  1. I would like to suggest that the capacity of well should be increased to match the capacity of the fountains. A well can currently hold 125 litres of water while a fountain can hold 1125 litres. Why? - Personally I prefer wells over fountains and would like to be able to choose from preference rather than by what works best while smithing - A well takes more time to make than a fountain so there's no logistical reason for having them contain less - It doesn't change any functionality and the game isn't affected in any way other than that the well would hold more liquid
  2. Currently we can rummage, forage and botanise. It would be a nice touch if we could also beachcomb, essentially only usable on sand that is also a water tile. Linked to the forage skill. It would allow newer players some non-destructive access to logs and the like. Finds : Driftwood (a 4 weight low QL log) (Common) (30/100) Mussels (lightweight meat) (Common) (30/100) Kelp (Common) (299/1000) Seashells (possibly of use in jeweling, otherwise just something that always has a high QL to sell at a token?) (Uncommon) (1/20) Bladderwrack (A new healing cover ingredient, weighs 0.3, str 3) (Uncommon) (1/20) Bottle with a random note in it (bottle is lightweight jar alternative, weighs only 0.05) (Rare) (1/1000) Rare Roll : Sea Chest (Random low QL small chest with some coins in it (instead of one 5 copper coin it gives 5 1 copper coins etc)) (Normal rare roll rates)
  3. This is not a bug but i would call it a game mechanics problem... I was putting in a boat mine entrance today on my deed and i discovered the hard way that i could surface mine two dirt/slope lower than the game allows us to tunnel in water. Luckily I could still use concrete to get the tile back high enough to be allowed to tunnel again but if not i would have been really upset right now, lol edit: I guess it should be either reversed or made to be the same height so others do not run into this problem.
  4. Is there any restriction on how deep in water strongwall will work on a tile? I have a tile that i was going to tunnel into to force the tile i want my boat entrance on to be deeper. The tile is too deep to tunnel if you are standing in front of it but i could open it up from the side okay. I just do not want to get stuck without being able to strongwall it shut once i do open it up. I think it will be about 46 below water once the tile opens up. NVM: It will not let me tunnel from the side either like i thought it would so i can't open it up anyway.
  5. Surfing

Saw hatchet on log = surf board. Don't even need wave animations and visuals; though, that would be awesome. Just a good gale. Body and Mind stats could impact one's success. Also a little Surfaris just because they are traditional, and I have fond memories of my father drumming Wipe Out with his hands: >http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkGZsPDvFkI
  6. I recently received a potion of water walking from a Valrei mob, and talking to other players and mods, it seems it is pretty rare but not working as intended. There is no way to use this item! Thanks.
  7. Recently acquired a Potion of Water Walking from a Valrei mob.. Anyone know what it is? It doesn't appear you can use it yet, and there is not much info on it. Thanks.
  8. I would love to be able to plant items in shallow water, up to 7 dirt deep, which is as far as we can dig down without dredging. I've planted items in shallow water in real life. It is harder and takes longer, but it is doable, without special machines.
  9. It is done all the time in real life, why not allow it here? Think of the sweet stone causways and piers we could make, even though we would go insane making concrete. Also would be invaluable for fixing tunnel opening mistakes, when you accidentally mine the bottom edge to 1 below the water. Even if we have to make a "concrete forms", to further increase the complexity of water construction... anything, just so long as we can do this. Thank you.
  10. So I am trying to move water from an rare ornate fountain to a water skin. First drag works, I poured the water on the ground, and the second time I get the message "You cannot carry that much." Activating the water skin and filling does work.
  11. Here i am siting on my horse just standing here and I hear the splish splosh splash sound repeating it self to no end. Its driving me mad. Horses make sounds like they are swimming or treading water when they are clearly out of water and standing on ground that isn't wet at all. even up to 10-20 dirt above water level.
  12. Would be nice hear a sound effect and video effect when we fall into the water (e.g. from >30 slopes, or other) A wonderful Splash!!!!
  13. Not sure if this is intended or not but you can drop a tent on a water tile. Not a major thing but thought i would post it anyway. (Not sure about the rest but for sure the newbie tent)
  14. I don't care how you do it either by a new crate or just load in a boat but we need a way to transport animals over water. Not across server boarders just across the water on the same server. Edit: The non-swimming kind like bison, deer, cattle and hell horses

  16. Was playing around with this idea Water power they had it in medieval times and it made things a little easier. Would be cool to bring creeks and rivers into game they would run thru each server with curves and loops like the real world. So people could get inland and people that are not next to coast could get a good water resource. As well as bring in the Water wheel with gears you could create from iron and chains or rope to make them turn. To create anything. I am not talking about steam power or machines here lol just a simple technology that would fit into this time frame. It would be cool if you could craft a river boat with water wheels. Large like a barge to transport heavy loads inland. Just throwing this out there dont hate me for it lol
  17. It's possible to drag an item from a bulk storage bin into a container partially filled with water that you cannot place inside otherwise. Small bug but I figured it was worth reporting anyway.
  18. Something I have always found lacking on wurm the the absence of springs and streams. So last night, at 3am with a bottle of tequila in my hand I started writing. I woke up this morning, it actually still makes sense (this might be the hangover but it goes seem a workable mech). Simply put it adds 1 new tile type and 2 new "wall" types. New Tile : Spring Notes : Acts like a normal tile, can be drunk from, If a channel is made next to it supplies that channel with water. New Tile : Water Flow/Waterfall Notes : Natural water flow, this edge tile can be built over, disrupting the flow of water. Allows the 2 adjoining tiles to be drunk from and also have reeds spread to them/planted next to them. The waterfall option is just a cosmetic to a very steep drop (>40?) New Tile : Outlet Notes : Forms at the coast, this edge tile can be built over. New Tile : Water Channel Notes : Same as water flow but cannot be built on, must be destroyed. Requires 40 digging to construct (simple right click action). The Rules of Water Flow 1. Water will only flow to an equal or lower elevation, creating water flows as it does so. 2. Flow will have the following preferences : Channel, Lowest open, same direction lowest (so if we have a flow from N to S then it will prefer another N to S flow over an E to W flow if both options are present), rnd chance if 2 different direction lowests, equal same direction, rnd chance if 2 different direction equals (will never return to a height node that has 2 flows already). 3. If water flows from an elevation above water to one below water level an outlet is created. 4. If the height of corner is changed then any water flows adjacent will recalculate, water flows at one tile per hour to prevent mass recalculations. This should always generate a flow that heads downhill (flows can stop (we just assume it goes underground for now) if there are no viable moves.
  19. I am not sure what the deal is but I have a mine that I mined one tile down in the corner behind my forge past the water line but I can not drink from it. I have done this in the past and have had no trouble drinking from the tiles and this one is much deeper and still no luck. I have went so far down on the tile that my character is swimming and still not getting a drink/fill option on the tile.
  20. My idea in this post is simply to allow for different elemental types on monsters, we can have lava spiders, but why not frost trolls, or maybe a scorching bear, maybe a flood Scorpius? I haven't thought of a catchy name for any existing creatures in game to have with rock but that should still be a possibility.
  21. Since yesterday's patch in-game water looks different for me. It used to look pretty and realistic for a long time - now it's become monochrome, transparent, almost invisible. I didn't change any settings nor did I mess with my graphics driver or settings. Has water been changed with the last update? Does anybody have the same effect?
  22. Fountains With Water as most of you may know we now have fountains with water that is spraying out of them, it looks realistic except you cannot hear the water hitting the bottom of the fountain and the bottom of the fountain is empty. The Fix ! the fix (reason for this suggestion) is for us to have the sound of the water actually hitting the bottom of the fountain, and the fountains having water at the bottom of it aswell, in the base where the water is flowing too
  23. (Sorry if it's been already suggested...) A very great addition to Wurm would be skill dec... err no sorry ... moving waters ! Indeed, there is no rivers or waterfalls in Wurm. This would be a very great feature, adding more possibilities (moving through rivers, bridges, terraforming for agriculture : think about rice fields !, drinkable water and sea salty water...). The mechanism could be something like this : when it rains or snow, all the tiles get 1 "dirt height equivalent" of water. If this is dirt, the water go 1 level lower until it reach rock. If this is rock, it moves to the next lowest tile. If all the next tile are higher, it stops. => lakes, water tables, underground rivers, mine flooding !!! . Just a proposal.
  24. Hi, I am not sure if its a bug or not, but I have a water in my inventory without any container (wasn't there before logged out at server maintenance). Haven't noticed any other changes yet in my inventory but maybe something missing or replaced with water.
