Magranons Scar - Highway Project website updated on 24/10/2016 and here the link to the new website: http://magranonsscar.weebly.com/ Mags Scar monthly mining event! next one is 31st December and 1st of January 2017 Starting at 5th of November 2016, we will hold a monthly scar mining event, to help with coordination for people who want to help out and those who couldn't reach me or couldn't figure out a good time to meet. it will be every first weekend of a month and I will try to be on as much as possible (I'm from gmt+3, but there might be other workers around from other timezones who know what to do). Whoever joins us can get free shovel and pickaxe imps from Raybarg and we can provide tools if necessary aswell. Every worker who joins, can take mined shards with them, for free , aswell as keep any tools that you might have gotten from us.   4. I have Googled and looked at the wiki, and all I have seen Sunder used for was to damage tools to re-imp them, or to damage wine or water. The wiki says what it cannot be used for, but I would rather have a better description as to it's real application and use. Thanks.
  5. Hello fellow wurmians, I have a question about favor gaining from locks when youre a priest of magranon (Hail Magranon!). Ive tried searching a post about this i cant seem to find it. Can someone help me how do i calculate the amount of favor i gain from for example a 60ql lock whats the formula used for this. Thanks in advance! ~Daskampfer
  6. I am back early from my RL thing and was able to get the newest god just before i left.... If anyone needs a convert to any god available to freedom or to become priest then you need only come to Release. If you have a ship you can literally sail to my front door otherwise you can drop a tent on a shore and take the red tunnel to Slopping Sands and then back to your tent (feel free to leave your body on my doorstep, i will dispose of it...don't ask). I will dedicate a priest to any new god that arises. The priests will be at Castle von Cleric (center of Release) or Castle von Gunem (southwest edge of Release) PM in advance and will tell you where to go or ask in this thread Basic to become follower http://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Follower (Note Pandalet's method below for getting the Body skill required for all priests) Tosiek/Nathan - Need negative alignment (if you are converting a WL priest ot otherwise have high alignment, e.g. 100, it is better to go to the Black Light to convert) Fo - need positive alignment Priest recommendations * i will ask you twice if you meet these requirements and advise that you do.   7. It is time that the old gods received a long overdue enhancement some buff and some distinction. There should be some distinctive reason to want to keep the old gods and I am not in favor of nerfing the new gods and that train left the station when CC left saccing corn in as totally fine. But i believe the old gods should have something that makes them different. To look at it another way the old gods are losing their followers to the lesser upstarts. The standard "god" lore is that gods need followers or they begin to weaken and now they have direct competition they need to change their divine marketing strategy. Some suggestions are below and please add others. Reduced spell cost for priests of old gods in their domain. For example, Vyn woa 40 favor, but only priests of 100 faith. Reduced time cost for priests of old gods in their domain. For example, make Mag strong wall 60 seconds, again only priests of 100 faith Increase chance or strength of old god passives (just a little), i.e. skill gain, keeping items Add some new, useful spells to the old gods...a couple for PvE, a couple PvP, a couple for both Add a mechanic for "dedicating" something to old gods, such as a deed or epic structure and provided a significant bonus to that god in that area (and significant penalty to other gods, and even more significant penalty to lesser gods), for example, dedicate a deed to Vyn and Vynspells all have a higher chance and power (helps long time Vyn priests, but does not make them OP), perhaps 10% greater success or automatic 5% increase in power to any casts. Or maybe no shatter at a Vyn dedicated shrine say during a certain lunar event. Remove the characteristic nerfs for the old gods (leave it for the lesser god's priests) Increase the sac value for the old god's favored sac
  8. Why do the gods have very little Depth? (and don't tell me there is tons of lore, I mean actual things that can be done that involve the Gods) Why are the divine quests distributed by HUD and not from priests, or champions? Why is it when you go to confession, the task that is asked to perform does nothing? (or does it?) Why can anyone use any enchanted item of any faith and even mixed faith enchantments? Why is bless such a seemingly useless spell? (shouldn't this be a primer to enchanting or other activities? maybe a minor luck buff?) Why are the divine quests in line with their theology? (Fo wants to feed the hungry or plant more trees, Vynora seeks to expand knowledge, etc.) Why is there no conflict for territory of the Gods? Why is there no push for more followers? Why can't priests actually build a temple around their altar for greater benefits? Why can anyone do any quest for the Gods? These are some of the questions I have; I think answers or new content to answer them would vastly improve the game. If I've missed anything please let me know and I'll add it to the list.
  9. I feel it would be nice to have an option to make the current god colossus statues on a small scale, about the size of the nymph statue so they can fit on 1 floor of a building. Many people like to make churches and most community markets have an alter square with all 3 main gods, I think it would be quite welcome to simply have scaled down models to put behind each alter or to decorate a specific god themed church. I have very little idea if it's easy or not to scale down existing models or if Rolf + team would prefer to make new models with perhaps different poses for such an idea, but decided I would throw the idea out here and see if it sticks. P.S Also the ability to cut down off deed hedges with a hatchet would be nice

  20. It's a rather widespread opinion that priests are kinda crap as mains for non-pvp purposes. So lets change that. I've been working on a list of some non-combat pve changes for priests. The main concept is to not remove restrictions and rather enhance what they can do while being lore friendly about it. The faith level required to activate the perks isn't a big concern atm. note: the focus is not on pvp, but rather everyday life. So without further ado, here is some new stuff im suggesting: Fo = Double quantity from foraging/botanizing. Receives 1 additional product from forestry/gardening/farming. The quality diffrense from 100ql for gathered nature items is 25% less. Can care for 50% more animals. Mag = Twice as many gems while mining. 1ql higher ore from mining. Uses 15% less stamina while mining. Prospecting works in a 11x11 field instead of 7x7. Spark of Magranon (spell - 5 favor) - Lits forges/lamps/ovens etc. (if there is fuel) Vynora = Double Swim speed while not hurting (same stamina drain per meter). The quality diffrense from 100ql for fish gained while fishing is 50% less. 5 times higher chance to catch rare fish. (this does not include supreme nor fantastic) All crafted items receives 5 additional quality (this bonus can only boost up to 95ql). Paving timers are reduced by 50%. Can write twice as much on a papyrus. Libila = Can devour corpses. 30 second timer and causes the "butchered" status without loot (does not destroy pre-excisting loot). It's counted as a 0.2kg 20ql meal and heals 5hp 4 times on random wounds and gives 10 seconds of sleep bonus. Black mushrooms nutritional value is counted as a 100ql meal and gives 2 minutes of sleep bonus. All other mushrooms give 5 seconds of sleep bonus. 2 seconds of sleep bonus for killing any npc. 10 bonus quality on non-unique butchered items (this bonus can only boost up to 95ql). 10% stamina reduction on all non-combat related actions at night. All priests = +15ql to all beverages starting quality (doesn't stack with vynoras bonus) So what do people think?

Birth of the Drinker of Wind (Wurm Online fanfic) Inspired by Bedouin myths And so after the people of the kingdom of Fire had found favor in the eyes of Magranon, did the god appear in the southern desert. From long repose did he consider the Mol-Rehans as they spread from the western mountains into the surrounding steppe and deserts. Overtime a sand tornado errantly whirled into his face with great force, and with annoyance did Magranon brush it away. Again did the sand devil come, and again did the god flick it away. Thrice did it return, and Magranon finally seized it. In the fires of his wrath did the flame of an idea take form. Thus did the god Magranon begin to work. The tornado gathered itself into the form of a prancing creature, its mane and tail flowing with marvelous speed into the dry desert winds. Into it did the god impart great strength and stamina. However the god became weary and left his unfinished work for rest. Then did appear the goddess Vynora and the god Fo. Upon spying Magranon’s work did they consider it. Vynora finding it beautiful poured forth intelligence. Fo found nothing to give. They departed, seeking their brother deity. Drawn by the Three’s presence so close to her dominion did the dark goddess Libila appear. Finding instead Magranon’s abandoned work, she added a fragment of her own malevolence before vanishing. Soon the Three returned discussing and debating among themselves. It was Magranon who first sensed the taint, and sought to destroy his creation utterly. However, Fo interceded and imparted unto the work some of his own gentleness, hoping such would help counter. Thus did Magranon name the creature the Drinker of Wind and set it forth unto the kingdom of Fire. The people of Mol Rehan beheld the creature in awe. It somewhat resembled the unicorns; though, it showed far greater speed and endurance. Chasing led to not but only exhausted and beaten pursuers. Attempts to capture came to not but destroyed fences and nets. Some in their frustration sought to harm. Such came to not. Arrows easily avoided with a snort. Blade and hammer did not even come close. Even methods of hunting unicorns did not succeed. True the creature could be lured by innocent maidens. Such came to not with an almost malicious glee as it turned every trap. With great disappointment and dejection were the attempts finally called off. However, over time similar creatures began to be born by the unicorns. They were far easier to handle; though, their sire was plain to see. These offspring came to be called “Equus†in the tongue of the Ageless, or “Horseâ€. Long has sightings of the Drinker of Wind been; though, one can still hear the thunder of its hooves echoing across the Horseshoe Mountains. Only among the horses of Fire and Sand does its blood still flow strong.

  23. It seems as though Magranon priests are becoming vastly unpopular with the addition of Nahjo. So, to keep Magranon from becoming obsolete, I suggest the following new spell be introduced: Sands of Time: increases action timer Stackable with CoC Not stackable with WoA. Basically a spell that is opposite to WoA. So, you would have high ql coc/woa tools and low ql coc/sot tools 😉 What do you guys think?
  24. Assuming the number of player gods ever does become an issue... personally its not there yet, if it ever will be. I'm sure gamers will leave some gods pretty much forgotten, depending on the benefits. Anyways... there could be a hard-coded mechanic for this with soft dynamic limits. If a god's follower/priest collective faith count drops below a certain limit (with a grace period after godhood), then that god no longer can manifest themselves on Valrei and/or have an impact on the player world. Perhaps even varying levels of the god being energetic and able to manifest. Players may need to perform certain rituals to re-awaken them: orgies and certain sacrifices included. Yup, stealing liberally from ye 'old fantasy literature. EDIT: Might even forget the grace period, and require followers to let the new god get up and mobile.
