I have 2 locked creature cages in a wagon and 2 more in a knarr. These cages come with the default free lock you get when you create them (1 QL). Both sets of cages offer the Permissions > Enable Quality Lock option (usually for BSB/FSBs) when I right click the cage in the knarr or wagon. I do not know whether Enable Quality Lock works on creature cages, and if so, whether it prevents animals being loaded, because I did not risk trying it on the only cages I have - but I think it needs to be looked into. Thanks.

We've been seeing reports on Deli that folks cannot unlock padlocked chests. I've just handled a /support where someone used a padlock that they found, and could not open it again. So be warned of the following : You do not use the key to lock a chest. Keys are created when the lock is created - not when you use the lock. Some tips ... 1 - If you find a padlock and key, even if they are named the same, you cannot be sure that they match, even if the QL matches. If you really want to use found locks, test them out on a empty chest first. 2 - When you make a padlock, the key is made at the same time. Be sure to rename both of them to the same name before you make the next lock. 3 - It's a good habit to make a clay mold and heat it to a pottery mold for each key, and then rename the mold to match the key. Then if you ever lose the key, you can make a replacement. Molds do decay, so check them occasionally and replace any that are needed. Also, note that Iron keys (but not copper) have the same QL as the lock they go to. While this may be helpful in matching multiple keys to their locks, do NOT depend on this. As locks are capped by the iron QL they are made of, it's possible to deliberately make multiple locks and keys with the same QL.
