It seems like a lot of amazing changes are happening to fine tune mechanics and stuff ingame, so how about let's look at this one boys, A while ago it was put in that you receive a 30% debuff to archery and casting while wearing armor. No one en mass really wanted this to happen as far as i'm aware, but it was put in anyway. Now people that argue for this probably pick the 'but it's realistic' or 'just suck it up it's only 30%' or some other proof less argument that holds no ground, but if by the light you recieve knowledge on why this is a good thing please speak up and be heard, because honestly I can't think of any reason this is really a thing after a decade or so of it not being ingame. It's never changed the outcome of anything, it just makes it more annoying in any fight to achieve the same task. Compare it to somehow if it was suddenly thought "knarrs are too overpowered let's add a small mechanic to change it" and it was thought of you had to manually turn sails on a knarr to turn the ship. Fights and stuff would still happen the exact same way as if it was without that, kills would still be there, nothing would change because of the fact it was made 'more realistic esque' On top of this, people work around anything like this by doing min/max tactics, when you want to archer something someone just calls for 'everyone take off your armor' and you shoot whoever or whatever, stuff like this just doesn't work in wurm because there's always a way around it. This was somewhat of a badly formatted rant, but the sum of it is this literally has changed nothing, and just makes it more annoying to deal with to achieve the same outcome in anything related to it.
