  1. I am playing Wurm Unlimited via Steam on my Windows 10 PC. I am having a repetitive issue where whenever a creature dies, I de-sync from the server. By De-Sync, I mean that I am no longer able to take actions, and I can't pick-up or drop anything. It reminds me of when I am lagging really badly. It sticks like that until I quit and re-open my client. After re-installing the client and the server, it changed from this de-syncing into instantly re-connecting me every time a creature dies. The bigger problem is that when I kill a creature myself, I crash! In terms of mods, I am running no client mods. The client is on version 1.9.1.5 I am running some server mods: betterdig cropmod nodamage onetilemining spellmod timerfix I am pretty sure none of those have anything to do with creatures or fighting. Please let me know what other files & details I should provide to give you more information about my issue. Edit: I should mention, I play solo on a server hosted on the same PC that I play with. My character was made on an Epic server but I travelled to a Creative Server (also hosted by me). On both servers, my character has been given Level 5 GM Permissions but only temporarily, and I am playing on Level 0 Permissions when these crashes happen. I did not have these problems while I was playing on the Epic server. I only started to encounter these issues on the Creative Server.

Upon logging in yesterday I instantly died, circumstances and conditions are as follows: Logged off as commander in my Knarr in a cave, checked event logs to confirm I did indeed embark as commander, and not as passenger, (relevant extract below). Upon logging in next day I got a very brief view of the knarr, as if I were looking through the walls at it, followed by death popup. red tunnel. I had some issues finding my corpse, which was not in the cave, and did not appear on the surface above the tile I logged out on, I did find it in the end, displaced 3 tiles away from my log off position, above ground, but obscured by trees/bushes. From the look of it I was placed in the centre of a rock tile on logging in, instead of on the tile where I logged off, I'm unsure if my corpse was further displaced after death, before/during popping to surface, or if my character was displaced that far away from the log out point, either way, I luckily was able to find my corpse, rather than have it destroyed in a rock tile.
  4. Hello, My character Blucher is having an issue. I haven't played her in a while but popped in for a bit to fill deed upkeep. My deed is the Cookhouse on Xanadu. Blucher is the mayor. She died and when I tried to come back in, I received options for all the starter deeds, Start, outside most of the starter deeds, and 'outside the cookhouses'. Unfortunately, this apparently translates to 'wayyyy up the mountain above the cookhouse'. Oddly enough, several years ago, I made a tunnel up to the top of the mountain which has since failed in several places including the upper mine door. Every time I have died (3 times now tonight) it has brought me to the tile immediately outside where the mine door used to be. If it helps any, there is an FSB up there just a couple tiles north of that spot. Anyway, I will leave Blucher signed in for as long as possible tonight in case that helps. HEllo, i have a priest named Grumpyman Today at 4Am he died all of a sudden, so i was trying to figure out what happened, turns out i couldnt I checked Combat log and found [01:51:16] Beastwolf casts Charm animal on aged fat Fastcall. [04:13:27] You are dead. Nothing between the time of death for more than 2 hours So i checked Event [03:59:21] You feel rested. [04:03:12] Humpsalot gives you a scared look. [04:12:59] The venerable fat Greyagnes grazes. [04:13:27] You are dead. Nothing of importance? I then scrolled up on my chat log to see maybe SOMEHOW i magically typed /suicide i used the Up arrow feature to see all the things i last typed, nothing of the sort. His body was next to at least 15 other players in a protected sermon house. I tested /suicide on another player and it clearly says it in event when you do. So that wasnt the case On skill tab And i only lost ONE skill [04:13:27] Tracking decreased to 1 THATS IT, the only thing in my skills tab
  6. It's finally happening. The seals are plotting revenge against me, and the cows are first. I witnessed a seal murdering a cow near my deed today, even though: It wasn't hungry. Seals cannot eat cow meat. Seals are special-cased to only eat fish, but because they're technically carnivores, they will apparently hunt, maim, murder, and destroy prey animals... which they cannot eat. This seems like an oversight??? EDIT: It seems like carnivores in general do get their hunger lowered upon killing a prey creature. Maybe. So it may be the case that seals, who can only eat fish, still kill other prey and get nourishment from it, and then probably can't eat the corpse, and definitely can't eat the meat.

On our server, when a player dies/suicides without a tent/deed/or being a citizen of a deed, and they select an option OTHER than Spawn (outside spawn, for instance) to re spawn their toon the player winds up in the ocean on the edge of the map. We are stumped as to why this is happening and I've read numerous threads but haven't located a solution. Here is what we tried so far: 1.) The "spawn point" is a permanent starter deed created by the lead GM 2.) The initial "spawn point" for all characters is a central location in the starter deed. We have verified that new characters spawn successfully at this location. 3.) Random spawn is NOT checked in the server settings box 4.) The server is PVE with one kingdom and set as a home server 5.) We even removed the link between the future PVP map and the PVE map 6.) We removed the soulstones from the database (this is a custom map) 7.) We setup a premium spawn point using focus zones Does anyone have any thoughts on why this is happening and how to fix it?   9. I have 2 bridges linked at 90 degrees on a cliffside thousand of slope above the valley,. When I turn the corner occasionally it dismounts me, but usually I can just remount. The bridges are linked by a stone tower 1x1. This time it dismounted me and a text tells me on not on the same bridge as it even though i'm standing next to it. I relog to find myself below the bridge falling down the cliff to my death. Speaking to people, this is a known bug and happens to others. p's Still waiting for a GM response in game.

  12. Ghosts and haunts wandering around old deed sites, at least ones that were occupied by larger deeds for a significant period of time. Especially around gravestones? Only harmed by priests and/or specialized weapons? A possible usage for priests in exorcising the spirits and cleansing the area. BL priests could feed of or increase the haunted. On player ghosts, I recall how in Ultima Online when one died you became a wandering spirit and were invisible to other players until you came near and started talking. Course to most players you looked like a cloaked ghost and anything spoken, sounded like ""Ooooo oOOOOoooo!" unless they had enough points in a skill called Spirit Speak Was unable to interact with anything else ingame for the most part. Couldnt walk through walls; though, that was a shame. Players could resurrect other player ghosts, and there were a few wandering NPC healers as well. Was thinking something similar for Wurm; although the potential for spy abuse (on pvp and pve) is readily apparent. Most interesting usage of this could come from having only certain features, items, etc visible from the "spirit" realm.   13. In similar respects to how in DnD one finally dies from bleeding out -10 hp. The Battlefield multiplayer franchise has the body remain for a certain time period for possible medic rezzing, the player can lengthen the window by not respawnign asap. Although what I have in mind would require overhauling the death and injury system to allow for resurrections, primitive surgery, resuscitation, ancient version of CPR, mouth-to-mouth for drowning and choking, whatever Currently in Wurm, you run out of hp... you're dead and immediately respawned. I would argue for a certain time period before final death where you can be revived in a manner befitting the nature of the fatal injuries. EDIT: Also akin to BF, the player can shorten or extend the window by respawning after a certain set time period. The player would only be lootable after final death (maybe some limited stripping allowed during), and during that critical period you can be pulled to safety, healed on the spot, or just left to bleed out. Of course any resurection magic should require heavy concentration, faith, and favor. A BL version of the Mag res stone ability, could make use of Rebirth to allow the BL player limited control of their zombie char till 24hrs comes (logging off leaves the zombie as a NPC). Throw in some lust for blood, gore, and brains for fun. Player body while down can still be "stripped" (limited looting?) and the zombie corpse can be looted once killed. More chances for Rebirth with higher difficulty? Also such a system could be further extended to allow for capturing players, BL slavery, prison breaks, rescue missions, and etc
  14. Death by crocodile multiple times tonight, so I've managed to gain a little experience. It appears to me, that they never stop chasing. Yes, I'm on foot. Perhaps with a horse it is not an issue, but there are still people trying to make their way without horses and this seems to be the experience awaiting them. I could take my cart, but many hills, and if I die then my cart is out there while I'm not. Building that thing was a symphony of mad failure so... would rather keep it safe for a while as I've seen crocs go as fast as carts. By my last adventure out (so far, going back in a minute) I was only carrying 1.30kg of weight. I was able to just keep on running even when my stamina was at a sliver. And run I did. Here's what I've tried: Running down a rocky slope. I do speed up, but it would appear the croc sped up just as much. I took a lot of damage, the croc did not. Impact with the ground eventually killed me but if it hadn't, I simply would have been tenderized meat limping away to be eaten. Water, well, obviously not. Crossing someone else's deed. Leading it to a very (very) steep slope so that I could climb and hopefully it couldn't didn't phase it one bit. Crossing a field of peat hoping that might slow it down... not even a little. Cue the Benny Hill music, circle trees. No go. Go around a tar tile or two so that I'm not slowed down but could hear it having to walk through it behind me... no effect. Head straight for a pig. Bacon has got to be tastier than a scrawny, bony noob but... no luck. I think there should be at least one option. One thing a new player / returning player with new toon can do to get away if they are willing to try hard enough. I did survive this last time, but only because I was carrying so little I was able to turn around and run all the way back to my templar at home. Not a short trip, and the croc followed me the entire way no matter what. I've been chased by hell hounds that eventually did give up the chase. Can't think of another creature I've encountered that never stops. I'm all for a dangerous world. Not asking that it be made easy to get away, just that it be possible. Failure can be a great motivator and inspiration. I'll eventually be riding a horse and this will all be a laugh, but in the meantime, no possibility of success in a given situation could be a pretty big turn off to people playing a game. Anyone agree? Disagree? Have a good recipe for slow-cooked pot roast?

Having a major problem with animals dying on deed. below is a list of all animals that have died within a 24 hour period and the conditions that apply: Astoria and Astoria Basin (Deliverance) 1. Deed tile/animal ratio - 69(Astoria), 20(Astoria Basin) 2. Large open area for movement. 3. Groomed and fed Daily (Grazing area replanted daily as well) (1 animal was on enchanted grass) 4. No diseases 5. No mobs gained access 6. Animals were on deed 7. Two of the dead were being cared for List of animals: 1 Adolescent Champion Dog 1 Adolescent Pony 1 Adolescent Chic (rooster) 1 Aged Deer 1 Old Hen (cared for by Awen) 2 Venerable Horses (1 being cared for) 3 Venerable Deer I can understand about the venerable animals, but the younger animals don't make sense..... Please Assist!

  19. A reason to bury bodys and something that makes death a little gentler the more you die. The afterlife skill gains points when you die (bigger increase) and when you bury a body (smaller increase). The afterlife skill reduces the amount of experience lost through death by (skill level / 4)%. The afterlife skill does not decrease on death. Erm... That's it.
  20. I hitched my large cart with an adolescent and mature fat bull, then began riding the cart through a tunnel that is in line with the water table. I got off the cart to clear a cave in, then continued forward on horse to run an errand. I returned to the cart about 20 minutes later to find the bulls dead under the cart. I was really confused and butchered the corpses to confirm they hadn't starved (both had 10 and 12 meat) and were adolescent and mature, so shouldn't have died from old age. Both entrances to the tunnel are secure and tracks gave no results of anyone around to kill the bulls. It was a very short period of time and I think it has to have been a bug. Only factors I can think of was the specific tile they died on was about 1 tile below water level, can animals drown in a shallow mine like that? It was only about 20 minutes that they were left standing there.

Over the last week or so a number of my villagers are complaining about dead horses, I had assumed it was due to disease as one villager had a few with disease, possibility for spreading etc. Some of these horses were /carefor too. Until this morning I entered a villagers house to put some things away, noticed an aged brown horse by the forge hitched up and well fed... I walked away to do something outside the town when I heard a neigh, didn't think much of it, less than 10mins later that villager logged in to find his horse was dead. This is on the Deli server btw. I can't find much on the forums about it, so I thought I'd throw a post up after someone commented that they've seen other people complaining about the same thing.
