  1. Hopefully one of our great community modders can answer this. What would be the best place to start to eventually make a mod for WU? I've a background in programming, though it has been a (not small) number of years. But, just treat me like a total noob here. What languages would I need to pick up, and where should one even start? Thank you very much for your time.

The server's dimensions include 12 PVE islands and a central PVP island. We have a great deal of mods, please visit our website to see the full list at link below. It works with WU, the only things with problems are Depth of Field and Ambient Occlusion because the way wurm works (objects outline on mouse over, if you turn it off, you can use DOF and AO but needs to be adjusted to not blur the interface), the rest works perfectly. ReShade site A presset i did with subtle changes, most color and some flare Most color correction, lens flare, bloom. everything easy to set up, turn on and off and adjust as you wish It is easy to create a profile from scratch, but you need to adjust everything turn off the native wurm bloom ("glow") to use ReShade Some example screens Color, Brightness, Contrast, Texture Shapness... Depth of Field Embos Lens effects, flare I do not know if this is the right place to post this....
  7. Hello everyone! We are aware that not everyone was happy about our recent design change. We were working on improving our kingdom design, but this time we don't want to unexpectedly upload it, we wanted to ask your opinion about it first. We made some major changes to the wagon and tent design but the banners and flag were also changed a little bit. Here's what we came up with: Current design for comparison: Please vote on the poll above if you would like us to change the design, or just leave it as it is. I also wanted to use this opportunity to inform you that there are some wagons and banners on the market which were stolen from us. And no, not stolen in a raid or a pvp battle - that would be fair game. They were made by a person from the enemy kingdom, abusing an alt account. I've met a lot of people that were happy they can support Wurm University in our battles on Chaos, so I think if you want to buy a wagon, you should at least know where your money is going. Because of that, I just want to inform everyone that all the wagons made by a character "Btgringo" or any character other than Aesir are not made by us. Also we don't sell anything on the freedom Trade chat. Hello! is there atm a mod outside that can alter the maximum amount of hunger/thirst you can have and how fast it goes down? else my idea was kinda to make the value for hunger 10x and for thirst maybe 5x and the hunger rate by 5-10x kinda + every action you do costs a little hunger/thirst ( maybe depending on how heavy the action is like mining/fighting) the idea behind this would be to make food more focusing because at the moment even if you have like a high lvl cooking the only reason is to get a good amount of time for the affinity food...with that settings good food could be finally eaten up and not just thrown away or packed into a storage once you eat like 0.10 kg because your allready full then would be nice if someone could also code it (also willing to pay something)
  10. As the title says I will be listing all the bugs I come across etc, here we go Sacrificing overrides any current action that a player is doing. (e.g. player is casting an enchant and presses sacrifice, sacrifice overrides the current action) Dragging items from BSB's/FSB's/Crates, etc. displays this message = [16:09:22] You selected 2147483647 and [16:09:22] You may not carry that weight. Not allowing a player to drag heavier objects (rock shards etc.) from such storage to inventory Mailing large amounts of items to a player in one go causes the player to DC/Crash (e.g. 60 satchels FULLY filled with garlic) Will add more when I see any.
  11. So basically this suggestion is to create a team dedicated to advertising wurm online through various platforms on the internet : e.g. youtube, FB and so on. Why? Because Wurm needs new players and a lot of us actually would love to see new blood in it. So how would this work? We'll form a team , let's say through discord and start outlining a basic plan to advertise and create ad content we could share on free to use sites. Someone could help by making or creating a compilation of youtube tutorials. Another could find or create stunning pvp encounters and battles. One could help by writing content for various interesting stories that happened/could happen in wurm or even create machinima videos using Wurm Unlimited or WO. Other people make artwork stories or comics about WO stories, servers, events, etc. The team will be community driven, with the sole purpose of generating visibility for Wurm Online. So what do you guys think?
  12. Dungeon - A PVP Challenge by Sklotopolis - Round #1 Sklotopolis is going to the next level and introduces a PVP Challenge based server. What's Challenge? Challenge is an old concept in Wurm which was a big success in the first rounds but has been discarded by the Wurm Online developers before Wurm Unlimited was released. We are now trying to take the concept and improve it further. On challenge we will have two kingdoms Horde of the Summoned and Jenn-Kellon fighting against each other on a PVP Map sized 2048x2048 tiles. Dungeon will be the ultimative PVP experience without anyone who has to fear a loss or a long time bad influence on a character. The Dungeon rounds will be limited to exactly one calendar month, which means that each round will start on the first of every month and end on the last of every month. Maybe this doesn't make too much sense for someone who hasn't played on a PVP server, but it fixes PVP in this game in various ways. PVP in Wurm has been broken for almost 6 years now and DEVs have been unable to fix it since then. We have also seen it on different Wurm Unlimited server that there is interest in PVP but the victory of the world is decided within one month and players quit playing on the server. The major problem of PVP is the late game experience which is more than just boring, but with challenge we will never experience a late game PVP experience. The server will run for one calendar month and provides a clean and fresh start for every player. The reset happens every second month and is an automated process which doesn't need any developer interaction. Of course this server will not be grindy at all because of the limited time, action timers will be 20 times faster and skill timers will be 10 times faster compared to the EPIC server of Wurm Online. The Dungeon also has the Epic curve enabled, which provides a huge advantage in skill gain and makes the game much more enjoyable. For example bringing digging to an effective skill of 90 should take no longer than one hour. We also hope that the limited time will make this world about playing, enjoying and having fun in the game instead of PVP drama as we have seen it on Wurm Online. In the first rounds we will collect a lot feedback about the map, all the mods and some other PVP related stuff. We will use almost all mods we also have on our PVE cluster, to make the game more like it was meant to be played in the first place. There will be no real rewards in the first few rounds, but a live score list will be available from beginning, so the competition is real and there will be winners for sure. The world will also have various ressource points deployed all around the map, which will spawn very fancy and valueable stuff. This is where the most PVP interaction will take place, but also a HOTA and some other mechanics to force people into PVP will be given. Dungeon will also be 100% seperated from our PVE cluster, you will only keep the coins on your bank account between the resets. As I have mentioned above this is a try to make PVP more attractive to all players, without ending up with a dead world. We are planning to run at least 6 rounds, depending on the interest we will put more or less development power into the world. If the interest is high enough we will improve the PVP experience in the game , create a pool of maps which will be chosen randomly each month and much more. First round will already start on the 1st March, 2018 around 8 PM UTC and will run until 31st of March, 2018, you need a new character to join and can enter the adventure via a portal on our login server. Round #2 will start on 1st May, 2018. There is always a month break between the rounds to improve the world and dig through the collected feedback. The break will also help to keep the concept interesting hopefully as it is not something which is there all the time. Furthermore I can already proudly present the map of our Dungeon server: This map is inspired by the map Orion created by the awesome map creator @ausimus, which is available for the public in the Wurm Unlimited forums. Who are we? Sklotopolis is one of the most successful and most stable Wurm Unlimited servers out there, we have been up and running since 1st November 2015 and we are still growing and working on this project. If the interest is high enough, there is a good custom client protection concept we have planned, which could go live in the future.
  13. What be nice is For Rolf to give Wurm Unlimited the Sound to mobs back in game. I for one would have them live in my server. If you don't want to hear a farm then don't make one hehe. But really Rolf how about adding back in the animal sounds you all took out to WU please. Anyone else agree to have this feature toggle in the feature management window?
  14. I'll start this by saying I have no idea what I'm doing. My computer skills are conversational, not fluent. So I'm trying to create an adventure server for my own use cos I feel like being a hermit for a while, but I can't get the server to load. I get the loading screen, then network error>connection timed out. I've looked at Moot's video guide and Keenan's getting started guide on Steam, and googled to find other fixes. While I have found other people with the same problem, all the solutions are completely incomprehensible to me! I'm very confused about what IP address goes where. Google tells me I have one starting with 146, my computer tells me I have one starting with 192. Currently my 192 address is in the 'server external IP address' box, and another starting with 127 is in the 'server internal IP address' box. I have been able to add an exception to my firewall (AVG) and already had one set up for Steam. I've been trying different addresses in different boxes (even, tried the dedicated server (which crashed), connecting by IP (same connection error). I'm extremely confused and in need of gin laced tea! Can anyone help?
  15. I made sure to delete java 32 bit, and manually updated java 64. My client still constantly freezes up. This is what I get when I try to close it out.   16. While Wurm Online may need the breeding changes to make miscarriages and pregnant animals die more often, WU shouldn't have that limitation. My wife and I play on a server with one other person and we have animals die or miscarriage way too often to be logical. Please take this unnecessary code out for WU, or at least make it a checkbox for server admins to select if they like.

Stardew Valley sells on steam for $15 Wurm Unlimited sells on steam for $30 (change of mind) bought 2 Wurm Unlimited sells on steam for $30 trade pending tentatively may buy another game (7DTD) that sells for $25 they are for different steam accounts, one game for one account the other for another steam account. Also you must buy US compatible versions, meaning if you live in china for example the version you buy wont transfer because of the price difference. Or so ive heard anyway. willing to pay 100 silvers for both (equivalent to 100 silvers for $60)

  21. Was wondering if there's a way to transfer a deed to a alt? since you can only have 1 char on at a time. would like to free up my main char to go do something else
  22. This mod for Ago's server Modloader lets you move altars (excludes huge altars) with the "Move" menu options. It also lets you load or unload them. The normal rules for loading apply. Options: Note; 1. Stone altars are always pushable. I tried to find out why with no success. 2. Influence is wonky. They only spread influence when on the ground and it appears this only updates on a server restart. There is nothing stopping someone from unloading altars in another's god's domain. source:

The uniques are coming, not sure how feasable it is to adjust # of tame creatures to taming level but still, could be a fun approach to try if at very least the "1 tame creature at a time" limit were either lifted or made adjustable by server admins. Thanks in advance to anyone who tackles this challenge.
  24. Starting this evening we are running our login server which will eventually act as the gateway to our cluster. Amber Coast Size: 16sq. km, 1024*1024 or the size of the old Golden valley for those that remember. Playstyle: PvE. It will remain so as a homeserver. Other: Deeds are disabled apart from the starter town, as are priests (no holy altars). Until our own religion overhaul is complete, there will be no way to advance religion. Artifacts have also been removed. Skillgain is set to 6x, action speeds to 4x with many skills individually tweaked to be easier/more balanced. Tree growth is slightly accelerated and crops should be completing their full cycle in 48hrs. Skill restrictions for riding mounts/sailing ships have been removed. The logout timer for beds has been reduced to 6s. The server is running 12, 000 animals with a lowered aggro count (subject to change). Teamspeak: We will be making adjustments as time progresses to bring about the most enjoyable experience, however we will not be wiping characters or progression. The WUFU Project An extensive modification of the base game, WUFU's primary goals include an overhaul of religion, sorcery, meditation paths; rebalancing combat; altering travel speeds for sailing; model and texture improvements; and a review of how PvP mechanics come into play. There is also a long, long list of other modifications we hope to introduce. The main map for the cluster will be Tormaer, a 4096-sized PvP server, featuring PMK's and everything else you might expect. More details of these will be forthcoming with our new website.
