  2. In the past you could easily set your boats and carts for your kingdommates to use by just checking the friends permission, because most people had kingdommates added. This made it easy to have boats available for kingdom access in the case that they're needed for defense or raiding, but now to have boats like that, you need to think up the names of each and every single person in your kingdom, type each of their individual names in manually, and give each and every one of them permissions on the boat. These permissions often wipe when crossing servers on the epic cluster (a common occurrance). Often you forget some names to put on the boat, and when the time comes to get on the boat for pvp, people go "I can't get on, I need permissions!". This is really annoying when you're on a sailboat with kingdommates crossing servers on the epic cluster, and now you're on another server and nobody has access on the boat anymore. Then you have to add each and every person to the boat's permissions by name again. This would be much easier to do if there were a permission option for Kingdom, so that you could check permissions in the kingdom line to give those permissions to all members of your kingdom, rather than having to type in a name and check boxes for each individual character. The kingdom permission option already exists for houses, please add it for boats and carts as well.
  3. Saddlebags and Small Carts

    So I looked at the forum to find anything about saddlebags and indeed the community has quite a bit about wanting it. So, I will not go into detail about it other than... Saddlebags would be a great addition to wurm! Seriously. Now onto the Small Carts. "But wait Enigma... There are small carts." Yep, I think it would be a nice addition to the game to have the ability to hitch one horse to the cart. it makes sense to me considering that is what people do with horses. They hitch them to stuff they would rather not pull on their own.Of course you would still have to lead it. The other thing that would be a nice addition is the ability to load a single Large Crate or two Small Crates in the Small cart. I cannot count the number of times where I needed to carry just one or two crates somewhere or needed a crate in a location where horses are unable to go. Hitching up a large cart for one crate just seems... excessive to me. In these instances I am forced to spend a large amount of time pushing or pulling it to the location. Even if the ability to hitch is not going to fly, loading into a small cart would be awesome. Well theres my 2 cents worth of Saddlebags and Small Carts!
  4. Getting tired of seeing carts, wagons, and boats left haphazardly around coastal areas, or even on-deed? For Carts/Wagons: create a new item or type of tile that can be placed by a deed owner. Drivers of carts can right-click it, select "Park", and the cart will be moved into that area nice and neat and straight, similar to what happens when you hitch horses to carts. For Boats: Create an item (Dock Cleat maybe?) that deed owners can place on tile edges next to water. Boat drivers can right-click the cleat and select "Moor", and the boat will park next to the shore nice and neat (not up on the dock or crashed into shoreline). Deed owners can have settings that specify whether citizens, alliance members, and non-citizens can moor boats on-deed without using the cleats, essentially making deeded areas possibly private docks (but totally up to the deed owner). You could even get crazy and assign cleats/spots to specific people - reserved parking!
  5. About littering.

    I find it to be troublesome that there are so many large carts, wagons and boats littering the place, especially the ones that end up on your deed, and you then can't do anything about them. First off it looks bad, secondly it probably doesn't help server performance. Note that this is mainly about abandoned vehicles. Basically, I would like various vehicles to be removed faster than they are currently, and I have a few ideas about how to do this: Vehicles that belong to players with no active premium decay at accelerated speed. Vehicles that belong to players that have not been online for a month begin to rapidly decay. Vehicles that have not moved in a long time decay at an accelerated speed. Horses attached to wagons/carts will starve/break free if the wagon/cart has not been used for a long time(2-4 weeks?). Vehicles that do not belong to a villager of the deed they are parked on will decay rapidly if they have been there for a set amount of time(1 week?) Boats parked in shallow water take damage at an increasing rate. The above are just ideas, and I think anything that would get rid of these things are a huge improvement, regardless of what that might be(as long as it doesn't force people to repair their vehicles constantly if they are being used). Another acceptable solution would be for locks to decay quickly using any of the above, so that we can at least move the things. Currently on my deed I have a boatload(no pun) of boats, carts, wagons etcetera that are wasting space, probably causing lag and look horrible. I feel it also makes little sense that I can litter other players deeds with boats, large carts and wagons without them being able to do anything about it. I am aware that GM's will currently assist with these issues, however it seems a waste of both their time and the players to assist with such tasks. Noevi
  6. Speed up carts

    I know that they are going to look at speeding up the boats but i think they should speed up carts too. I use a small cart around the deed sometimes and there is no need for it to be so slow when loaded. Even on a small deed it can be a pain when you want to drag a few things someplace.
  7. Can the Railroad come to Wurm?

    Hi, i have some wonderful ideas for you. I thought it would be fun to have railroads. Like carts, rails, tracks, maybe a train, or a 1-2 man pump. Also another good idea is a ice box, where you can put any kind of meals in it.
  8. Disembark from large carts

    I have noticed since last update, If you are in a large cart you can not disembark from it by right clicking nearby tiles and disembarking. There used to be an option there to do so, the option does not exist. I do not know if this is an actually bug, or was intended to be removed. I am using stable client. Thanks.
  9. I use alot of trucking keys and locks, I have over 500 active keys almost 6th satchel is full or my keys. WELL... I did Noticed after update I am no longer able to Lock and Unlock stuff while on my Wagon, or commanding I know have to be on solid ground ?!?!? This was not an issue before permissions. Could you please make it where we can put locks on items while commanding vehicles aging. Its a pain to dismount everyy single time I want to lock something. And I have to lock a ton of stuff with permission With the new permissions requiring locks to manage the permissions I have over 300 bsbs unlocked chests abd food bens etc... spread out all over tge place that still needed locks. I own over 1,000 lockable items mostly locked but I need to replace my locks soon on everything since Mirrormatch might of copied my keys from his last theft. Please fix this. Not sure if this was intended or not. I wear plate and always carry my tools, weapons on me I never walk faster tyan 2.00 km/h I enioy my mounts and Carts etc.. Fix the locks please. (Everything is acticing like a door now) instead of lock it reads attach lock. Which im not sure if it requires solid ground or not but anyways. Also an idea I wouls like to see added to permissions. I already share my merchants but I have to do everything myself. Also could we manage Merchants on permissions? And on the history can you add who bought what items? And what sold? I find myself guessing what sold 100% or the time because I forget due to the many items I put inside etc. I would like to share my merchants with my alts, friends and alliance etc... qity out adding items myself etc. Somw check boxes that could be managed in permissions. Add items Change prices Remove items Remove silver And finally an issue Also I have keys still to wagons I have collected from old alliances members, I am the maker but not the owner they quit the game. So I had wagona recovered I made them. 1) They are locked I do have the keys 2) I was able to command, load, unload and use normally 3) new permssions system A) I can Open remove item and add items I can not unload C) I can not command, thus No loading stuff D) I can not do permissions not the owner (understandable) E) I can not remove the Locks (wtf I got the key) F) I can not Drag,Push,Hitch,Etc... I can still use them as storage containers I guess wince I can open whilw holding the keys, but cant do anything big with then. I have 1 inside my boat loaded. I can unload it so now I got a rare cart inaide my knarr wasting space. Lol Could we fix it where if one holds the key abd the owners doesnt not play the game or exists anymore ( a delete option ) Or Claim command... I already own 8 of my own wagons but 5 additional ones were left behibx. I use them or I did not they are parked in horrible places for storage. I guess I could leave them abd just add items and remove items when needed. Please lets hear some good input on this post.
  10. I seem to remember coding being added which would resolve the issue of becoming diseased when riding a cart and/or wagon. (When wagons were implemented) After spending roughly 30 minutes on my cart with two hitched horses I am getting "You scratch yourself. What did you catch now?" This wasn't an issue again until recently. As such, I thought I better check my four hitched bison on my wagon, and they are also diseased. (Front passenger and rear driver side bisons are diseased if it helps) I also had 8 fresh five speed horses die on enchanted grass while hitched by two's to carts. The carts were parked three tiles away facing a building, which left one additional tile in between the horses and the building. When the horses died (they were mature by the way), their corpses appeared in the building, 3 tiles ahead from where they were hitched. This leads me to believe there is a positional issue and they starved to death. I've also had hell horses disappearing and/or dying when hitched to a wagon parked on enchanted grass. All within the last month. I thought I better mention it, so someone could look into it. Feel free to contact me and I would be happy to show you the area which I am describing. P.S. I'm not looking for any compensation. Just letting you know what I have experienced.
  11. Bridges and picking up...

    I have made 3 bridges, 1 of which has 3 sections. Every single bridge and section is now saying [04:59:09] You need to be on the same bridge in order to do that. when something is dropped on them. Other issues on all of them. 1) I was unable to reembark on my cart and also my wagon on one of them. A friend also got stuck on the same bridge. 2) Building them, I had to use an alt as a driver for the cart that had the materials and that driver had to keep the builder in range because once the access to the cart was lost, it could not be reacquired while on the bridge. Same message. You need to be on the same bridge in order to do that. 3) Lead animals drop off where the bridges meet a structure.
  12. Ok, So it has always been a problem to unload ships. Considering this, I think it would be a good idea that the distance from the ship was lengthened so that it was easier to load and unload a ship. Also to make the cart or items visible from a longer distance while on your boat. Not too crazy long but enough that you don't have to park your cart in the water and your boat on the dock. Also make it so you can access your ship hold from anywhere near your ship, not just one or 2 spots. If you are close enough to get an examine menu then you should be close enough to access it.
  13. [Xanadu] Race Track

    While having a lovely visit from a new friend Genevieve, after curing my poor foal of a Corruption bug I had a thought. Considering the idea that our beloved Horses aren't providing much more than Cart pulling and Transportation from one location to another, they are otherwise usually just found sitting around our Deed Pens munching away on our grass and crops. Imagine if there was somewhere you could go, with a bunch of other people looking to use their Equine friends for so much more than laboring tasks around deed or transportation. Somewhere that people could gather to enjoy each others company and truly see who's horse was the fastest of the fast. Now I've seen a thread created not too long ago about a Cross Country Horse Race. But this was an event over quite a bit of terrain and perhaps wasn't exactly the easiest or safest way to approach competing with one another. Considering I can image that there would be Trolls, Fiends and other dangers for every player who decided to partake, and perhaps a few people might've even died or lost their way to never actually complete the race in the first place. Personally I imagine a more controlled environment, with a start and finish line where player's could ride within a safe track, without Hostile's riding on your tail every gallop of the way. Where each Race event would be more controlled as to who could and couldn't enter as well. Where each entry of the Cross Country appeared to favor horses of the top Speed Breeding pools, with the best of the best gear, and anyone without these things were left in their dust.. What of the players who couldn't even ride Horses yet? I hope to host a Track that would encourage all kinds of Race types. From the typical Horse Back, to Cart Races, and perhaps even some of the more 'strange' types. If you're confident in your well bred Bulls or Bison and want to enter them into any sort of Race, who is to stop you? Proving a complete Track is entirely possible, with varying terrain and terrain obstacles such as different pavements, mossy terrain and other things that players would either have to find a way to avoid or push through to maintain their place in the run. I'd like to be able to provide winners prizes for Grand Events that we'd be able to host on a more scheduled date. Prizes could include a Free Horse, Horse Gear, and other Goodies too. How many people would be interested in this sort of thing? What things do you think could use improving in this idea or should be added/removed?
  14. Disembark as a Passenger

    # What happened: If trying to disembark as a passenger inside of a building it will teleport you into the roof, has happened more than once. Logging out completely helped once, Enki had to help another time. # What you expected to happen: Disembark # Steps to reproduce: Ride on a large cart as a passenger, once inside try to disembark.

  16. I cannot fight from a cart. Even if I am inside the mob, it's too far away. If I get off the cart, however, I am teleporting and cannot perform any actions. I just stand there getting the tar beaten out of me and can do nothing back. I manage to get back onto the cart and can no longer attack. Also, I can kill a swarm of crocs (when I am not teleporting) back to back to back and get scratches. A bear comes along and I'm being owned. Killed a troll without being so much as shaken but a spider put me in a hurt locker. Something is seriously broken.
  17. Currently, bell towers are a complete pain to work with. They can be pushed/pulled, but can't be loaded... so if you want to add another floor to your bell tower building and move it up a story, you have to destroy it and create a new one instead. Unfortunately, you also can't bash them, so the best you can do is shove the old one off deed and hope for it to decay. I don't see a reason why they shouldn't be able to be loaded into carts/wagons/ships, or at the very least, bashed so you don't have to deal with extra ones lying around until they decay eight years later.
  18. I've suggested this before but once again find myself paring down my friends list for the sake of vehicle security. I would like to give some members of our alliance, but not all, and some members of my friends list, but not all, permission to use my large carts and boats. Right now it's all or nothing for village and friends which forces me to reduce my friends list to only those I want to use my vehicles. Some people you may run into seem like decent folk on the outset, but if we friend each other to keep in touch and converse at a later date that should not automatically give them the right to access my boats, wagons or carts. This should be reserved for people that have proven their intent and trustworthiness, not any random player that throws you a friend request. I suggest changing the vehicle management and permissions to be similar to those of a building writ or mine door.
  19. So a friend had her ship stolen, it was found later but completely emptied, and she was in the middle of moving to Xanadu. I did some testing. As long as key's on me or my backpack, ANY item I activate gives me the "Unlock" option when rightclicking my vehicles. Hadn't given it much thought until now, when I realized "heeeey... some people, myself included, play with sound off at times". The clicking sound had tipped me off so far all these times but....... ARE YOU TRYING TO HELP THIEVES? I'm gonna assume it's a bug and not intentional. She was pushing her ship through a canal exit and accidentally unlocked it without noticing, and a vulture passed by checking for unlocked ships, magic. http://postimg.org/image/nhwxz8nr3/ Not cool at all, please fix.
  20. Pack-up small cart.

    Package up a small cart into a compact object you can put in your inventory, tent, ground, or any other container it fits inside. * Must be empty to pack-up. * The packaged cart object is not a container. * Should weight equal to the sum of its parts. * Make the item's volume be smallish. It should be friendly to transport but not so small you can say put it in a jar. * You just pick it up or drop it like any other item >NOT A FLIPPEL LOAD ITEM<! This idea could be extended to other container/vehicles. large cart in tent. Rowboat in bigger boat. This is how catapults should be transported in the first place. edit: spelling, grammar

Then it would be a worthy addition to the game. Want four animals and speed? Make a chariot like that. -------------------- Want a ship equivalent? Make a freight cart.   22. Rename Carts

    Love if we could rename carts that we own, just as you do Boats. Would be nice to see at a glance what they said rather than examine all the time. Yes I know you can rename. but I would like it to be visable like boats.
  23. Basically my idea is to add a new cart to the game, a carriage. Much in the same fashion as the Stagecoaches that wealthy people used to hire/own for personal transport. See http://www.daz3d.com...coach-large.jpg The Carriage would be a high end Fine carpentry item, a similar goal to Fine carpenters as the caravel is to boat makers in terms of skill. It would be able to hold 4 passengers + 1 driver. Passengers gain immunity to attack from creatures while riding, while driver is still open to attack. Cart would have the same storage as a small cart, so it is purely a vanity item as it holds little to no advantage over the large cart. Could be fitted with 2 hanging lanterns for added light source? Rough idea for items required: 1 small wheel axle 1 large wheel axle (requiring roughly double the materials of a small one, and large wheels take iron ribbons) Yoke 40 planks 6 large nails 16 small nails 4 iron ribbons 1 door lock or padlock (whichever is easiest to code for, either way, the cart is built 'locked') 2 lanterns 15kg square bits of cloth 10kg leather 2 rope Something of that order of materials, with an expected fine carp level of 30-40+ to start and continue.
