Skyefox and Hughmongus Co-leaders of the Albia Consortium Co-Administrators of The Albia Roads Map of Indy New Features and further information about how the Albia Roads Map of Indy was created. Back in October of 2012 we started work on the Albia Roads Map of Indy. Initially we did it as a private resource, when we found it was easy to get disoriented or lost using the old Indy map, when we were out exploring. The map was created from a compilation of the original Community map by DarkMalice, Project FRAM data from the early years of Wurm, Rolf's map dumps and actual travelling of the roads by Hughmongus and myself. It took Hugh a year in his spare time to intergrate all the geography data. Then we started tile counting the roads and highways in October of 2013 with the North East Praires and north coast. Any road that can be travelled on by foot or horse and cart is on the map. When we encounter roads that were behind locked gates/gatehouses we indicate what roads we can see. Where we were permitted access to map a settlement's roads, Gates and Gatehouses are indicated by a pixel gap in the road or side road. Where time allows, we are constanting updating the terrain and adjusting the coastlines, though in Wurm the landscape can change very quickly, so don't be surprised if some of it isn't exactly right. Thus, We do not guarantee accuracy due to the ever changing nature of a sandbox world. You will notice a few extra items on our map as well as some changes to icons, such as the new Tar icon, a smaller version of the Guard Tower and Mailbox icon's. The new Markers for Shrines, Temples, Obelisks and Pillars that were added in May of 2016 with more to come. The hollow Orange outline boxes surrounding the Guard Tower icons indicate the calling range for the guards - get the mob inside the boxed area and guards will respond to your call of "help" in Local Chat. Towers without the orange box we do not have an accurate position for yet, so only the GT icon is placed in an approximate location. The legend on the top left has all the information. Enjoy!   5. Ok, Indy server, maybe? Just went down. About 18:40 EST on 24 Oct 2019. Both my main and my alt got kicked from Indy server. Apparently many others on Indy got kicked. It later let me and my alt log back on. So was a temp lag/boot. When I logged back on, I was still riding my horse. TeeeBOMB
  6. Fixed Please close. Thanks. I'm on Indy, everything lagged to a standstill for me here. Server status pages say 71 ppl online on Indy. When I ping wurmonline, works fine. But both me and my alt are in a prolonged lag. Right click menus are not opening (they say 'refreshing'), and no chat tabs are getting updated. This is an odd sort of glitch. My wurm online windows are still open. Ok, so I logged out my alt. Closed that wurm window the correct way. BAM. The server status page says Indy still has 71 players online. So then I logged out my main. BAM. Server status page still says 71 players online on Indy. Something broke. When I try to log my alt back on, no go. "Network error: <An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host> Trying again in 170 seconds." Please fix this. Thanks TeeeBOMB

  13. I am a returning player. I was traveling to a few different continents in order to build and decorate for people. Some things happened in real life and I got pulled away. I'm looking forward to getting back into it. I'm hoping to find a active or semi active community, with room to grow ,that could use a hand. If my account has not been deleted, I should have money to pay for my upgraded account immediately. I use Discord as primary communication.   15. Hello, First off, we here on Indy do have far less Lag than Xanadu ? I'm located on Independence Q 20, just a bit south-west of the new central spawn hub "Haven Landing", you can follow the big 2 wide roads to find the place. The village is located on the newly created Canal, that connects the inner central Lake Crystal Bay and the small lake South Haven Lake and leads to the south sea, through a ship-tunnel. Means, you can sail to the village from south-east server boarder, and you can walk here from land. You can go shopping at the C.L.U.B. market, managed by Champagnedragon, just a minute north of my village, and i can also offer help on entchanting tools or weapons with my priest, and possibly help from alliance-priests, which will make your newbie life incredibly easier, and your veteran life bit more comfortable. I offer a village workshop, which has all kind of raw and bulk materials inside, which you can use to make your items out of. (For example Wooden Logs, Rockshards, Sand, Clay, Iron, Silver, Zinc, Tin, etc.) I offer a clay tile in the area, which you can dig all you like, the next closest claytile is at Haven Landing and further away at the eastern Lakes. The idea is, useing these materials you can create and improve your items and skills very efficiently. I can provide some free skiller tools as a starting gift, after short playtime. The workshop provides beds, forges, ovens, BSB, FSB, and of course shelter from the outside world ? You are allowed to use the free, public usable rockshards to make your bricks for your first stone house later, or use free Logs for a wooden house, and sand/clay for mortar and keep all materials you create for yourself of course. I see no need to focus on a house for a new player, but if you stay around for longer time, login regulary, i will help you to make a house plot for yourself. Screenshots i will add later.   18. Just after the server coming back up on 8Feb2019, I logged on at 10:52am EST on Indy server. When I got here, I noticed some objects that were previously underground in a mine had been shifted to above ground locations at the same tiles they had been at below. Some were on deed (Cornersville), some were off deed. Some were planted, some were not planted (I think a tapestry was not planted). All in all, 1 orange tapestry (I think not planted, but was on deed), 2 small wood signs (were planted, one on deed, other off deed), and 2 crate racks that had crates in them (not sure if these were planted or not, but these 2 items were both on deed) got themselves confused and decided to be above ground, when they were below ground before this server reset. I heard from another player this had happened before elsewhere. It was suggested by a local GM assist that I post this here, so the developers have some information to work with.   19. I'm sure this has been suggested before, but I don't think it's ever made it to its own thread. There needs to be a server strictly for hunting. Currently, the main Freedom cluster has hardly any hunting. I've traveled around everywhere on all four servers, and the hunting was great when they first opened. After people start breeding and collecting aggressive such as hell horses, the hunting has gone down. What hunting there is, Spirit Templars usually kill them. What I propose is a strictly hunting only server East of Independence, sailable by boat. Building, breeding, and penning of animals would not be allowed. There would be no deeds, guard towers, or Spirit Templars. The server should remain PvP-free simply for the fact that I know that Freedom players would enjoy hunting on it as well. After such a server would be implemented, it should solve a lot of problems for people who can't find decent hunting to get their Fighting and Weapon skills up. It would also add value to larger boats as you could transport a mass quantity of meats, hides, and pelts. It would open up a new trade window for people who want to supply bulk meats and other animal produce, which is only a GOOD thing for the economy. The size of such a server shouldn't be too big, perhaps GV sized 1024, or 2048. Items can be crossed between the servers, and perhaps some unique, non-game breaking items could be found on the server for hunters to collect. The animals would be more difficult, and would be a lot more prominent. Horses would be abundant so you could bring some gear to ride on them with. A few ideas that could be implemented along with this server would include: Sleeping Bag (Non-Repairable) - Cloth Tailoring 2 Furs 2 Sheets 10 Strings of Cloth --- Offers 1/3 Sleep Bonus compared to a bed --- 5 Minute logout timer Tents (Non-Repairable) - Leatherworking 5 Shafts 4 Leather (3kg each) 10 Wires 2 Sleeping Bags --- Offers 1/2 Sleep Bonus compared to a bed --- 5 Minute logout timer Ivory Ivory has a number of functions, but mostly decorational, which wouldn't be game breaking at all. What could be made from Ivory includes Horned Helmets, Ivory Musical Horns, Drinking Horns, and other decorational Ivory items. Unique Respawns Uniques could occasionally respawn here with no messages. This means that each new server that is added wouldn't be plagued with people who only join the server to kill the uniques. The uniques that spawn from new servers would randomly spawn here every couple of weeks after the newest servers are added. Stronger Animals This server could showcase animals far stronger than the typical animals on the other servers. Unique creatures such as the God's animals (Avatars) could respawn here, aggressive, and perhaps would drop loot such as 50-60QL weaponry (not high QL, but mostly trophy material). A server like this could be used to test stronger animals before implemented to mainstream servers, and perhaps one day Rolf could test smarter animal AI, such as troll and goblin outposts, or even NPC strongholds. Item Fixes Branches - Make Kindling out of them I don't really see a downside to this, and a server such as this would have the least strain out of any other server as there would be no buildings or deeds. I'd like to see people's thoughts on an idea such as this.

  25. The names, Thekraken, I'm a 6+ year player whose played on almost every server at some point in time. I'm looking to join an alliance in indy, I'm active most days ( ughhh like that work thing gets in the way...) I really enjoy wurm for the sense of community, so I'm looking for an active alliance, where I can contribute. I'd love to be apart of a large project, working towards a goal, something that is bigger than just me. I'm an easy going guy and down for just about anything. My timezone is EST and play at nights.
