This post is to bring up a very old suggestion I remember seeing on the forums many years ago. The addition of special goblin AI which would include goblins banding into groups to build and defend their own villages (fully NPC run) on PvE servers. The goblins could lead small raiding parties on player deeds possibly doing some limited bashing / lockpicking to steal loot and bring it back to hoard at their village. I personally fell in love with the idea but fully understand how many would be against this feature. So as a compromise to those who just want to live in peace without the fear of having their valuables stolen, I suggest adding an option on the deed writ to opt out of being raided by these goblin villages. This way only people who want the extra challenge of defending their home from the evil goblins will have to. My personal suggestions on how it should work is goblin raiding parties of 5-25 goblins (maybe led by a champion goblin) would go after deeds that haven't been raided in awhile (and are opt'd in to being raided) and look for villages with mayors / villagers online. All loot obtained by these raids would be taken back to the goblin stronghold centered around the goblin leader to defend it. Smaller goblin camps could be on the map without the goblin leader but it would be nice to include him in this feature. This would add an extra exciting feature to wurm's PvE servers that all players aren't forced into. Players would then organize raid events to go slay the goblin leader and his minions to regain their treasured loot. *edit* Possible ways for distributing loot once the goblin leader is killed or the goblin village is deemed "defeated" is to randomly sort distribute items to premium players in local (similar to unique blood). Just to avoid players fighting over who gets what or what belongs to who. Another possibility is to respawn the items back to where they were stolen from. The # of items taken from the deed should also be limited. After the item limit is met the goblins would wander around or make their way to the token and could mark it in someway to declare their victory (Don't think they should drain it).
