  1. VOLANTIS v2 I've had some great feedback over the last 2 years and implemented a number of server changes which sadly resulted in a reset of the map for the first time in August 2018. Myself and my other GMs will happily help recreate old deeds and reimburse any lost skills / items. Please log a ticket in-game and we will try our best to compensate. Server Details A custom map which offers a mixture of PVE and PVP playing styles with missions and events to participate in. The Server Offers: 5 crates of resources upon deeding to build your village (delivered within 24 hours) Level 35 Starting Skills Level 30 Starting Tools 7.5x Skill and 8x Actions Drake Mounts - very fast but rare! Good Infrastructure throughout the map with highways, portals and resting areas Battle Arena to fight waves of monsters based on skill level Game of Thrones style missions. Resurrect Viserion to face the final battle and claim your dragon mount. Vampire vs Vampire Hunter Free Deed and Upkeep Free Horse for new explorers Comprehensive Training Ground for New Players We welcome any improvement suggestions so please get in touch if you have any ideas. Starter City All new players will enter the Training Grounds however, you have the option to skip the scenario The training grounds gives a guided tour of the game, teaching new members skills in Digging, Mining, Chopping Trees, Fighting and Crafting. The Landscape and Resting Areas: Volantis has a smooth terrain and rock can be found 40 digs below any surface. The sandy coastlines make for a perfect harbour but beware of the scorpions! The map has good infrastructure with roads and portals around the map. Travellers will find places to rest and trade throughout the map: Game of Thrones Campaign - Castle Black: The GoT Campagine is being expanded but the objective is to travel beyond the wall, a PvP Roleplaying style zone, defeat the whitewalkers and battle Viserion to win a dragon mount. Mods Installed Include: Battle Arena: The battle arena offers 5 levels, each of increasing difficulty, which summons waves of monsters for you to battle. There are currently two arenas: Basic: (1) Wolf, (2) Cave Bug, (3) Large Rat, (4) Scorpion, (5) Bear. Intermediate: (1) Brown Bear, (2) Scorpion, (3) Crocodile, (4) Fire Fiend and (5) Troll. To activate a battle, examine either the Basic or Intermediate level signs. The Battle Arenas can be found in Kingslanding near the castle: The Crypt of Vampires: Ever fancied becoming a Vampire or Vampire Hunter? You will benefit from increased skill gains in exchange for the risk of being bitten / staked! This is essentially PVP but without the risk of your buildings being destroyed (if built in the PVE zone).   2. So i had this crazy idea. What if we were able to make a Portal to a map that was ultimately a PvP Arena. Would work similar to Epic Portals only inventory and everything stays on transfer. Player inside the arena could Fight and loot each others drops. GMs could even hold events. Toggling ON and OFF PvP in this enclosed area. It would be like maybe 150x150. Hunger Game Style build. Players could watch from the stands around the PvP/Event zone. Or go down into the Zone to actually join the event. GMs could adjust the terrain in this area to fit the event. Some lava tiles and sand traps. Few Water tiles. Lots of trees. I mean just an idea but i think it be cool it the community could be brought together Via this Portal to a Combat World/Event World. Could be a tiny server, with an enclosed Deed like the GV. Let me get some +1 for this idea. I mean... Just imagine. The Wurmians all gathered in the arena as GM Enki arrives with Spawning commands. 50 Zombies spawn and players fight to kill them off. When they die they spawn back (out of arena) with no way back in Cuz the doors are locked, Its down the wire. 5 Players left. 10 Zombies. 1 Of the players is a priest and starts healing the remaining 4. But he loses an arm and dies. Finally down to the last man alive. He wins! Gets awarded (some prize). Um.. yes! > and Please leave the hate out of this conversation. lol Could even double as a Lobby for players to chat O.O Maybe Global Market system. (maybe not) lol Ps. Maybe Even put it in GV. So new players will join and See LOTS of players online in local? O.O

What is Fairytail Island? Fairytail Island is a Wurm unlimited Server Based of a Popular Anime called Fairy Tail! Using the Earthland Map of Fairy Tail and with the help of Miretta, we created a world very Similar to the design of Fairy Tail. Does this server have PVP or Just PVE? This server is a PVE world with a PVP Island. It also has "Hunt of the Ancients(HotA)" Events. Is this server dedicated? How long will it be up for? Fairytail Island was created as a place for players to join and play for a long time. It is dedicated and Open 24/7, 365. What kind of events does this server have? Fairytail Island will hold Unique Slayer Events, HotA, as well as Special Exp Events. (More Events to Come) What is the current server setup?   7. Winterscape - Jonydowy Hi Everyone! Another week down as we work on our many projects coming to fruition, I know I'm excited for the cages and something that hasn't been announced yet, but that'll have to wait until it's closer to the release date so stay tuned for more news on that. This week we'll touch on a few upcoming events and competitions! Blossom and Whitefay redesigns The proposal entries for Blossom and Whitefay redesigns are up, so if you're interested in submitting a proposal, get a team together and get cracking! The proposal threads can be found here: Wurm fanart ingame! Starting next Tuesday, the 1st of the month, we'll be launching a competition for you all to submit entries for a new tapestry design. The rules will be pretty straight forward, with original works or ingame screenshots required (no copyright material!) and one entry per person. A decent resolution must be used too, but we'll make sure it fits properly. The winner will receive a supreme version of their tapestry when it goes into the game! Weekend highway testing We'll be looking at setting up some scenarios for testing the new highway system this weekend, providing materials to build and form your own highways, as well as use the routing system. We'll also be looking at some events on the test server utilizing the new system and the ability to win some prizes in the live server! Midsummers event, last weekend! Don't miss out! This event finishes up at the end of the month, so this is your last chance to get in there and get the awesome Mask of Rebirth as your prize! I've heard there are a few maps floating around, so if you've been waiting for a guide to go through, now is your time! Wurm Unlimited Moorlands Rules and Features: 1) RP. Moorlands is a Role Playing (RP) Community. Please observe Role Playing etiquette at all times. Because Moorlands is an RP focused community, we only accept English speaking players—this decision is made solely with an eye toward RP. I promise that we love you all equally, despite this requirement. 2) Chat. Local Chat is for RP purposes only. Please remain In Character (IC) when speaking in Local Chat. In Global Chat and Personal Messages (PM), you are free to converse Out of Character (OOC). 3) PvP. Player Versus Player (PvP) is enabled in Moorlands for RP purposes only. Violation of these guidelines will not be tolerated. 4) Wisdom. As an RP server, one of the features Moorlands offers is what we refer to as retained Wisdom. We all come from somewhere. The trades we practiced and skills we honed were hard-earned. As you arrive here in Moorlands, the Wisdom you gained prior to this time is not lost. Therefore, every new character to Moorlands, is granted Five Level 5 Affinities, i.e. a Level 5 affinity in 5 separate skills.
  11. It's been a quiet week as we gather ourselves after Rifts and the anniversary, some events unfortunately couldn't get their issues resolved, but others are ready to go, But first... Patch Notes The Grand Tour (of Independence) This months anniversary hunt is a tour of some of the old great works of Independence, some made by many, some by one or two, each has their own story, and you get to see some of the oldest! This event will be a little different to Spellcasts brain teasers, and Enkis murder fests. This will be utilising a new human NPC for giving out the missions, and follow a more quest chain style, as part of testing for the tutorial system, so if you haven't gone to any before, or are worried about corpse runs, come and check it out! The event starts on Sunday at 12pm UTC+1 at the Howl. There are some other events planned, but will have less warning, to ensure that they aren't taken advantage of too soon, but are planned for most servers (Xanadu may take more planning but we will work on it!) Starter deed upgrades The work on the starter deeds has begun, with some amazing changes coming through, we'll cover these once they're finished and a chat with the workers!. New client work continues We continue to update the unstable client as bug reports come in, if you experience a bug, please ensure to include the build number, found at the bottom left corner of the launcher: When we update the build number, test again to see if the bug is still present and let us know! Steam updates The 1.0.0.7 Wurm Unlimited update will go live next week, we will update the #wurmunlimited topic on IRC with the date when decided. Community Content Factional fight returns! this week saw the return of Factional Fight videos, the well loved streams of wurm, with a podcast style discussion. We've got a lot in this weeks news, and I'm sure you're all itching to hear about it, from the PvP changes to cave dwellings, so let's get stuck in! But first... These changes are now open for discussion and feedback, and we will work with you over the following week to ensure that they are positive changes! The full list of proposed changes can be found in our feature feedback thread here: Easter! Easter is upon us, and that means several things, namely, the Easter bunny! The bunny will now spawn automatically on easter, rather than requiring being summoned. They will spawn around the starter deed, so keep your eyes peeled! Easter Impalong. There's an impalong at the amazing Hill of Swedes deed on Deliverance this weekend, with Daash and co. putting on a tremendous setup, one of my favourite impalong locations so far (Okay, I'll admit, they've all been my favourite). Already some strange mobs have been sighted, as well as the sound of GM's chuckling as they assault the poor Wurmians. I'll be popping in from time to time over the weekend and hope to see you all there! Cave dwellings public testing! This weekend is the launch of our public testing for cave dwellings! I've been working hard this week on setting up a huge cavern for you all to jump in and build your very own home underground, but thats not all... We'll be hosting a special giveaway for those who have jumped on and tested it out, upon testing, you'll be able to fill in a quick survey about your experience and ensuring that it all went smoothly. Five lucky testers will be selected to win a prize of five sleep powders, with 1 winner receiving a grand prize of a beautiful rare 90quality silver pickaxe, with a cast of 100 Blessings of the Dark! Perfect for getting your cave ready for the mansion you'll be building! The thread with all the info will go live early tomorrow in the public testing board, so make sure you check it out! I spy with my little eye, something beginning with T, it's a treasure hunt! Enki has put together a wonderfully fun hunt for next weekend on Pristine, I tested it myself and it proved to be quite entertaining. If you're a professional Treasure hunter, or a master at I spy, or just awesome at jigsaw puzzles, this hunt is bound to be your kind of thing! The hunt starts on March 33... You'll have to ask Enki about that one. Weekly question Weekly user content This week we look at the first of a long range of tutorial videos made by Moot Red, a streamer who has spent his time teaching new players to both Wurm Unlimited and Wurm Online how to survive in the complicated in-depth world that is Wurm.   13. Wurm is player generated place and but that doesn`t mean it should be totally 100% that. There are might be some events that will bring some diversity and surprise to peaceful or not wurmian life. So here are my suggestions: 1. Undead creatures. Is there a reason why that is not implemented yet? You kill a creature, leave the corpse... and then you`ll have to kill it again! Or when you die and leave your corpse rotting to 100 dmg... and then you`ll suddenly meet a dead person walking around. 2. Keep away from that decayed house. While some players leave Wurm and leave their deeds to decay... you can make that a feature! I keep bumping into abandoned decayed deeds. I assemble a scavenging team and take whatever is not nailed to the floor. But what if that would be dangerous? Not just free stuff lying around but an undead corpse lurking around. Or just rats around that full fsb. 3. Wild caves. Oh an abandoned mine! There might be a gold vein there... oh no, its a bear`s den. Yeah, why animals live in that birchwood rock pile on the road while they can live in caves?

Hi Me and my family made a server and we wanted to add the whole season changing and holiday events but we can't figure out how we do that, I tried searching how you can make a Halloween event or changing the season to fall, etc. but nothing has come up. We want to add and do the specials things on our server like Wurm Online does to theirs. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
  16. I have noticed that in the middle of working you may tend to not notice that ever so rare notification of a person whom you KOS'd slipping through the humdrum of the Events tab. I suggest, that that "event" be moved to the Village tab so that it is more likely to be seen and noted and not missed. I have an alt that fortunately caught a message from an old KOS'd individual who logs on every so often to view the area...and does not leave apparently. Pushing the creation tab of mining caused me to miss the notification, because the even is so rare and was soon out of event menu info and gone. It would be more noteworthy to put it in the village tab because you have to have a village to KOS someone in the first place and it will allow others in your village to more quickly view it as well. Just an suggestion.
  17. This idea stems from all the "alts" that are popular to leave on while afk for sleeping or working in order to see who is doing what in the area. Stone or wood they would be place on deed or in house(which I would prefer..to hide) from others knowing you had one. The idea is to log area events of what people are doing in and around your house/deed area. Sure you may not catch a griefer but still would be nice to know Who is doing it or who keeps popping up in your area. Two ideas stem from this..To log who comes into local and/or who is performing actions in the area. I propose buying them off the Traders for a one time cost of 2 silver, then a 1 Iron per tile monthly upkeep(so Rolf gets it made) or make it craftable free. Have the option for it to log both people and actions in the area for 1iron each choice even. Make it affordable so initial cost every newb wont want to pay but make it cheap to maximize area for more experienced players. The idea behind this is because there seems to be a SHARP rise of griefing going on. NOT that this would fix it..but if the offenders are that bold..LET THEM BE KNOWN with their actions so we know who they are..instead of hiding what they do. Sentinel Post ( 2 silver off trader / Craftable? ) Logs people in area: paid for, ( logging who comes into area and/or perform actions ) Cost: 1 iron per choice / per tile so a 10*10= 100 tiles or 1 copper/mo unless you want to also log people who come into area as well then mo. cost would be 2 copper/tile. ( if needed have a max area available to keep server resources down) Rolf wins initial and monthly cost we get to see more without having to keep people logged on and clutter the system as well as worrying about server downtimes then relogging all the alts back in. I would like to welcome you to the market and discuss it's functions. There are 60+ merchants on deed loaded with good items. The setting is great and the market well organised. Mail box and open public trader right at the center of the Plaza. The plaza has been running about 2 years now and will continue to server the community for years to come.   19. After a long talk in our freedom chat. I'm posting here about a new community project. We heard a lot about that kind of stuff, there were many tries... but here you are, directly out of the deed planner : Deliverance Stadium ! You can visit the stadium with the deed planner here : http://pastebin.com/d6gbdq0s How do I see the project : Due to the access tunnel to get inside the arena from both gold mine doors we will need a really close rock layer, that can be achieved with both terraforming and raising the rock with concrete. The project needs as well lots of mats, 13k bricks and mortar at least for the walls, 366 marble slabs and so on, it's a crazy huge project the complex alone is 15x28 on 4 storey high. It can be done by a single man, but will be way better to be conduct by the whole community. I would like to see that stadium and the buildings around on a deed with enough perimeter for people to have some hunting ground around and see the stadium from a wider area. As well, if the deed can have a public trader to pay for the upkeep it would be a must have. Templars are obviously a no-go, how will you do some PvE if the templars are helping you. Guards tower can be helpful though to the visitors. I would have first your insights on where we can plan that project, would you like to help, what kind of event would you like to see. The Plaza is up and running, The event section should be open in time for a Christmas event. After wroking long hours, Puzzle Plaza is now the main MarketPlace for the whole Deliverence server. I would like to Reach out to all the players that helped with DMP and watched as it fell. The DMP was a place built by many good players all with the right intentions. The reason it was built and the person who birth the idea may have been alittle less forth coming of why. So to all that helped I hope Puzzle Plaza will be in your travels for the future. Accomplishments: Since opening the Market has attracted over 50 mercahnt and has Hosted 2 major events: The server wide god spells were successfully casted on the 22nd of september 2012 and the Troll king was slain one week later on the 30th of september 2012. We are working toward a great place where the whole community can meet up and have fun, make friends, and celebrate this wonderful game we all love to play. Something new: Webbler, Monctonclown, Tep and Snoo have been working on a desert and when complete will be 16,500 tiles in total, making it the biggest desert on Deliverence server. It is located Just west of the main entrence of the Plaza. For all new hunters and all old, it should prove a nice hunting ground and centeral locations for all. The Truth behind the events. After hearing of a place called Puzzles labyrinth, I quickly contacted these Players. Griphyth (also see blog) Faeran (Maze Designer) Nicilie (Building Champion) We Lassoed the Idea together in Fusion of a game/event deed, Comperhensive Market area and a Well designed Puzzle/Labyrinth, in a compact area. The Puzzle: Monthly events ( 1 week on 5-6 weeks off). Games, Mini quests designed by us for the players, Team events with preists needed to complete tasks inside the Labyrinth (challenges for older players) and a 4 day event timer, for starting events at maximum players online ( Sermons between thurs-sat) While players gather for a Sunday event time.   21. A few weeks ago I saw a travel documentary showcasing a horse race through the streets of some European city. The streets were quite narrow, and lined with thousands of cheering fans on both sides. This left only a small path for the riders to navigate their speeding horses! And the track was dirt or sawdust, and curved bent and twisted around a very few small city blocks. Everyone looked extremely excited and engaged - and the riders were really worked over when the event was done. There was even a huge wreck with horses and men falling to the ground and piling up on one another ... spectacular! What does the community think about establishing some form of horse racing across the islands of Wurm? />http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horse_racing There are of course the modern forms of horse racing that could be matched - - but - - it might also be very interesting to put a medieval or Wurm'ian twist on the sport! It is, after all, a different World!

  23. My idea is this: What if human corpses left for a period of time greater than their 24 hours of loot-protection, have a chance of turning into a zombie? The chance should not be very high (somewhere below the 50% mark imo) and the zombie will be aggro to everyone. So unlike standard summoned zombies, it will not have an owner. As a standard zombie, I believe it could keep the rule of only being able to live for so long (24 hours iirc) but if it finds corpses to eat (similar to pigs butchering corpses, but better) then it should be able to add 1-2 hours onto it (possibly per corpse, though it's need for food could be timed so that it won't eat enough inside the 24 hours to last another 24 and thus will eventually die) In terms of eating corpses, it should be able to butcher the corpse and then take all the meat from the corpse. As for the zombie's fighting skill, it would be unfair to give it a percentage of fs as you could end up with a zombie taking 80% of the fs of someone with 90fs The zombie, in my opinion, should take 25 fighting skill to kill (allowing non-premiums to still stand a chance but without making it into an unbelievably weak aggro) Unlike living beings, I believe the zombie should be virtually immune to bruising, because....well...it's already dead....It's gonna take a flesh wound to kill it again! Upon examining the zombie, I believe it could be noted what player it once was, for example: "You catch a look of the zombie's face and recognize it as once being *Playername*..." In terms of this being for animals instead of just humans, I feel that could cause too many issues with creatures being scattered at deed borders. So, does wurm think this is a good idea? If so, see http://wurmonline.us...ummoned-zombies to vote so we can see how popular the idea is. Feedback Zombies should have a cooldown to prevent mass-zombie spawning (Suggested by Aetherwalker) - e.g. each player can only have 1 corpse turn into a zombie per 24 hours. Chance of becoming a zombie should be directly affected by player stats (Most likely Characteristics) so that a corpse as a result of /suicide cannot become a zombie and very weak players (e.g. a team of alts planning to harrass someone with zombies) have a very very low chance of becoming zombies, whilst stronger players have higher chances of becoming a zombie (Suggested by Tinkerer) EDIT TO THE ABOVE: Players with under 24 hours in-game time should also be incapable of having zombie corpses. Special Event: Ability for all corpses to come alive at night (Zombie Apocalypse), Zombies would have immense aggro ranges (more than trolls and hell hounds by far) and whilst not being exceptionally strong, they would gather and move as groups (Zombie Hordes). (Thanks Perryn) - Could also mean that players recieve an achievement for surviving a Zombie Apocalypse. - P.S. Would be ideal to have this specifically on halloween. (Perryn Also) If a player recieves a bite from a zombie, they are infected and have a limited amount of time (e.g. 30 minutes or until the next nightfall) to apply a healing cover (or something similar, e.g. praying to your god and then attaching the healing cover, or having a priest do the same if you are not a follower). - Would mean that zombies should not bite that much, or they would have to specifically penetrate your armor. If you are killed by a zombie on the Zombie-apocalypse event, and have greater than 24 hours in-game time (for newbie's sake) then your corpse will become a zombie after a certain time (possibly 1-2, or 3-4 hours?) - Edited slightly but suggested by Mrdude
