  13. Looking for a rare huge axe, ql doesn't matter. Preferably no enchants. Iron or steel, either is fine. For an average ql, no enchants i'm looking to pay 7-8s, anything with enchants is open to negotiation.

I cannot draw but really would like the option to build walls like in the pic here, so that you can have the option to build just a little strip of wall either to the left or right of a tile, or just across the top, or half arch to the left or half arch to the right...please. We can then build tall arches, or wide arches, as big as we want. All of these parts have to line up when built next to or on top of each other, and when the arches are built there is empty space to the side where the wall is not built, so if you build another one on the adjacent tile they line up like one big over two tile arch, same principle for building them on top of each other to create very tall open spaces.

  18. This is only my second topic now, please forgive me If I put it in the wrong section. Has anyone else noticed the spiders underground? No, not in a cave... the spiders are walking around with just their abdomen sticking out. They look a bit like a rock, but they move around very quickly and attack you. This is on Chaos, near The Landing. It's rather annoying, since it's harder to see the spiders.... I guess I could post a screenshot if anyone feels it's necessary.
  19. Greetings friends, The City Of Opulence, located on the Exodus server is up for sale. Here's some quick facts before the pictures and pitch :- The size of Opulence is 149 x 79 which makes it the second largest deed on Exodus with a whopping 11771 on deed tiles The monthly upkeep with a single spirit templar (for the noobs protection, of course) is 24 silver, 54 copper and 20 iron coins. Opulence is maintained by 5 Traders (4 on deed and 1 on a neighbouring deed that will be included in any sale) which averages between 34 - 38 silvers a month with the correctly set ratio (40 silver this month). Opulence maintains a Vynora and Fo stone altars at 89 - 90ql for an impressive bonus faith for the priests out there as well as a 100 power spirit cottage for those that simply must deliver immediately. Opulence has over 2 dozen exposed iron, tin and copper veins on deed of varying qualities ranging from poor to utmost. Many more await exposure. Opulence comes with 50+ buildings, 30 of which are on housing plots designed for use by villagers. The city has been home to dozens of villagers over the years and is a labor of love and as such deserves to be lived in by an active community. Why am I selling? I've been on Exodus since the day it launched and spent the majority of that time protecting the area we dwell in from the ravages of new players, expansionistic builders and those who would spoil the natural beauty of the land. As a result of that we became a community of park rangers and actively recruited the very people who would accidentally ruin the land in order to help educate them and show them the game in safety while curbing their destructive urges. This grew as the deed did and before long we were caretakers no only of the land but of numerous new players who wandered into the area scratching their heads and not knowing what to do. Many of those noobs became permanent residents who helped shape the future of the City while many more went on to bigger and better things all over the cluster. Of course, maintaining that line of work eventually became more of a chore than a calling so we slowed down our active recruitment and focused instead on our own development. Eventually we began to pine for simpler things and when Xanadu was announced we decided to take the plunge and experience the games wonder anew far away from the familiar. Plus I enjoy having money to spend on shiny things. ANYWAY, here's some pictures of some of the waterfront properties. Interesting historical tidbit. This waterfront used to be a 2 dirt deep puddle that stretched from the far east of the deed to the western edge of Opulence and was excavated to 25 dirt the entire length of the deed to connect the eastern ocean with the western and northern expanses. It was dug long and wide and took two or the original founders 3 months to fully excavate and make available to the words for easy access across the server. Nobody much noticed BUT that wasn't the point. We wanted beachfront property at the foot of a mountain and by god, we got it. Here's some pictures from in town. Opulence actually has 4 distinct housing districts. The waterfront to the north, the central city district for mansion sized properties, the serf residneces to the south (best to keep the help on the outskirts) and a new development along the north west of the town set back from the channel. Between them there are 30 houses, most with stone bases and wooden first floors to maintain a central theme for each area. Here's a few pics from cheapside (that's what we call the serf or noob housing area) and the recently added new builds. Most of the new houses and city center houses have large on plot gardens for a little bit of farming should the residents wish it. Those living in cheapside have access to a large communal plot so they can dabble while learning the basics and deciding whether or not to become productive premium players. They also have access to an adjacent paddock where they can play horse whisperer or breed some cattle. Those living on the waterfront know that space is at premium so have off plot enclosures (off plot, not off deed) for farming, animal husbandry and all the rest. In short, everybody has a place to get their thumb nice and green. Along with these smaller enclosures we have large farm plots specifically set aside for the veteran villagers who have helped build the place over the years. They majority of these guys made their fortunes from farming, mostly to me I might add to fuel my priests. The interior of the town is mostly the smaller farming plots but also has two large store houses and a multi faith church for those hard core sermons we used to put on back in the day. Almost a third of the deed is still undeveloped and awaiting some inspiring fellow to come along and turn it into a new housing estate or a garden of eden. This is located in the south western portion of the deed adjacent to a large landscaped central plateau which I always imagined some day I'd build a huge sprawling castle upon and star calling myself Lord Of Exodus. Maybe someone else can do that. West of this and the new housing district is the border of the city which sports a large and (fairly) active market. While we never really promoted the market after it's completion it still attracted a lot of visitors from the south and central part of Exodus and with a little strategic marketing will no doubt become a major merchant hub in the future. Point of interest, those two Obelisks took ages to build and almost as long to push into position. Labor costs weren't cheap either. So that's the quick and dirty tour. For a less quick but equally dirty one, feel free to browse the album with a bunch more pictures. For even more detail, why not stop by and visit the place yourself? The pictures only show a fraction of what's here and can't really show you how vast and peaceful it really is. Plus you can't see where all the trader buildings are and I knows ya'll be wanting to see them first hand before handing over any coin. Speaking of coin, it's time to get serious. Opulence is a labor of love to me and my villagers and even though we have now mostly departed, the place is not going to rot away. The traders make enough money to keep things ticking over at a profit so I'm not desperate to be shot of it. I will sell it for a reasonable offer but I'm not going to just give it away and I'm nearly as happy to hang onto it just to keep the area from being despoiled by the clueless or befuddled. I really _really_ want to sell this place to a community looking for an existing place to call home or a consortium of players who want to live cooperatively together. That said, any individuals that want a private city all to themselves ... your money is just as good as anybody elses. As for cost, I'll see what I get offered. Think about what's here before you make the offer as this place is not just a collection of traders and stone. It's nearly 3 years of love, sweat and (in some peoples cases) tears. I'm not looking to rip folks off but I'm not desperate to sell at any cost either. I ain't cashing out.   20. I'll attach some pictures. The tile bug is when the textures of another thing are on top of what should be there, like sand that should be cobble. Oftentimes it isn't even lined up on the grid - you'll see. The tile bug is very frequent and has been going on a while. Think I had it on my old laptop too so don't think it's a computer thing. The other bug happens rarely but a random thing [i've seen it happen to horses, people, tower guards, a stone wall] will suddenly have a huge pointy texture that goes up into the sky. I posted one happening to a person some months ago I think, I'll see if I can dig up a link. If you need a log, remind me how to get it and I'll paste it in.   21. Together we rise, Together we shall fall City of Oaksted Lore The fires where fresh, the shouts and screams as villagers where slaughtered within there homes. Frostalphus stood infront of him home, as it burned and crumbled to the ground. His deed was in flames. He looked around, The unknown enemy had broken in through the town walls. It was unexpected. Frostalphus remembered all the people who had helped build this place. And felt a pang of regret as everything crumbled. Right before his eyes. He turned in time to see a nogump come crashing through the gates and charge towards him. He closed his eyes and felt a painful slam as the nogumps grafted morning stars slammed into him. He slipped into unconsciousness. He awoke to the sounds of birds chirping and the sound of the lake. The Morning air smelt fresh and warm, he slowly opened his eyes and looked around, nothing was left, only ruins. Only piles of rubble where houses used to be. A nogump lay slayed in the plaza. The kingdom banner tattered and ruined lay upon the nogump. Frostalphus slowly got up and walked towards the banner, he picked it up and rolled up the cloth, he put it in his backpack along with the rest of the tools he still had. He began walking forwards, Past the rubble of the old mine door. But all of a sudden a man came out, it was his second in command, klickguy, he joined frostalphus on his journeys. Day and night they traveled. Following wherever the roads would take them. Until one day they stumbled across the steppe, and they looked through the barren wasteland, just as they began to walk a familiar and warm voice shouted. The two travelers turned in surprise as an old friend rode up on his cart. Thatdamnkid told the two to hop on and come with him to his deed. The two travelers quickly got on and they began riding through the steppe. Thatdamnkid had heard about what happened to the town and told them if they ever need help, he would be there to assist. The two travelers thanked him. And as they entered the desert Frostalphus told thatdamnkid to stop the cart. He had spotted a spot of land. The two travelers walked forwards and told Thatdamnkid they had found there location. To start afresh. Start there lives over. They began working, Klickguy cut the trees down and Frostalphus turned them into planks. They worked together and soon they had built a shack. Within this shack frostalphus planned the city on paper, buildings, rules and whatever he could think of. His imagination ran wild. City walls thick and defended well, Catapults on every tower. Frostalphus had it all planned out. Days passed as the two worked hard. People came and helped. And soon the entire land was being raised. New friends where made and skills where learnt, Frostalphus vowed that whatever happened. He would not let this city fall. Recruiting Oaksted, a city of safety, comfort and warmth, no fear of the outside world. But that is still a thought, we require assistance in the creation of this idea. We are recruiting, we need dedicated players, new or old, no matter from which background, to assist. There will be a rank system. They assist anyone looking for help. If it's its carrying out missions behind enemy lines or defending the city or its allies. Grand Knight: The brains of the knights operation, they send out the knights on there tasks. These are the highest of the order, only 5 at a time, they each have there own company of men. Grand knights must progress through the ranks of the military and exceed all tasks given. However, the are specifically picked by the Military general and the high council. Require 75+ FS and can be a priest. Knight: Knights are elite soldiers and shadows of the city, they move swiftly executing there moves, Knights require 75+ FS and can be a priest. Squire: Squires are knights in training, these young knights are trialed and judged over a period of time, until deemed worthy of knighthood. Elite buildings: With the knights comes the chapel, this is only allowed to be entered by the knights and members of the high council. This is were they do there meditation and prayers. ================================== At the moment that is the ranking system. ================================== We plan to create a wide variety of buildings and areas. We want to name different areas of the city and streets. We plan to create: Blacksmith Forge Public Workshop Barracks Armour Castle Public Stables Cart stables Warehouses Farms [barns etc.] Public inn General housing, for the civilians. Church And so on. Laws Oaksted does have laws, these are customary for citizens. No stealing, No littering inactivity for two weeks with no good reason before hand or afterwards will be kicked out of the city. Militia will be called upon to fight if times become dire. Soldiers need to have 70+ Fs Militia need to have 50+ Fs Houses and or rooms are available via real estate. We require active players We do not want people who have a record of stealing, looting, and killing for fun. This is a community Jobs can be selected. You can do whatever you want, as long as your know how to do it. or want to learn it. We want to help each other out.
