  1. I was recently reading through steam reviews, and people saying the game is impossible because it takes months to train one skill, or that they can't find place for their deed, or that they can't support themselfes was astounding. I have impression that most new players get this idea they should claim their own deed to start playing, which is ridiculous. I have to admit, this was my first attempt at Wurm 8 years ago: I joined with my friend and we tried settling down in the middle of a forest (because all coastal plots were taken on Xanadu). And we failed miserably. This time I joined a village, been given a set of tools, a job, a bed, and good food. And the skills are flying now like never before. I think that not giving the new players deed stake will push them towards joining the village, rather than establishing one. Of course that small stick on it's own won't do the entire job: there has to be change in narrative how the game is being presented to the new players. The Steam "About" text says: Please, change this. Make emphasis on joining a village, rather than claiming a plot of land. This game is much easier and much less grindy when experienced together.
  2. Please lessen them, they harm the playerbase. Its impossible to start for noobs on epic and even ppl that come back, its annoying and doesnt help our cluster at all.
