  1. Now that we can build bridges it has finally become realistic to think about a direct connection of the southeast peninsula (called "Serendipity Peninsula" by its inhabitants) with the mainland. Ever since the creation of Deli people in the southeast corner had to take a long and dangerous detour northward across the small steppe, past Lihue and Kaer Mohen and along the northern coast of the sound, then south again towards Pilgrim's Gate - just to reach Greendog or the big market places on the mainland. So, here is what we (the Serendipity Alliance) have in mind: The strait between Other Side Village and a point north of Dunegard (as shown in the image) seems to be the best choice, as it is the narrowest part of the sound in that area. The place can be better seen on this more detailed small-scale map (taken from http://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/54656-detailed-map-of-the-serendipity-bay-area/): This will be an ambitious project: as the total distance to be covered is more than 300 meters we will have to build 3 bridge segments with tiny islands between them. I decided to make this early announcement in order to present our plans to all neighbours affected, namely the owners of settlements around Otherside Village. Please tell me what you think about the project. In case everyone agrees we will need all the help we can get. So: this could be a great community project. Please contact me or any member of the Serendipity Alliance (e.g. Glomby, Substr, LadyCygnet) by means of PM, either here or ingame.
  2. This beautiful piece of Xanadu beachfront property is huge, hardly touched and has everything you need for an incredible new home in Wurm. I was avoiding terraforming it to keep a near pristine piece of Xanadu. I just can't justify keeping it, with all my other projects in process. - Tons of shoreline - Only a small area of clay touching edge of deed - Tar close by - Peat close by - All ores prospected on or within a few tiles of deed - Loaded with complete variety of trees & shrubs (I was making a park) - 2 tiny buildings with storage, forges, oven & beds. - Small & Large carts - Corbita - Mine system started. Just the main 3 wide N/S run and a couple E/W branches. - Iron, Zinc and Tin exposed, with forges & storage in mine - 3 fenced areas for animals - Farmable land within the largest fenced area, roughly 9x9 I believe. - Nearly all of the deed is walkable. Only one steep edge that you might fall from. - Incredible views of the bay and surrounding mountains - 20 min ride to Summerholt and a decent road nearby to get there. - Steppe (bordering the deeds), Tundra and Desert very close for hunting - huge herds of bison, sheep, horses, cows, bulls roaming the deed. - Only a couple neighbors (on the fringe of local) and very nice people. This peninsula has a narrow section where it attached to the mainland, so if you are ambitious, you could cut it away from the mainland, to create an island. I also hold a second deed, protecting the connection to mainland from squatters, which you can also purchase. Zero terraforming done on second deed. Primary Deed: Woods The size of Woods is 60 by 78. The perimeter is 5 and it has 0 guards hired. The settlement has 13 silver, 63 copper and 21 iron in its coffers. The monthly cost is 9 silver and 36 copper. The upkeep will last approximately 40 days, 18 hours and 42 minutes more. Buffer deed: Back Woods The size of Back Woods is 56 by 56. The perimeter is 10 and it has 0 guards hired. The settlement has 9 silver, 92 copper and 67 iron in its coffers. The monthly cost is 6 silver, 98 copper and 20 iron. The upkeep will last approximately 39 days, 19 hours and 25 minutes more. Price: Woods by itself: 30s Woods & Back Woods together: 45s - Previously premium deed holders included at no charge If I receive multiple offers, it is first come, first serve. Higher offers will not matter. Screen shots don't do it justice - just a bunch of beach, plants, trees and animals everywhere. You have to walk the land and see the views to really appreciate it. Access is unrestricted. .... Added a library of pics. Sorry it was mostly night, but this was the time I had available to snap pics. I hope they are helpful. http://s926.photobucket.com/user/sirvink/library/Wurm%20Sales/Woods%20Sale
