You will can make any other tools with thats... Remember when repairing a tool, the quality of that item will drop a little. This is importat, because starting item cannot be improved, that mean cant rise the quality. Higher quality means more easy work with the tools that improve the % of creation Important, less weight means more speed al walking/running, with the limitation of the skills, is better run fast instead of fight, and remember guards are your best weapon and dependable pawns, use it. Try to keep you light on weight, that make you run faster A good idea is spend a few coopers to get some gear, like a 50ql longsword or/and some armor first Finding a good place This is really important, remember a good place is no only have water near, plenty trees and a guard tower near. Wurm community is really both really nice and bad on the same way that most of other online games old user may abuse of new ones in different ways, hiring for repetive work that dont want to do, paying real low for repetitive stuff like bricks on the other way, help a lot to newcommers. Remember the chat channels are good, and have good relation with neightboars if any, is really good Getting money First of all, remember you cant drive cars or ships (except rowingboat), that is a huge limitation moving stuff, specially is you want to sell bulk of items. Make items to sell, well, is tedious and need much time, remember the part of cant drive or sail? well work for this point, max items you can move is 100 (if weight is not over your limits in cart) in both carts and boat. Foraging and botanizing is a good option to get money, but is random. Selling stuff to tokens/traders, is good too, but only capped at 5 copper per hour (is really hard get that amount anyway), dead bodys are the best to sell, remember butcher it, maybe you will get meat (can sell it for extra irons or use it for cook). Damage in items make get less irons, so keep a sight in it.
