Well its nearly that time of year again, yes of course I'm talking about the good ol' days of always looking over your shoulder in case 12 trolls escaped the arena, casting yourself off a cliff for prizes, trying to figure out which dragons are real, remembering which forge your pants are in during an emergency, or watching 10 templars mow down misbehavers and other such great Friendalong past times, so prepare yourselves, this year will be predicable deadly, but I'm sure you all have come to expect nothing less... And if not, welcome to the party, pants are optional! This years event, lucky #7 (6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1) will again be held July 20th to the 25th same date/time/location as previous years. But on a more serious note, This event is as usual brought to you by Dragon Beard Markets, the Elysian Academy Alliance of Pristine, and the donations from the community members like you! Well basically is a community event supported by a player host or hosts, who provide resources and facilities for the benefit of everyone, it tends to turn into a party. Each host's style is a bit unique so each "Imp-along" varies greatly. But basically its a place where everyone gets together to improve and cast for each other in a freeform labor exchange with resources provided. It the case of Friendalong Its a week long party, packed with all sorts of fun and games, prizes, booze, coffee, food, a very active PVE battle arena, and a ton of other events/games created by players! Anyone can come, anyone can help imp. Often people just come to grind there skill for free. You don't have to be able to get to maximum quality imp, just do what you can and someone else will finish up the work! Of course there are limits on equipment amounts that will be spelled out in detail below. You do not HAVE to contribute, but its certainly welcome and appreciated, and you can work your skills for free on other peoples gear. The only real restrictions is on channeling skill which should be at least 70 to help prevent shattered items. The arena should be infested with all the monsters and probably way too many of them again, but we will deal with it! This is also an important time of the year for the GM's. Its important to give them there chance to kill you, lets face it, you probably hassled one at some point this year, and they have a year of frustration to vent! So be sure to partake of the arena! As I always say, If you didn't die at the imp-along you did it wrong! Hit it hard and you can get a months worth of fighting done in a few days without the exploration! Eagle Eyes! I just wanted to take this moment to thank everyone for the diligence and effort you all put into keeping things fair and on the level, reporting suspect things/item violations and generally helping keep this and other player driven events on the level. It would be IMPOSSIBLE to keep these things going without your help. We have added Piers, additional floors to the inn, and moved the arena and made it bigger and better inner towers so archers can join safely to the mob spawning. I can't understand this. It seems that I have too high of failing rate when I improve items. I'm imping bows. I have a 99.98 carpentry, 99.45 bowery. My tools are all over 90 ql. and rare/w high coc cast (90+).Also I have a 86 skill on my carving knife and a 87 skill on my mallet. The bows were 86 to 88 ql. I went one whole stamina bar, and with the coc cast I'm able to do 9 acts, and I failed and damaged all 9 times in a row. Now this is just one example. It seems I have to take 5 steps back to go 6 steps forward. Just saying it don't add up to me.

So the other day I was imping a trap after a mission and realized I was getting carpentry not trap skill, then realized that yes, you can also get RM from net traps as well. I'm suggesting that at least some of the traps give "traps" skill when imped. -Leave net traps the way they are. -Change the other traps to give trap skill, thievery if desired/acceptable to devs, when imped like most normal items.

Hi I did not get a message about a moment of inspiration or the sound indicating a chance to get a rare when I used up my last bit of rare rock shard to imp a forge. This has happened to me a few times. I thought I remember getting a sound and a message even when I was not successful at getting a rare before. Is this a glitch? I have used up several rares in this way...and don't want to waste anymore..if it is a glitch. Would be grateful for any info on this matter, thanks:)

So this may or may not be a bug but I've been eyeing my JS gains for a bit and decided to write them down because they seemed off. Here they are, sb was used with all tests. Best gains should have been on an 88+ql ring. It appears the closer I got to the "ideal" imping spot, the less gains I got. The tests in half hour increments. I have used this method for the last 8+ months on multiple grinds and had excellent results which is why I believe something has changed in the last week+ or since I hit high 80~ JS. Edit: After thinking about it, if I had to guess, I would put money on failed imps not giving skill ticks like they used to. .227 skill on 77ql ring (wound up 81ql) .187 skill on 87ql ring .161 skill on 89ql ring .227 skill on 59ql ring (wound up 79ql)
