  1. Inglenook [1x, PvE]

    Hello all! Inglenook is a new (started 28th Dec 2018) server begun by a small group of friends who have all played together, or individually, on a range of different servers. We have a solid core of 5-8 players currently and a strong EU contingent. The server is located in London, UK. We started Inglenook because we couldn't find what we were looking for elsewhere, and want to share this beautiful (mostly) untouched land with others. We are very light on mods to ensure long-term stability and to enjoy the game mostly as it is intended. About Inglenook 1x PvE New: - Standard Ocrea map - 1x actions, 1x skillgain - all vanilla here - PvE, but with modding to allow Libila following - Starter gear adjusted to be slightly more challenging (10QL armour/shield and 20QL weapon) and encourage player crafting/trading - 25,000 creatures, 25% aggressive - Starting body control 21.00 - horses! - Loading body strength requirement removed - 10 hour crop tick - Deed costs unchanged (4s21c for founding smallest size), upkeep enabled - Bounty mod for killing animals (money to bank account) - examples 1c for cow, 1.5c for horse, 3c for wolf, 5c for spider) - Burn bounties of 1c and 50 karma on burning a corpse (activate steel+flint in inventory, right click > burn corpse) - Announce mod for notifying on players logging in/out - Priest restrictions (imping, digging, etc) removed, normal requirements otherwise - Starter town built by players - nothing here is GM-created or accelerated in any way - Merchant in starter town who will buy things from you; prices may vary - Able to check bank account from character sheet by right clicking body - Auto backups and restarts happen every 5 days (120 hours) to consider crop ticks We have a server live map here: - the starter town is Inglenook. Rules for being a good Inglenookian: - No alts - Be considerate of others, don't take stuff lying around without asking first or unless clearly abandoned - Please don't deed within 50 tiles of someone else, speak to your potential neighbours first if possible! Our vision for the future includes: - Market in starter town where players can place their own merchants to sell wares - Events at weekends with prizes on offer

  3. Brand new server! Eventually will become a cluster as the community grows. PVPVE (PVE will only be INSIDE the capital city.) Everything on this server such as events or content all depends on the players. You play how you want! Everything is community funded and community ran so make your mark today! There is currently no community map, I haven't worked out how to get one set up. Help would be greatly appreciated. Role-play is currently being worked on due to having issues getting the forums established. PVP will be faction based. A PVE area will be established in the center of the map as the capital city. Player made kingdoms are allowed and encouraged. Anyone who claims "No Kingdom" will be considered a bandit. Working on modifying the game file to reflect this.   4. I have decided to professionally host my own server to allow me to play with the mods I want on the map I want. However, I do not have time to manage it. I am looking for a full staff of knowledgeable people to help me. If you are interested please pm me.
  5. After running into this issue on my other server and not having any fixes with roll backs I decided to make a brand new server. I deleted all wurm unlimited dedicated server files off of my computer and reinstalled it through steam. The only things installed onto this new server are a custom map, modlauncher , and these mods: (default modlauncher mods) Announcer, Bag of Holding, Creature Age Mod, Crop Mod, Harvest Helper, Hitching Post, HTTP Server, Inbreed Warning, Script Runner, Server Map, Server Packs, Spellmod; and bdew's Bind Mod (the server would not launch online without it). I am using Steam's Wurm Unlimited Dedicated Server tool. Here's the steps taken to find the bug: Created a character and logged out after about a minute. Waited for logout to show complete in the server log file, then shut down the server through the server panel. Waited for everything to close out properly and fully before starting up modlauncher.bat. Edited the newly created character in the Player's tab to have GM level 5. Started the server with no visible errors and joined with said character. Used default noob hatchet to cut down a mature pine tree (no issues here) Took the ebony wand and used "Destroy" on the log, got an error. Used ebony wand to destroy the noob carving knife, got similar error. No databases were edited between both startups minus adding GM ability to the only character in the server files through the server configuration window. Any insight as to what is causing this or a fix for it would be appreciated. I closed my server after this and here are my log files: Player Log Files if necessary:

Fresh clean new server, newcomers welcome, free deeds with no upkeep cost (just try and keep them a reasonable size and try not to get in other people's way) the server has 4 neighboring servers, one of which has PvP enabled in case you want an added aspect to surviving out there (players can be taken there if they want) This server is non dedicated and is run from my home computer in my spare time, it should be online quite a lot though. server IP: I look forward to seeing you on the server Edit: i'll probably start a discord server at some point if the server gets some regular players, that way if the server isn't online people can request it to be up, and for other general chats and the likes
  7. I recently created a really nice map I want to use for a PvP server. I have it running fine, but now that I am trying to setup the initial towns for each kingdom I'm having issues. What is the recommended way of setting a settlement token as a "permanent town" for each kingdom? I have tried using deed stake, clicking make permanent, and finishing, but I get an error saying I do not have the silver required. I have spawned a settlement form and created a town, but it does not work correctly and I cannot set kingdom. The server is setup as a creative server with PvP enabled, but not Epic server settings. What is the recommended way to setup starter towns for each kingdom, as I cannot seem to figure it out. Thanks in advance!

  9. Come one, come all to the greatest PVE server to date! We are a new PVE server that is setting up and getting ready to have a ton of fun. We are players from Wurm Online looking to get a medium size server up and running. However we cannot do this without help from other players like you! To get things started, we will be hosting a 1 week only special where we assist with the deed form needed for the first deed. We already have the starter deed set up, so log in now to the Caucasia server! This will be a players server, the GM’s are here to make your wurm experience great. We will take suggestions from players to implement what you want. We plan to implement the following in weeks to come: Random Evening EventsHoliday Events Enemy Villages with loot inside if you can infiltrate Scheduled PVP and Arena style events (In far future) Second server to explore and settle, connected to main. This will not be an OP GM spawn server, but rather a balance server, with balanced prizes to fit Current Settings Map Size: 2048 XP Gain: 7x Skill Timer: 4x NA Hosted server with regular backups, disaster server ready in case of outage. Server Name: Caucasia .... No password!
  10. Freeland! I know there is a large group that believes new servers just dilute our existing server populations even further, but keep an open mind if you would for a moment.. What if we created a new server, make it F2P only, linked it to Steam as a gateway for new players, then made it only possible to leave when you go premium? Here are some characteristics I'm envisioning and changes that would be made (or happen) on the existing servers: 1. GV tutorial could be reset to become the server, or stay as it is and just point a single portal to the new server. 2. On arrival, you will see a clear split in the server, divided by a river or mountain range (or just two separate servers), with signs directing you to the PvE or PvP sides. 3. Skill cap is raised to 50 - all wurm skill based content is now accessible for F2P as a result. 4. There is no currency, no deeding, no upkeep. 5. Decay is a beast! It is 3x the rate outside (keeps the server looking clean for new players). Buildings decay normally if used, but after a week of inactivity from the writ holder, buildings hit 3x decay. 6. Mines collapse rapidly. If no players walk over a mine tile for 3 weeks, the tiles will collapse, destroying anything inside. NO reinforcing can be created here. 7. Roads are like mines. After 3 weeks with no traffic, poof! 8. The land repairs itself - We can dig, surface mine, tunnel and destroy it, but any area that isn't actively being worked will reset. This gets tricky, when a resetting area borders on an actively worked area, but I'm sure devs can figure out how to blend it. 9. This will get some angry villagers and pitchforks, but I think all F2P alts on all other servers will be given notice "Prem or be moved to Freeland". Make a 6 month window, to give people time to figure out what to do with their F2P alts. So many are used for storage, deed holders, etc. Why do this? I think you get a world where new players have more time to experience what wurm is about. Riding horses and carts, making bigger ships, actually being able to fight and win against harder critters. Cooking great meals, all while keeping a huge carrot held out for going prem - Sailing off to the real servers, where stuff lasts, where you can deed, where you can go beyond 50. This should take considerable load off the Pay servers AND drastically reduce the "noob mess" that gets created. Now most of that mess is going to happen in Freeland, where the server's auto healing will constantly clean up the clutter and scarring of the lands. Gives the new players time to learn some manners, learn some mechanics, learn if they really want to be part of the permanent communities of Wurm. Steam? Most of the Steam objections I've heard are "they come be like a swarm of locusts, ruining it for all the existing players". So this gives us a place to help guide and mature those chaotic Steam players, before they are let loose on the world. Sure, they may decide to prem up and move over right away, but this will catch most of the chaotic ones. Two of the biggest complaints I hear from new players is that the servers look all mangled. Dead homesteads and deeds everywhere. Do we want them starting out seeing rotting ghost towns as their first experience? Feels a bit like the game is on it's last legs when you see that at the start. The other big complaint is the 20 cap. People hit it within a day or two. It just isn't enough time to make a decision on prem. Most games that offer a F2P and Prem model have a great deal more play-ability in F2P mode. Make the server Indy sized. Not a Xanadu monster and not a tiny server. Big enough that people won't get crowded if it becomes a big hit and Steam starts pouring in, but not so big that people get frustrated with travel like Xan. Make it travel friendly. Gentler slopes. Thinking of something like the Elevation reset. Lots of water access. I think 90% of players want a coastal deed, so give them coastal. Lots of big islands and fewer big mountains. -Wurmhole
  11. A new server based on the movie Battle Royal. (its the movie that The Hunger Games remade) Arma 3 mod, and minecraft mod exists allready, so many of u guys r familiar with the concept: Last player alive wins. Small randomized server with mapgrids. Server last 3 days IRL, a weekend event. Full PVP. Your char wont be loged out from the game when u quit. Enter via the Portal, and you use the armor and weapon and skill you have. Every 6 hours IRL some mapgrids get contaminetred by Taint, and you take damage if u remain in that zone, until u die. It is perma hardcore death, and cant reenter once it started. as the playarea gets smaller, the more forced confrontations there will be and fights to the death. the last player alive gets to keep what ever the items the other players have droped and can carry back through Portal Home. Broadcast on all servers who won. there are also hidden treasures around the island, but it can be risky to wander around too much besides players, uniques monster roam about too. if more players than 1 are alive when the time runs out, everyone dies by some evil Soul Collector Devil.
  12. I spent most of my time during the latest server test of Xanadu taking screenshots. I went to every spawn point, 1-10, taking pictures of the surrounding areas for your enjoyment!   14. Good morning everyone! I don't know how excited you all are about this new server, but I certainly am! I would really like to cooperate with some other new characters so that our odds for survival increase dramatically. Does anyone want to link up and work together? I have access to a private mumble and teamspeak so we can chat a bit more easily. If you don't have those programs, we can just use Skype or something.   16. Just a dumb idea from the head of a madman.... Introduction of a new server with pvp enabled which will be entirely natural as a giant hunting reserve.... Basically you can sail onto it and bring your gear with you and craft general basic survival items (make healing items from botanized items only, campfires for cooking etc...) You cannot build structures, place deeds or terraform... As per the PVP suggestions... PVP without kingdoms (basically everything is a giant free for all...) although allowing the teaming up of players (so they dont kille ach other in combat... good one for groups of lower skill players to gang together and have some fun hunting), No looting player corpses for personal gains.. It would be nice to have a server where newer players could experience the world of *PROPER* hunting i.e. knowing that your neighbour has not completely farmed out an area, and also allowing them to PVP without having to fear the trauma of losing equipment which enables them to be there.
