  1. Not sure whether to put this under Mac or Linux. I've just installed Fedora 39 onto an old 2011 MacBook Pro 17. Starting Wurm Online, it lets me log in, and then shows the full screen loading window before crashing with an error relating to Mesa: Mesa 23.3.6 implementation error: Parameter storage reallocation disallowed. This is a Mesa bug. Increase the reservation size in the code (wanted bytes 61, have 228 || wanted values 592 have 588). Please report at https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/issues Has anyone encountered this and have a workaround? Thanks.   2. Hello You have freshly installed linux mint with the Cinamon desktop environment. I downloaded the client. After downloading the necessary files, the client started as if it were behind the monitor. I can only see a white stripe about one pixel wide on the left side of the monitor. I can maximize and minimize the client but it keeps opening either behind the monitor or the window is one pixel wide. I tried stretching the client by clicking on this thin window, it did nothing.
  3. Hello. I ran Wurm Unlimited Server on a Debian 12 VPS with this tutorial Wurm Unlimited | LinuxGSM_ I installed everything and the server is working normally. But they did something and moved the server configuration file somewhere. I can't find this server configuration file anywhere in the WurmServer folders. And the second problem is that none of the mods after being uploaded and updated by Mod Loader also don't work on the server. is anyone able to help me?
  4. Okay, love my own server so far, something I asked for years ago, but I want to be on Linux. You and Unity3D are keeping me on Windows. Please work on the Linux build, please, if you aren't already. I am sure the Mac people would like thier version as well. Cheers.
  5. Hi, so Im not too sure where to ask this but I just got a steam deck and there are only 2 Ways to download game via the Deck. Through Steam + Linux. Now downloading through steam would obviously work but it wont let me access my character from the non-steam version because all the accounts are linked to steam. When i tried to download Wurm using Linux version it saves a wurmlauncher.tar.gz file. When extracted it gives a wurm launcher but doesnt allow for me to run it. Does anyone know a work around or a way to get the Non-steam Version of Wurm to work on the Steam Deck.
  6. I'm using the Linux client, running Ubuntu 22.04, and my chat and any menu search bars or text entry bars (e.g. storage transfer amount) fills with "w" after I've been moving forward in game. The text box or chat continues to fill with w, for many minutes after I've stopped moving, making chat or most menu text entry completely impossible. Deleting the "wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww" just results in more w's filling the text entry. My keyboard key is not sticking, and this does not happen when using any other program on my machine.

A Linux script which takes all your skill tick files and prints them out into an image format (see example below) Note the 2nd, does NOT determine actual skill ticks for a skill level. This is purely for educational purposes and just a neat graphing application for your own player. Skill is based on timers and a number of other variables. Again: Your number of ticks vs skill will vary from player to player. Also more to come in the future as I seem the need to make them or have suggestions to do so.

  9. I'M HAVING A BLAST SO FAR! Feels like if I have found "my Ultimate Game". So much that i want to dedicate a partition to it so as to have the best performance as possible. So i'm looking for the best OS for it! So fai i'm considering Linux over Windows. (Specs: I7 4700MQ, nVidia 740M, HDD 5400RPM) OBJECTIVES: Wurm Online-Centered OS. Maximum OpenGL performance. As Lightweight as possible, with few tools like a light browser (Chromium? Midori?), minimalistic DE. TARGETS: Currently Lubuntu.Had some previous experience with it and liked it personally. I'm looking for "gamer OS" but i'm not sure how many "gaming ornaments" a gaming OS can have. My linux knowledge is not horrible but certainly basic. I fare quite well with PC's in general and have (low-level) programming experience, so i have a glimpse of things. It's just that I don't know the more Linux-esque things. EDIT1: forgot to mention the most important thing.. JAVA support/performance EDIT2: Found out about Drauger OS: even has a particular low-latency kernel that gives less priorities to more mundane tasks. I'm interested in that one!   10. I am having terrible lag most of the time, even up to 5 minutes. I don't think it is the internet connection because ping to the server is okay. I am using WurmLauncher from the tar file.   11. I downloaded the WurmLauncher.tar.gz from the Wurm Online website Play link and extracted it. I installed it in the /home/user/wurm directory and it created its own folder: wurm-launcher When I ran it from a text file on the desktop with a path to the right place - absolutely nothing happened except a pop up saying there was an error opening the file! When I tried to run it in the console using the ./ command I got the following error: /WurmLauncher error while loading shared libraries: libpng16.so.16: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory The solution was to install what was missing (it was never installed) sudo apt-get install libpng16-16 Running the WurmLauncher either from the console or the desktop text file now works fine. All the files have been correctly added to the wurm-launcher directory, and Wurm opens. I am so new to Mint, I thought I would share this in case anyone else finds their WurmLauncher does nothing and sits there in silence.

  16. Linux users heads up: After this patch I could not load wurmclient or wurmclient_lowmem on machine running Linux Mint. Got a red box. Error log said the rain system was preventing the game from loading. Turned off GLSL and game loads without problem.

  18. So I came accross a couple of issues when rebuilding the database on Linux. 1. And the most annoying, is that the file format was set to windows only line formatting ... so when you executed the rebuild-dbs file, it just refused to run because of line formatting. Using an app called dos2unix i converted the line formatting, which solved this problem. 2. sqlite3.exe exist ... good job, but what about sqlite3 .... you know, for Linux/Unix types ... sigh -_-... so yea I downloaded a copy of that too. That solved all the database rebuild issues. See link for a download of the new rebuilt-dbs script [0] (with proper line formatting) and a copy of the sqlite3 executable for Linux ... if you don't trust me, just delete the sqlite3 executable, and snag a copy from here [1] that's all I did anyway, but I would be leery of adding executable's to my servers, so ... yea to each their own.   20. Alright, so I decided to try out this game and as I finally loaded into the world, I was met with solid ground. Then randomly, the ground turned transparent and my game lags because of it. I thought I somehow clipped through the ground so I did /suicide but that didn't work as it brought me to opaque ground which randomly turned to transparent. Note: I can see the parts of the map that all the sprites are blocking.   21. i updated the game, well, technically speaking, i started the game and steam updated it. i can log in fine, but i cant patch the mods. for some reason it seems it cant find the java path? everything is still there. like i said i can log in fine without mods. Please help...
  22. When installing the server it seems like the files are not completely downloaded or installed properly. Was working on Ubuntu 16.04 before the 1.3 update and if i update from a previous version it works like intended. I get the databases stored in a folder called dist, And a properties file for a program called flyway that says its for db migration. If i try running the server after copying the databases folder over to the main directory with WurmServerLauncher i get this
  23. Hey there first of all i would like to apologise if there is already a post about this. My issue is that i am wanting to make a server cluster, i am currently using Linux Centos7 to run the initial server so as ive stated on the heading it is a headless server im running and cant use a gui to configure the servers. I can easily enough set up another server but the issue is setting up the advanced settings for the cluster, i cant seem to find any of the settings in a configuration file on my initial server.   24. Hi, just want to report 3 bugs. 1st bug: that's how my launcher looks (the carbon fiber texture is my desktop background image): 2nd bug: the client keeps disconnecting me every 20 minutes. Error message in the client console: "Connection reset by host." 3rd bug: lanterns are flickering on and off in a cave if there are not in the field of view.   25. I'm trying to add another Wurm Unlmited instance running on the same host as my primary instance. I've went through the documented steps and hacked my way through them as most of them are aimed at people using the GUI. The problem I am experiencing is that I can still bring up my main instance just fine but my new server seems to be trying to capture the ports that the main instance is using, even though they have been changed in my servers table for that server.
