  1. The weapon, shield, armour skins of wurm that currently exists in the Premium award store is a great addition to the game. However the community is split between pvp and pve and in order to get the pvp community to also open their wallets and spend some monlthy subs on these skins would be to make an option that is maybe 3 times as expensive as a regular skin but make it an infinite resource for that account but only for that account. The problem pvp face atm is that anything you own can be lost even purchased store items, this is how it should be in pvp but there is no reason why we cant have skins and cosmetics that doesnt change the outcome of combat be one of the few things that you do keep upon death. Problems with this solution: if you can have an infinte supply cant you just make an endless amount of that weapon and give it out to all players on the cluster? Yes, you can and this is where we need a clever fix if devs can give input on this. Maybe we can change how permanent skins work, instead of an item you stick to a weapon you just get all weapons of the purchased specific skin to be displayed as such only when your account is holding it. Once dropped its just a regular weapon once more. If this could be fixed I imagine tons of players on the pvp clusters would bathe their characters in customised items. As weapons/armours/shields of all types are very commonely used on the pvp clusters constantly and currently there is a demand to distinguish pvp groups from one another. *edit* This is how kingdom tabard works as it displays your kingdom no matter who made the tabard, maybe we could make skins work in a similiar fashion?
  2. Just as the title says. Priceless. As in, you cannot truly purchase it at any price. Major companies spend millions per annum trying to do so, to get the pulse of what their customers want. All fail. Realize it for what it is, and embrace it. And realize it's a form of love from your customers. Customers who don't care, just, in the case of an online game, quit and never return, and never bother telling you why. You just never see them again. If a customer is telling you what's wrong, that's because they care, and they want you to fix it. They are coming to you with their grievances in a last ditch attempt to get you to acknowledge that they feel they've been wronged or aggrieved in some fashion, and they are coming to you for remedy. They are not coming to be told they don't matter. They are not coming to be mocked. And perhaps most importantly... they aren't coming to be wholesale ignored. So take it as ye will, to your benefit or financial peril. Ye can lead a horse to water...
  3. "I've got the best deals anywhere!" Like that goblin in WoW says. I always hear that line in my head whenever I'm browsing a merchant's ad. The responses to an earlier thread (which I shan't link here), got me to thinking about all the awesome 'customer service' which I've received from the various merchants here in Wurm. Which led to the creation of this particular thread. Let's talk about some awesome merchants, shall we? There are two that rank as TOTALLY AWESOME in my book of merchants. When I first started playing, way back when puppy dogs were the oldest creatures, the first merchant I dealt with in Wurm was Booskii. Fortunately, (or unfortunately for some...) her kindness and willingness to 'go the extra mile', would forever colour my perception on how I think a merchant should act and treat their customers. She was my go to for my very first 3 and 4 speed horses, and my very first 5 speed which she gave me as a GIFT when my favorite (and at the time, only) 4 speed got murdered by a mob back when someone thought it was a good idea to have mobs actively target cart animals. This was back when a 5 speed would run you an arm and a leg, so it wasn't a cheap gift. Not many people would do that. I also bought my first 1k of cotton from her, nice 75ql stuff, about a third of which I still have in crates and use regularily to heal myself, as my own farming is only now just pushing 63! I also recommended her and her group to everyone in my Alliance. Back then, they were 'Garden of Shadows' in Pristine. Now in Xanadu, and can be found here: I was so sad when they left Pristine, that I took the purple horse statues that used to stand at the gates of Garden of Shadows, and renamed them 'Garden' and 'Shadows' They are now on my deed right in front of my house. My current go-to kitten for replacing my skiller tools has been SmilingCat Enchants. Friendly (and damn quick) service with a smile and a purrrrr. Their current 'free mailing sale' has saved me MANY silver in replacing my lower level skiller tools to something a bit more respectable for a year and a half old toon. Many times that alone has gotten me to give them even more of my business, as it adds up extremely quickly when ordering multiple items. If you have merchants that you can personally recommend who have given you fantastic service above and beyond the call of duty, list them here! Also, if you have any in-general kind things that others have done for you, or times when others went out of their way to help you, and you wish to share them, please feel free to share it here as well. I always love reading such things.
