  1. Here is a thought for subscriptions: What about increasing the cost of deeds and depending on the deed size, you can have "x" number of uncapped skill villagers, which all function as fully subscribed accounts? Completely unique for an MMO, extremely community centric. Villagers would have to pay silvers to the token for their portion of the deed upkeep. If they fail to pay, the skill cap hammer smacks them down to 20, unless the mayor makes a payment on their behalf. Yes, real potential for drama, but also a lot less deed spam and should result in much stronger communities. It would significantly increase new player retention. What happens when your deed is too small to add more villagers and you are trapped between other deeds, preventing any more expansion? Remote deed expansion. As Mayor, you can plant multiple deeds, but they are all linked. Think of it like a mini alliance. There would be global security/permissions for all the linked deeds, then you could set custom individual permissions for each deed. How much will each of your villagers have to pay to stay uncapped? Mayor sets those rates. You could set tiers. I would do something like offering new players a very inexpensive fee to stay, but as people grow in the village, become more productive and are given access to more resources (higher tiers of membership/permissions), raise their fee. It would also be nice to see payment of the fees in other forms, like bricks, mortar, meat, ore lumps, etc. There are a ton of other things coming to mind here, but not going to make a wall of text. Just want the idea to get out there for you and Code Club to start thinking about. The goal is to find new and interesting ways to inspire WU players to look at WO and if nothing changes in WO, there won't be much reason to consider it. There is a lot that could go wrong with this model, but would it build stronger communities?
  2. I heard that you could buy a sub with silver, how would a newbie like myself go about earning the silver to pay for a sub in Xanadu? and how would one purchase a sub once thye got the silver?
  3. Rolf wants more money for our time online and in return we get sleeping powder good for 5 hours sleep bonus. If you use this and then everyone gets 5 hours sleep bonus because of server problems it's kinda pointless, eh? And then 3% increase to create fantastic or supreme stuff which is pretty close to no increase at all since this stuff is extremely rare anyway. How about this. How about we get VALUE for spending more money. If I spend more money maybe the time I spend in game should be worth more to ME. How about BBS prevents decay for stored items entirely. That way the time I spend getting things I put in there isn't lost at all. That is value for my time and money spent on this game.
