  1. Two corrections for Wurmpedia entries: 1. The slope limit for hay-drying tiles is currently 10, not 8. 2. Traps work in the Freedom Isles. Cheers.
  2. So I'm unsure if this is a bug or a feature, but I reckoned it couldn't help to report it anyway! I have a barn that my sheep go in in winter (I can't leave them all shorn outside in the snow!) and this has been the first winter they've used it. I'm just doing the shearing rounds, and I noticed this: [18:11:20] An aged fat sheep 'Celeste' eats some hay stack. Now I didn't put any hay in their troughs, but there is some on the floor above in the hay loft! Here is an image of the hay loft. And for the record, Celeste has never been up there.
  3. Made with dry grass. Bound with wires or maybe even just string. Skills under husbandry maybe as we don't really have ranching per se. Downs Heavier than a pile of grass Bulkier than combined grass so as many won't fit in a raft Works if planted but not if dropped (inconvenience timer because grass is easy to drop in a pile) Ups Other than an addition to the environment/immersion of the game, grass does the same thing so there probably aren't any Discussion welcome as always but please give a reason for a -1 so I can modify the suggestion.
  4. A simple idea many have probably already thought of or wished for. I searched the forums and didn't find any posts concerning this, however, so I'm going to make a post for it. Basically just cut a bunch of grass, which gets you mixed grass which is an existent item already, maybe at least 40kg of it or something. Dry it somehow like putting it in a heat source like a forge, oven, or campfire. This will get you 'Dried Mixed Grass', which if fed to a horse or other herbivore as is would feed them twice as much as the same amount in normal Mixed Grass. To make it into a bale, make sure it's all combined into one item that's at least 40kg(or whatever), and activate some 'String of Cloth', right click on the Dried Mixed Grass, and click 'Make Bale' or Create>Bale or whatever. As to how long it will last, I'm thinking maybe one horse all alone may take 1 week to finish off a bale. 80 pounds is a lot of fodder. All of this is open to changing and tweaking as it's a fairly loose idea. Pros Lasts longer than fresh cut grass Will allow keeping animals in smaller spaces Will allow animals to be kept inside in 'stables' Will give your pastures a break from all the packing Insures your animals will be fed for a long while Cons Will take a lot of work to gather grass May encourage 'inhumane' animal containment (eg animals in 1x1 pens or whatever) I'd wrack my brain to come up with more cons, but I'm tired and want to go to bed. Feel free to voice you opinions about this. If you like it or dislike it, be sure to explain why and how you might change it to make it work. 'I don't like it cuz it's stoopid.' isn't a good explanation...
