I just tried to found a deed on my local Adventure server and it seems no matter where I move to, I get the message: [22:55:10] You cannot found the settlement here, since this is a battle ground. I have moved around quite a bit so I'm guessing I set something wrong when I created this server... I tried turning off PvP but didn't know what else to try... I hope someone can help! I have a couple of the Valrei items I'd rather use than waste Thanks in advance

Sniff. Finality is going through inactivity moods these days. Everyone's still welcome to join the ranks as always, but if you're looking for a place with people running around and shouting "Hi, how are you!" every day, then you may end up being disappointed. I warmly suggest hooking up with Oakheart. Or you can come and be alone with us. Dot dot dot. Highways. Reaching everywhere, seemingly endless. Adventures. Waiting for you, offering challenges and rewards. Ruins. Perishing slowly in silence, but the tales they could tell. Travellers. Brave fortune seekers, or desperately adrift in the seas of the wilderness. Sol and the moons. Observing, dispartial, tranquil. And then there's us, silly bunch of people who throw every bit of wisdom to the wind and spoil a perfectly good and profound intro. Finality Life's good. A fun group of friendly people (cannot sell us as boring and hostile, can I). We play, we idle, we admire eachother's underwear fashion and occasionally we succeed in... things. Our village has had ups and downs, more people and less people, but we're still here. Looks like even the Deed Reaper has facepalmed and given up on us. We don't care too much about making money, please bring your own. However, we are friendly and caring and we share your stuff, please bring a lot of money. Over time we've grown resistant to bad meals. There's a rule not to beat the cook, hence we all do cooking. Badly, but kill ratio is near zero. We have learned to decrease long term suffering by falling on the head on the first try. Our horses recently learned to walk forward, sheep have stopped barking (they picked up sneezing though) and bisons don't have constant gas anymore (some still argue that's not an improvement). Are you looking for a place to start over new? Or just fairly new to the game? We are a couple of experienced players who can offer you a safe place to explore the world of Wurm from. We live on a beautiful lake with plenty of open land to build on. We also have several houses ready to be occupied if you would rather focus on other things than building a house for now. Perhaps you are a returning player, looking for a base or an active community to start your own project next to? Or if you are completely new to the game you are more than welcome to stay with us. We can help you navigate the game - but we do have our own things to do around the deed so we appreciate if you have that drive to make things happen yourself. Not to say I don't love spoiling new players with some good food for high nutrition so you can focus on more fun things to do, or hook you up with something useful every now and then - but we will not be doing everything for you. If you are looking for a challenging and friendly environment, why don't you check out Hellebroek? Hellebroek is located on Exodus at N22 near the coastline (Avonlea Bay/Golden Woods) and accessible over water or land. We are members of the Alliance of Whitebroek, which also contains Whiterun (capital). The settlement has access to a wide arrange of raw resources as well as on deed as in the direct surroundings. That means less than 3 minutes traveling to extract them. A lot of Hellebroek still requires building, this is the perfect spot for aspirant masons and carpenters. "Sharp land" a small, old Deed with a lot of work to do on the Island at i11 The island have a Mountain and two guard towers. Not many angry creatures live here. It is far away from the starting points. Glasshollow, Linton and Vrock Landing are the next. You can reach the middle of west Xanadu from here with a boat. Leathercity - a new village located at J8, Xanadu. Leathercity is located between mountains and offers a very nice natural scenery. Even though it is a bit secluded, a highway connects it to starter town Linton and many other deeds in alliance. The village itself is new, but the mayor, Tinaskat has been playing for many years. She can offer help with many skills that she has, and knowledge to get new players on their feet. Leathercity will accept both new and established players. We are welcoming new and returning players at the N. Indy Academy. Brand new and looking for a place to stay as to make survival a little easier? Want to get back in the game without starting your own deed? Tired of being lonely? Looking for a strong community? WHY Indepence? Its the perfect size Xanadu is too large to travel from edge to edge comfortably (and the other servers are too small instead = little wildneress left.) Steady playerbase With WU, Independence didn't loose nearly the amounf ot players that Xanadu did! We are old, experienced, and we love this server too much to abandon it. It has the most active ratio of players in relation to the server size, hence you get a lot of activity = active alliance = activa trade/barter system. We had people move here from Xanadu in search of a more active community. So what can we offer you here on this great server? We are right on the beach of Colossus lake (Independence server), just a couple of tiles from water and convenient highways to help you navigate. All the basic resources are very conveniently located here. This village is also part of an alliance, with several experienced and friendly players - this allows you to use the alliance chat channel to get in touch with the surrounding community, in times of need, or just for fun. (The village itself is an alliance creation, hence a lot of us are invested in the Academy). Don't forget that you get a free teleportation to the Academy as well (if you haven't already used this option when joining another deed.) Housing: We got two options for housing atm: Your very own locked room in our inn (til something else opens up OR you/we build something new for you ) Empty land to build on The available plots of land are 4x6 - but a 3x6 house would be max due to the other tiles being on a slope (mild slope for farming, fences or such) So what do we have to offer? Resources: The mine entrance is on deed, with the main material needed (iron) being right inside the entrance. Very convenient. Tar and clay are within 2 minutes of travelling either by boat or on foot (or in a cart or wagon if you got premium). A public farm area where you can grow crops, tend to them and eventually harvest them. The farm also holds animals for grooming, milking, shearing and breeding. It also has a kitchen with ovens and a storage area for crops, seeds and wood needed to fuel the ovens. A Public workshop where we have set up some of the basic tools you will need (several forges, anvils, a loom and such). The alliance - this might be your greatest resource ever. Need advice? In dire need of some assistance? The alliance probably got your back. Safety: Gated community to keep trolls out, and guardtower on deed if somehow something does finds its way in. Constantinople located in the very heart of Xanadu (K18) is looking for friendly villagers. Whether you are a seasoned player coming back to wurm or you are a brand new player, we have room for you. We are dozen active players who specialize in blacksmithing, shipbuilding, weaponsmithing, leatherworking, armorsmithing, enchanting and in farming. There is always things to do around the village but you are not required to do any chores. If you like you can participate in our business and make some coin. Through tunnels in every direction Constantinople is easily accessible by water. Our Cathedral of the Lady of the Lake. This is where we hold sermons. Priests of distant lands who come to attend our sermons rest in our inn, fish in our lake and train in our cooking school. Academy of Culinary Arts is our cooking school. with it's 3000 pan capacity you can raise your hot food cooking to 70 in minutes. We remember(!) those who left us abruptly. Real life architects planning our town. Overview of our farmlands and stables. Time travel. This is how the land was when we moved here. We had to drop 100k dirt and terraform for months etc. We still have the seal. Constantinople is built on a giant rock hill. Under the town we have endless dungeons where we stash our goods. I played years ago i think it was around 2008 and for a while in 2011. or close to the time before wild became chaos. I'm trying find safe environment to craft in but i have a deed atm. i not sure weather to move into a village or join alliance. i really think i need to interact more on wurm online or i start to lose interest in the game. my highest skill is leatherworking at 70. i got 50 or so in building skills such as digging carpentry masonry. it seems i been trying this game for years and just realizing i need to interact more and not be so isolated. i was caught up in crafting rather than fighting so much. i tried wurm unlimited for a few months on a private game and found it too quiet sept for the npcs that seemed to repeat similar messages over and over. i'm kind of quiet a lot but when i start talking to to go on and on. im looking to join a group of a few mature people that love wurm but dont think the game is more important than real life lol. i tend to spend a lot of time gaming but i think i still need make friends i can trust. i know its hard to reach out to strangers and have them do things to your settlement but i know now that this is just a game. we cant keep our places perfect even though we like to that's why they set permissions. i rambled enough. i just like a chance to try again at this community and find more friends that are active.

Hi, two F2P noobs here, looking for a village or settlement that has an RP community. We'll likely be casual in our play, only on a few hours a week. Hope that isn't a problem. We'll be RPing a young married couple set out to make a place for themselves. Her character might be interested in farming, meditation and enchanting, cooking, potion making (if that exists), thread spinning and tailor work. Mine would be interested in hunting, logging, maybe mining, building, long distance trade, any odd jobs I'm needed for. Can anyone suggest a place for us to go?

I cannot find the options for editing permissions for villagers anymore! What happened, and how can I edit perms in my village? I can't let villagers dig, harvest, build, or destroy or mine or anything. They are literally doing nothing.

Hi all, I am returning player, started to play some 5 years ago (don't remember fully), stopped few times, latest on Jan 16 and now returning back. My old deed is still intact (not claimed though), but I find it awkward to start 3rd time at the same place, also last time I stopped due to lack of company. I would like to join thriving active community. I am playing mostly nights (21:00 - 4:00) and I am in GMT +1 (CET) My char is premium and I am at some 60+ skills, see the dump with skills above 50 only: I am friendly, fluent in english and I love to adventure, hunt, chat and hang out. I gladly participate on any bigger projects and I also like to help newbies. PM here please, I will not be playing until I know where to go, as I have packed my sailship with leftover stuff and now I am waiting where to set sail to.
