Hey everyone, I'm since the news about Niarja shutting down, and with that I want to say thanks to Chakron for his many years he developed Niarja. I am in the process of re-creating Niarja with all new code and making it open source. Due to me currently IRL getting a PhD in Computer Science, I may not have time to deal with bugs asap, or feature requests, so this is why I'm making it open source. So if you are a UI/UX person or a whiz at Java, it's open to anyone to make changes and put in PR's. I made a little software tool that I'd like to share with you. It is called "WurmSkills" and can be used to create nice diagrams from your skill dumps. Here is a short description, taken from the help file: This is an example: The program will make use of your skill dumps, so it is necessary that you have skill dumping enabled. While you are able to create a single skill dump using a console command, the best way of enabling regular skill dumps is: - Start Wurm client - Click "Settings" - Change to the "Text" tab - Find the line saying "Dump skills at exit" - Tick the check box. You will then get a skill dump every time you exit the client. (To obtain useful charts you should have dump files for a larger period of time - at least a couple of weeks.) WurmSkills has been successfully tested with Windows Vista and Windows 7, but will probably also run with Windows XP. (You need .NET Framework 4.5) To install and use the program, just download this zip file: https://dl.dropbox.com/s/0k5137m2k1hfiu6/WurmSkills102.ZIP Unzip the contents (WurmSkills.exe and WurmSkills.chm) to any folder you like and run the executable. (I found that some antivirus products may classify the program as "suspicious" - I have no idea why! Ask Microsoft... Be assured that this is not malware!) The status display is refreshed every minute. You may also force a refresh by clicking on the "Refresh" button. The little "light" symbol in front of the server name shows whether the server is online and the status has recently been updated by Code Club AB (green light) or offline/not updated (red light). The data in each line is taken from the official status URLs. The status column is green if the server status says "Online", yellow if the server is currently shutting down and red if the server is down. If the status is yellow you may hover your mouse pointer over the server name to see the time left until shutdown. I threw together a little winform app that allows you to transfer your character skills, religion, affinities, titles, and achievements from one database to another. Export: Select DB will open a dialog box for you to select the wurmplayers.db file to act as the source database Once selected, the dropdown box will populate with the players from that server, select the one you want to backup Export button will go through the relevant tables in the selected database, creating a txt file with insert statements, for example: Import: Select DB will open a dialog box for you to select the wurmplayers.db file to act as the destination database Select Character File will open a dialog box for you to select the [charactername].txt file that was created during the export Import will Insert/Update the character in the destination database with the values from the txt file. The character needs to already exist in the destination database, so create it there before attempting to import. Import Skill Dump: Pretty straightforward, choose the database, rename the skill dump file to name.txt (e.g. vardoj.txt) and then click Import. The character needs to already exist in the destination database, so create it there before attempting to import. It will bring over all skills, and your faith/favor/alignment. Select a god from the dropdown if this character is a priest. NOTE: MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR WURMPLAYERS.DB BEFORE YOU GO HOG WILD! I knocked this together in a couple of hours and briefly tested it against a couple of my database, so it has a "works on my machine" level of QA. This does not bring over inventory, yet. If I find some spare time I might look into inventory. Links: Latest Release (1.1.2) - make sure you download the exe, SQLite.Interop.dll, and nlog.config and put them all in a folder together. Current version: v0.9-beta.5 (2015-11-16) GitHub repository Download User guide Example maps (possible spoilers!) Generated maps are standalone (only HTML, CSS, JS and images), not connected to WU in any way anymore. Maps can be viewed locally (using any modern web browser) or uploaded to a web server (no PHP or Java needed). Generator is written in Java, so far working only on Windows (Linux fix coming soon). Hello everyone! Recently we had the need to query our database for inactive players and the corresponding deeds. To make this task easily accessible without the need of database knowledge, I wrote this small handy mod to help with that. You can configure the minimum days of inactivity in the properties file. You can also disable the mod in the properties file by setting the "active" property to false instead of the default true. What this mod does is essentially a lookup in the database for which players are inactive for the minimum amount of days configured and then dumping the information into a formatted textfile in the server root folder. If the mod is set to inactive, it will clean up after itself and delete the textfile from the server root folder if it exists. It will never, at any point, write anything to the database. It just performs a safe lookup through the wurmplayers.db and wurmzones.db The collected informations are: Name of the player Total days played (if 0 the player has just played less than 24 hours) Total days inactive Name of the deed the player is the mayor of Download from Github: https://github.com/Jhary/InactivePlayerMod/releases Usage: Download the mod Unzip the contents of the zip file into your server mods folder Make sure its active in the properties file and set the inactiveDays property to a value of your liking Run the server .... Profit (you will find the output file in the server root folder) The mod does collect the data on serverstart. Please report any bugs you may encounter. Your database will not be harmed by this. I am investigating the issue currently.
