  1. After 5 years playing Wurm Im bored of default textures, so I decided to make my own. I know that there is many people that playing 640x400 resolution and lowest graphic settings because they are running 4 instances of the game at one time, and they won’t like it, but these textures are for people that want to start the adventure once again, or maybe new players, guys like me who prefer building that grinding, and don’t like default rock texture. Im not adding ‘’modern’’ textures or anything like that, because i want to save climate of Wurm, the rough, dirty world where you can make huge, beautifull things. Screenshots: https://imgur.com/a/lXXS7Zb https://imgur.com/a/yyIoO7G https://imgur.com/a/3iH93LE https://imgur.com/a/d35ioOA https://imgur.com/a/x8lWPDO It's still work in progress and I will upload it asap, let me know what you think ?
  2. I'm assuming this isn't possible since it doesn't seem to be an option in the graphics settings, but here goes anyway! Is it possible to change the texture filtering to "nearest", removing the blurry filtering and making everything pixelated? I want the game to look the way it "should" (imo), without any unnecessary blurring that just makes everything look muddy... And yes, i'm fully aware that most games aren't meant to have texture filtering disabled and might make the game look a bit wonky in some areas. I'm not new to this, but i am new to this game!
  3. Wagoner figures are missing (not in bed and not on the chair). Both male and female figures are missing. FIXED Wagoner vehicle currently has a freedom wagon fabric texture covering - assuming this is a bug as it also obscures the view. FIXED Camp fire is not currently lit (daytime) FIXED
  4. I would like to see to be able to make dirt paths on grass. It would be super nice for scenery and looks. It could look like these:
  5. Hi guys, I've only been playing this game for a little over a year, but I'm hook, line and sinker, and proudly represent Sunnybrook Farm on Independence! The creativity opportunities in this game are so amazing...I totally love that I can have as much or as little as I want and do with it what I want! While we're introducing all of these amazing new textures, I'd like to request new curb options. I'm a huge landscaping person, and one day soon you guys can come take a look at Lavender Lane A rock or giant chain curb just doesn't cut it with a massive beautiful marble castle (future addition). How about making some marble, sandstone, slate, etc low curbs that finish out a garden, or line a walkway. And, speaking of marble...maybe you could offer marble walls that have gold edgings instead of wood (planning for that future mansion, lol)....that would be incredible! Thanks in advance! Sincerely, Janesko Sunnybrook Farm, Independence
  6. Hello all! As some of you may have noticed, there seems to be a slight.... lack of good resources on doing custom textures for Wurm aside from rather simple things like tabards, wagon covers and banners. I recently joined a fantastic server (but we aren't here to talk about that! Although if you want to know what I'm talking about, just check out the server "Requiem of Wurm") and was prompted by one of the head GM's to work on a texture for a creature after hearing I'd had experience doing custom texturing on my own... and I thought, "Sure! Shouldn't be too hard!" Little did I know that to properly and effectively make custom textures for WU, you'd need a small slew of tools to help along the way. For one, 7Zip to open RAR and zipped folders easily, but also an art program that can handle .psd files is extremely helpful and a 3D Model viewer so you don't have to pop the texture INTO your game and hunt down that one thing you changed, such as a bison or a custom mob that might be in your main server but not in your standalone testing server. After installing these, I thought I was all set to go! But no... its a bit more difficult than that. For one, when you open up a texture for a mob to edit it, you're greeted with something like this: Which, if you haven't done much texturing for 3D models other than something voxel based like Minecraft.... can be a bit overwhelming and confusing. Some parts are immediately obvious while others..... not so much. What part textures which piece of the model? Where are the "boundaries" of each piece? So, like anyone aspiring to learn anything on the internet.... I googled it. And I found.... nothing. Yep, nothing. Not a single template or guide or reference. Even on the forums here, I couldn't seem to find much aside from Code Club AB's announcement that people could do custom textures for tabards and kingdom banners and the like. So, I personally have set out on a quest of sorts to make templates to help other custom texture-er's figure out exactly what on Fo's green earth we're all looking at, but also to create a sort of "hub" for those who have the actual experience to help out us more troubled beginners. Welcome to Ciaru's Custom Texturing Templates! As an example for the rest of you viewing this, and as a starter for my own reference as well as my fellow Requiem server players, this is an example of which parts of the bison texture go to what part of the model. This is the template itself..... (Which has now been updated with more specific location info!) And these are what it looks like ON the 3D model. As you can see, my basic idea was this: color each different part a different color, and apply it to a model to see where each bit went, thus vastly simplifying and answering the question of what part goes where on the 3D model itself. Feel free to post your own color coded "templates" and provide links for those who may want to use them (I will credit you if you did it yourself!). As new things are posted, or as I template more models, I will update this post as quickly as I can.
  7. The marble planter has lost its texture. The spike barrier loses its texture from a distance but gets it back as you get closer. This one may be due to LOD distance I have set? So it might need a further distance to reproduce.
  8. Marble white -- flowers work, planter is no known image Marble purple -- planter is black, flowers are X
  9. Alright so I started working on a Sphax PureBDcraft patch for Wurm Unlimited, cause it's by far my favorite texture pack for Minecraft, and I've been dying to see how it'd look in the Wurm universe So everything was going well for figuring out how to edit the textures and what-not, then decided to give the textures a test run before I got too far along and invested with em all, everything tile, and pumpkins seemed to be working beautifully, even better than I'd imagined it would turn out, but, the sprites for the grass for whatever reason were rendering the "background" (invisible part of the texture that isn't being used as part of the grass texture) was black, instead of being the see-through invisible that it should be. I'm just curious if anyone would know what would cause such a thing to happen =/ Including a screenshot of it for reference, though not sure how much it will help.
  10. Since I've been playing wurm initially, the ground infront of me has always looked like this (http://imgur.com/a/YRmp8 ), the entire time I walk the two tiles infront of me look like the intended texture and then everything else is a buggy mess. After messing around with all of the graphics options I figured that it was just normal and everyone had to deal with it. Then I watched a few youtube videos on wurm while playing, and realized that it's not intentional. I went back into my settings, and remembered that I'd turned off GLSL shading because it made my character model bug out (http://imgur.com/a/Q6WzX ). When I turned GLSL shading back on, however, the ground infront of me problem was fixed (http://imgur.com/a/yxRVO) but now my character was a buggy mess. Is this something that can be fixed or just a problem that I'll have to endure without GLSL shading? PS. Sorry if this was in the wrong place, but I figure this has to do with the texturing of a model so I put it here.
  11. Whenever I try to load a new texture mod or edit existing wurm textures I get these sorta pixelated tiles in the distance. At close range the texture is normal, but from far away it looks completely different. Does anyone know what might be causing this? thanks
  12. Hello, Now, i know this topic has come appeared and there has been several answers to the problem. But after 2 days of googling and trying almost everything, I've yet to find something that works. Basically, The ground tiles all move when I move. The tile that my character stands on looks fine, but the others appear to move and look weird.(I don't own these images, i didn't take them either) http://i.imgur.com/Nd4r7Vd.jpg http://s21.postimg.org/yt3oipa6v/wurm_20130719_1723_3.jpg I have tried(In no particular order): Restarting the game, several times Restarting my Computer, several times Updating my graphics driver Updating my Java Reinstalling Wurm Unlimited Turning all my settings to the lowest settings Turning off FBO, GLSL, and VBO I read about pbuffer, but that doesn't show up on my options, or i can't find it. None of these have worked. Here is my setup: Windows 7 Professional Intel i7 32GB RAM Using the Integrated Graphics (Intel HD Graphics 4600) More than enough storage (1.5 TB) Thanks in Advance!
  13. Just that currently their are 3 types of buildings the resources are in place why not example. Colored Brick file iron lump to make iron powder mix with Acid to make Red or Brown Iron Powder mix this with Mortar/ Clay and Sand to get Red or Brown bricks for red or brown brick buildings Asphalt Shingles = Wood makes Paper + Tar + Sand gives you Asphalt Shingles make the wood floor the color of the wood you are using ? Wood siding = planks and small nails Interior wall improve drywall rock dust or being specific gypsum either way mix with water. Paint wal improve interior or exterior wall Paint. Many ways to make paint common animal fat or olive oil = oil mix with pigments reds to blacks can be made with iron powder and acid rest berries and flowers. So Many things can be done to improve things and allow people to create gets rather old rather fast with limitations people like options. First come up with a standard mode loader and build it into the system 2 info out their how to make modes and 3 put mods in steam workshop to download. no one can find them here and then to download what modloader come on. great base so lets build !
  14. I have, for the last few months now, been experiencing this graphic issue (see imgur link below). Textures (generally tiles like grass, farm, slabs etc.) seem to randomly change as I move around. This issue becomes particularily more noticeable when I attempt to login a second client like my priest. I have disabled GLSL Shader, FBO and VBO, I have tried combinations of all three, I have disabled and re-enabled tile transitions, I have uninstalled and freshly reinstalled wurm with all new settings. I am pulling my hair out here.. On top of that there is a second graphic issue, with objects/people where they seem to stretch infinitely (also posting picture). I have an AMD A10 processor, Radeon HD 7660 graphics card. I can run most games at medium to high settings (WoW I can push ultra with certain things lowered like shadows/lighting) Please help Tile graphic issue here. Object/Person graphic issue here. Edit: Adding other screenies with issues: Extra 1 Extra 2
  15. Hello, have any of you tested PMK? what must be done to add flags banners...?
  16. I have been through the help that is available and I can't resolve my issue and wondering if anyone has further information that might help. Screenshots from Catalyst Control Center with Software and Hardware versions... What is happening is I get "ghosts" of concrete, cobble, moss, and some other textures appearing on all kinds of terrain surfaces, usually filling half the tile. I have gone through the threads I could find and have not been able to resolve it with known methods. Does anyone have an idea? I will update with a screenshot when I can. I am sailing and it's not happening in the water (or I can't see it due to reflections).
  17. Blood model

So apparently blood has an awesome model. Yet there are soooo many other things which need good looking models....
  18. I'll attach some pictures. The tile bug is when the textures of another thing are on top of what should be there, like sand that should be cobble. Oftentimes it isn't even lined up on the grid - you'll see. The tile bug is very frequent and has been going on a while. Think I had it on my old laptop too so don't think it's a computer thing. The other bug happens rarely but a random thing [i've seen it happen to horses, people, tower guards, a stone wall] will suddenly have a huge pointy texture that goes up into the sky. I posted one happening to a person some months ago I think, I'll see if I can dig up a link. If you need a log, remind me how to get it and I'll paste it in. Pictures: Tile effects: [all taken close together on a wander, today.] http://imgur.com/yKjeeHT http://imgur.com/834t4tq http://imgur.com/P372LBv http://imgur.com/jE1pvcq Other bug: A tower guard texture run amok: [i know it is cause I got close enough to find the source] http://imgur.com/HMSwbsa Edit: More pictures of the pointy glitch [old ones of the player character going glitched:] http://imgur.com/xkWjarb http://imgur.com/cpEl4Sx http://imgur.com/ldfNVSH http://imgur.com/XVn9sWA
  19. The game keeps not responding for no reason at random intervals. I've turned off GLSL shaders, and the textures still are screwed up. I have Nvidia, and can't really give a log because it's just no responding.
  20. Hey, so whenever I load up Wurm everything looks fine at first, but once i start walking and things load in the distance, half of them load as just black blobs. So trees will often have the outline but its all just black, along with wells and pretty much anything besides the ground tiles. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks
  21. Edit: Solved, thanks to Kaih: So, everything worked fine until the update. Then this happened: As you can see, models and textures seem to render just fine.. Its just that the textures are in the wrong places.. But the fun doesn't stop there.. The textures seem to change depending on your distance, height, and such.. I can post logs if needed, just wondering if this is a known issue or maybe if someone knows of a hotfix.. I've tried reinstalling Java, tried verifying and manually re-downloading packs, tried reinstalling fresh copy of Wurm, and my graphics card drivers are up to date already.. Running on 64-bit Java on Windows 7 btw. Thank you for your time
  22. Hello I am new in game and I need some help. The problem is textures. Can you help me? Here's the link of my problem: http://p1304.hizlire.../18/y/mmcfw.png I clicked verify all packs in launcher (If my English is bad sorry about that.) I changed my GUI skin in settings. I don't need help anymore. Thanks.
  23. Armed with an idea from Garis and the power of google, I have went through the motions of creating a mod for Minecraft that allows for three dimensional deed and/or building planning for Wurm! So, without further ado, the Northmere Alliance of Celebration presents to you: The Wurm Blocks mod is essentially a tool to help you visualize your deed or building plans in a way that isn't possible using 2d programs. While those 2d programs are still great for layout, it's nice to see what your deed and buildings will (generally) look like once finished. Here are some teasers to show what it is you can do with Wurm Blocks in Minecraft. Installation Instructions In order to run Wurm Blocks you will require Minecraft Forge Universal version 6.6.0 and Minecraft version 1.4.7 ... I make no promises about the mod working beyond those versions. I recommend a fresh installation of Minecraft and Minecraft Forge. Windows Installation Step 1 Download and Install Minecraft Forge Universal from www.minecraftforge.net (click the link under 'Install' for a direct link to the installation instructions on their wiki), then run Minecraft in order to see if Minecraft Forge is working properly. Step 2 Download Wurm Blocks (Direct mediafire link here or dropbox link, courtesy of Xallo, here ) Step 3 Place wurmblocks.zip in your AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\mods folder. If you are unsure how to find your AppData folder, enter %appdata% into your Windows search function. Step 4 Run Minecraft. Wurm Blocks should be present in the Mods section. Load up your favorite Creative world and enjoy! Using Wurm Blocks In Creative Mode, Wurm Blocks are organized in their own tab on page 2 of the Creative Mode Inventory. Most Wurm Blocks function just like their vanilla counterparts. However, there are some exceptions: Half blocks will not make a full block if stacked; these are just meant to represent roofing. There are also steps with wurm roofing patterns applied in case you prefer to use those. Wurm-style fences are a different creature altogether. They are based off of Minecraft Vines only they won't disappear if the block they're attached to is removed. It isn't a perfect system (for instance, inside corners still can't have more than 1 fence), but by placing blocks, adding fences, and removing the blocks, you can build a model of your deed complete with fencing. There is a transparent block included for placing your fences on if you don't want to be bothered with breaking the block you attach your fences to, whatever your preference. Wurm Blocks are not craftable, so should primarily be used in Creative mode. If you choose to load them with op commands, their ID numbers begin at 503. If you have any ideas on how to improve Wurm Blocks, do let me know!
  24. EDIT : I posted this before logging in, so I didnt know there was a patch last night, I'll confirm whether the issue is still present. 2nd EDIT : at first glance it appeared fixed, so i went for a bit of a walk, when i got back the oil tub, ovens, and a few other items were all white (no textures), relogging fixed this, so it seems intermittent, hard to replicate and not permanent. I can also confirm that taking a screenshot of any of these items crashes the game. 3rd EDIT : Added crash report, console log and system info - if there's anything else that i can add that might help, let me know I'm having a lot of issues with my textures. It's not as if they are completely missing, but sometimes the client can't load them. Examples : Butchering - when i butcher a corpse (most animals), and it changes to the butchered model, my texture goes missing (leaving the model either completely white or completely black) Using the slyglass - http://forum.wurmonl...ith-screenshot/ Random Crops - Some crops appear as white planes swaying in the wind. Relogging will fix it some of the time, however I have done this, and then traveled a short distance to find another broken object. This started after the recent patch, I was using the unstable client with the regular packs, so i tried upgrading to the experimental packs and nothing changed. I would post screenshots but that's not working for me either. Here's the error i get when the game crashes trying to screenshot : Unexpected crash while playing The error was: It's possible you might figure out what's wrong from the log file below, but if you can't, post the full log on the wurm online forums, and someone else might be able to help you.
