  1. Animals being cared for dies for no reasons, no diseases, not venerable, not starving. Reccurent issues happening for different players, on different animals.
  2. Cared for animals dying on server restarts has been a problem for a while, and I'm hoping we can get this fixed soon. If an animal is cared for, it's meant to be immortal in terms of age, which means as long as it's fat, not pregnant, not diseased, and on a deed with a good ratio, it should last forever, which is unfortunately not the case. I have a cared for tortoise that I happened to look at just after a server restart, and it was suddenly uncared for. I managed to care for it again before it died, but I wonder if this isn't perhaps the answer to why cared for animals sometimes die? Maybe cared for animals don't actually die, but they become uncared for for some reason after a server restart, and then die of old age? I'm not sure if the devs are aware of this, or if perhaps my one experience was a fluke, but I thought I'd make a post just in case the added information helps. Currently my deed is 3x the size it needs to be, as I have to have three of every animal I want in case of random dying, and I'd much prefer not to have to keep all the extras. Someone else also suggested that maybe the problem is that when the server is restarting and recreating everything, the animals are created first, and then the checks to see if they are cared for go off. It's possible that in the tiny amount of time that takes, an animal could die as well, though I imagine that fraction of time is pretty small, which explains why it doesn't happen all the time. Again, not sure if this helps, but I'd really like to get this issue fixed, so hopefully it will
  3. I know that caring for an animal makes it live a long time - years. But it doesn't live forever. Cared for animals die, even if it is years later. Could we remove this please? Personally I'd feel a lot better if I knew I wasn't going to log on one day and find one of my cared for animals dead. It's not so much of a problem for animals you can breed, as you can breed more of them before they become venerable, but for animals that you can't breed, it is a problem. Dogs and deer with conditions no longer spawn, and most of the people who have any of the remaining ones (myself included) have males, which you can't breed. I have a male slow dog which I dearly love, but I know that someday it'll die and I'll never be able to get another one, unless the caring for is changed so that it won't die as long as I care for it. There are also now the Christmas animals, all male and therefore unbreedable, which are also slated to die without hope of getting another unless this is changed. Another factor is that many people have horse names they particularly like, and care for a horse for that reason. When that horse dies, getting another one with the same name, colour and qualities is virtually impossible. For all intents and purposes, that horse is lost forever.
  4. I found your horse (Old fat Sweetcall) [14:56:08] It is being taken care of by Bhazrak. It is kept near Mouse Hole Memorial now, contact me to pick it up.
  5. For our cared for wild animals, can we have an item they can wear on face. Big red bow or a big spiked collar, so that people stop freaking out and trying to attack tame bears for example?
