  2. I had a question directed toward the Wurm Online Staff. I know you guys allow for players to make custom banners and stuff to upload to PMKs on Epic/Chaos, Well my question is, Is it possible for you guys to take requests for Wurm Unlimited as well. By default, the Wurm Unlimited Graphics.jar file reflects that of Wurm Online, so being able to get custom banners submitted through Wurm Online officially so they can be used on Wurm Unlimited will help the community make their servers more customize able. This will help with the players not needing to figure out how to force custom content packs on a server to people with client mods. Also players wont have to each manually edit their files for the server. If someone however, does know how to force a Texture Pack for PMKs or How to force a Server Pack that will allow you to "overwrite" default content/new content please let me know. Id like to change how the freedom Design looks, as well as making the other players able to see it without them editing their files.
  3. I've been playing with some custom map creations using L3DT to give a more realistic natural erosion feel. I haven't gotten the biome generation down yet (as you can tell from the lack of trees) but the channeling and erosion algorithms look pretty good to me. Shots in spoilers.
  4. VOLANTIS v2 I've had some great feedback over the last 2 years and implemented a number of server changes which sadly resulted in a reset of the map for the first time in August 2018. To activate a battle, examine either the Basic or Intermediate level signs.   6. Hello Fellow Wurmians! Setting up a server for the wife and I, we decided we wanted a bit more control of the map. I found some great tutorials and tools on this forum (thanks everyone!) and created a custom map. I wanted to customize the in game map, but keep it as true to the original as I could. I searched for some sort of template to use, but could not find one. It was further complicated that the creative mp map was a .dds in the graphics.jar and Gimp didn't natively handle this. I knew that I would likely want to make other maps, and that others in the community probably would too! So I quickly made a template to be used, all you have to do is paste in your custom map. It isn't perfect, but I hope people find it helpful! You can find a .png of each layer here for those interested in building their own custom maps. There is a project file that can be used to export as .png or .dds for Gimp users. (GIMP is free, open source software.) Maps that are a .dds in the graphics.jar will need a DDS plugin in Photoshop, Gimp etc in order to load and save as .dds. Happy Wurming!
  7. I want to have some custom flags, banners, tall banners, tabards and wagons. I created my own kingdom, but now all the kingdom items are blank and white. How do I customize these to what I want for my kingdom? Do I need a mod, or is there another way to do it?
  8. Midnight Wurm A custom game world by the Midnight Watchmen Gaming Community. Midnight Wurm's primary server is a custom 4,096 x 4,096 game map known as the "Realm of the Celestial Paladins". Starts, Gains, Configuration: We are a PvE server with a PvP sparring area and occassional PvP special events. Skill Rate Gain: 2x faster Player Combat Modifier: 2x Action Speed Multipiler: 3x faster Custom gain modifiers for each Characteristic Mind Logic/Body Control Start: 21 Max Creatures: 22,000 ( currently ~19k spawned ) Aggressive Creatures: 40% Total Population Numerous 'hotspots' so there is always a baddie to be found and places for group hunting parties Field Growth tick rate: Every 5 hours (~24 hour harvests) Breeding Time Modifier: default rate Live Map Viewer updates top of every hour Two additional deities connected to our world lore. Expandable bank slots (to 20) Server Modifications Made (Most): AshProduce - Ash has a small chance to appear in campfires, ovens, and forges. BetterCombatLog - Ingame combat log is colorized to help read combat text actions easier. BountyMod - You will receive a bounty for each creature you kill, rather than random chance. ChestClaim - Treasure Chests have a chance to spawn randomly on the server map, waiting for you to claim them CropMod - (Partial) Crops will not wither and will remain until harvested. HarvestHelper - (Partial) Server will broadcast when various harvest times are happening and close to ready. Players can also type /seasons to get detailed harvest/seasons information. BetterDig - When you dig piles will appear on the ground rather than going to your inventory. FireBurnTime - Examining an oven or forge will give you a more precise time left to burn message. HitchingLimits - More critters can be hitched than default, as to which ones you'll just have to see. HotS Fixes - (Partial) Allows mycelium to spread on the server, and allows Fungus spell to be cast. InBreedWarning - You'll be notified if you attempt to in breed your animals. MerchantItems - Merchants have their max items increased to 100 vs the standard 50. LibilaFix - Those choosing to go dark will not automatically change to HotS kingdom, so you can travel and not attempt to be axe murdered by most everything. MoveMod - Allows moving items to the center or corner of a tile from the right click > move menu. ProspectMod - You can now prospect inside of a mine to find veins vs. only on the surface. SalveMod - Displays power value in healing covers description along with ingredients. SpellMod - (Partial) Standard priest restrictions removed and need for linking. No delay between prayers (vs std 20mins). Default 5 daily limit. StableMaster - Allows lead or ridden animals to be converted for a fee to a token to aid in transportation. Tokens can not go between servers currently. ServerPacks - Used by other mods and allows us to add additional custom content. Tweak - Traders are immortal and can not be killed Tweak - Players are prevented from loot leeching dragon and hatchling slaying by simply being in the area. You must enage in the fight to receive loot. Admin - a variety of tweaks/mods to ease GM administration that does not directly effect players. *Partial means some of the options in the author's mod have been enabled but not all. Not all mods are listed here on purpose, for security or bit of mystery purposes. We recommend our players run the following basic mods: AGO's Mod Launcher, Live Map, Server Packs and Custom Map. However, the initial 11x11 tiles are granted free. So if you just want the basics you can have a free starter deed (you'll still need 80c for the upkeep fund minimum). Founding a larger deed is no problem, those 121 free tiles will be factored in during the founding process. Maximum allowed deed size is 100 in any direction on any of our servers.   10. *EDIT*Solved thanks to Darklords, apparently I should have been looking in the City Hall section for WO, not searching the WU section for this.*END EDIT* I've been searching all over for this info, but all I can find assumes basic knowledge and starts well after what I need to know. I have a PMK on my server that I want to implement a custom graphic for the banners/tabards/etc... for but I can't find how. I'm a complete beginner at this sort of stuff and everything I've found just tells me to open/decompile the .jar and edit stuff in there, but none tells HOW to open them, such as what type of program do you need to do so?

    Hello I am hosting a server that I hope more original Wurm Online players will join. I tried to make the server settings as close the the original as I could I know they aren't perfect but people who played WO know that it takes a lot to get your skills up and are proud when you reach a goal. The map is a custom map I found on forums and loved how it looked it is 8192x8192 so it's huge with islands and a mainland but plenty of spots to settle. I have a discord channel up which I will post on here as soon as I can (writing this on phone). There will be chest hidden areound the map that has everything from veggies to money in them and once they are found the chest will be moved to another spot with new items inside. For new new players that join I will give you 15s to start so you are able to get a deed setup and can start your settlement to live on. If you have questions please post here and I will answer as I can. the server name is {US,CAN,UK} East Coast Azealius Custom Map RP/PVE/PVP Server this server is brand new and as long as I have people playing I will keep it running. There are great places to settle come in and start your Wurm life now!

A player first crafts a trade pack using raw materials or goods harvested from the game world, then carries that pack across the game world before depositing it for a profit at a target destination. The transportation process is not without its dangers, however, as trade packs reduce a player's movement speed and make him vulnerable to other players who may steal his goods. If a player is killed by a bandit or pirate, the trade pack is dropped and may be captured by the criminal, who may then deposit it themselves and usurp the profits. These would be interactive boards (much like the village recruitment boards) where players can choose the pact runs they wish to carry out. AI Pirate Ships: I have sloop models completed but need the AI behind it. The goal of the encounters is to create more of a PVE and PVP fear at sea. Ago Server Modlauncher v.20 This allows the mods to work and communicate with each other. Bulk Items Separated MOD Mod that allows you to use one BSB for any quality material. It separates items stored based on items QL, so you would have e.g. 10 stacks of iron lumps in ranges 0-10, 10-20, 20-30, etc up to 90QL. After 90QL each QL unit gets its own stack. There is an option to revert the mod functionality, by simply blessing BSB. Don't forget to rename your blessed BSB, however, since blessing is not visible on "Examine"! Bounty MOD You recieve bounties for killed creatures, when you bury them. Harder the creature, better the bounty! Decay tick MOD This is one of several bandaids mods that we run. Wood scraps, rock shards, dirts and logs left on ground off-deed would be rmoved on first damage increase. Tweaks MOD Sets number of sleeping powders on every trader to 9. Domestics replacement MOD This is one of several bandaids mods that we run. Most of domestic spawns are replaced by hostile creatures, so it is harder to find a horse or a ram, but easier to find an adventure. Kingdom stuff MOD Mod that adds every single kingdom item available to list of craftable items. Tabards and towers are not craftable yet! Event & Loot MOD Adds various non-craftable loot items to creatures killed. During events,adds higher chance of dropping specific items from specific kills. Nofogspiders MOD This is one of several bandaids mods that we run. Removes fog spider event from game, because said event drastically affects server performance. Dead Shoulders MOD Adds rift shoulderpads to riftcreatures loot table. You can even get rare,supreme or fantastic shoulderpad if you're lucky! Dead critters MOD Adds progressively increasing chance for every creature to die, starting from "Old" age. Cared, bred, unique and champion creatures are not affected.

  15. The Happening is a fresh Alliance/Village based Free-for-All PvP Server with a custom map and custom mods. There is only one kingdom, Freedom. Server Map: The War of the Ancients, or just WotA, is the servers custom mingame replacing the default HotA game. Every village is fighting against each other, even alliances. The system is simple: 3 capture towers will spawn in the WotA area at the map center. Standing near a tower will capture it for your village, but only if there are no enemies around. Towers can be captured back by other villages. The first village that owns all 3 towers wins and gets a reward statue wich will appear at the settlement token. This mode is still a bit experimental, so report any bugs if you find them. If everything works as expected, more features like temporary buffs will be added to it.   17. Hi, I have recently founded a PMK on an offline Wurm U server. I have been able to add custom Banners, Tall Banners, Flags and Tabards (for those interested was very helpful). I am assuming that there should be a file for wagons in the pmk.jar that hasn't yet been added to the game files, however I just wanted to know if anyone had found a way around this and has found a way to add in custom wagon textures. I have found the .dds (image) files in the "graphics.jar/transports" and am unsure if the "Wagon_main.wom" file is what needs to be changed. Also how do you edit a .wom file? Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance
  18. Hey everyone, I made a small (1024x1024 tiles) survival map for singleplayer or a small group of players. There is one big volcano island near the center, and 2 smaller islands out in the water, near the map borders. The small islands each contain 1 clay spot and peat or moss. They are both pretty high, so you can mine on them. I use them for the WL and BL, but thats up to you. The main island contains serval clay spots, some tar fields, a steppe, a desert, a tundra and the volcano. There are 2 versions with different rock layer depths, one with 55-65, the other one with 85-95. The zip is including the map dump, the cave map (with and without water), the terrain dump and the topography map. Download (ZIP Archive): normal version - version with more dirt/deeper rock layer

I try to run a custom map at my server - but wurm unlimited server will not start., Last line in log: INFO: Finished loading Wurm IDs, that took 1.879341 millis. ... for more than 15 minutes it will not be go on and i abort. Map size 2048 will work wothout problems an fats. Maybe map size 4096 is to big for RAM and wurm server gives no feedback? AMD Athlon II X2 RAM 4GB CentOS 7.2 Greetings

VWT Home - 2048x2048, landing server, 8000 creatures (30% hostile), altars VWT South - 4096x4096, 16000 creatures - will be increased once population rises (25% hostile), has a couple of no-PvP zones, altars All new players have the option of 3 kingdoms to join: Freedom Isles (Freedom), Dragonsteel Militia (Mol Rehan based PMK) or Tenebrous Exiles (HotS based PMK) all with their associated newbie villages which have most newbie resources close by. We're currently looking for more active players to join Tenebrous Exiles and Dragonsteel Militia so as to balance the three kingdoms. There is even a spot for an active player to become the King/Queen of Dragonsteel Militia as we already have a King for Tenebrous Exiles.   24. Now that I've seen the custom map generation tools and new skins on animals, I'll toss out an idea and see if anyone smarter than me wants to try making it happen. The reason for the idea is to add additional realism to an already beautiful (and impressive) set of custom maps. 1a. Blending of biomes in map generation. Today, we see too much of a hard line, when going from sand, to tundra, to forest. I'd like to see more blending happening between them. Call it a hybrid zone that looks part one type and part the other. For instance, if Steppe and Forest connect, have a buffer zone that is grassier than tundra & has smaller versions of trees and shrubs (force them to never mature and limit how many can spawn in that buffer zone? 1b. Making a special "wet look" tile of each landscape type, that helps add a touch of realism. 2. New rock & dirt skins, based on the dominant concentration of ore types below ground. If there is a higher percentage of iron in the area, make the dirt and rock more reddish. I'm not a geologist, so I'll let smarter people figure out what rock types and dirt colors go best with our other ores. 3. Elevation based snow. Is it possible to set the winter skin permanently for certain elevations? Better yet, it is possible to set it to move the snow line to higher and lower elevations, based on season changes, automatically? Finally, is it possible to add one more factor into the snow line: North vs south locations of the map? Winter is coming!!! 4. When generating a map, can different flora and fauna be auto generated as more likely at different elevations, near or far from water, etc? Not a huge deal, as we can just use our artistic ability to plant where we want. (?).
