^^ -------------------- Apologies but this is with the google translator: Hello all together. We are still looking for our relatively young village on this server German players, as most of us can not speak English is thereby given to mutual understanding. You can find us on the map realease under the coordinates X11, Y17, equal to Colonia Carrera. From there you would have to already recognize our name. At the moment we are 3 active and already have a few buildings and space is enough there. Logs you out at the Xardrox Casi. Or write it just in here. Would be very happy to new players.
  2. Hello, dear Wurmians. Today I've decided I should get some life to my village. I have a person in mind that would be ideal for my village, but I'll consider all that wish to join. Coordinates for my village is X13 Y6 ( http://goo.gl/ary00j ) - or D11 in the ingame map. What I'm looking from my villagers Active game play, now this means roughly that you'll be online few hours every day and that you commit to the work you are needed to do. This may sound a little more harsh than it actually is, do not panic.Enjoy casual chatting and full understanding of english, it may or may not be your native language, but if you handle it, it's all good. European, for now. I have a couple of persons playing from outside the European timezones already, so I would prefer to have someone who I would actually manage too see online. Laid back attitude, don't mind a dirty joke or puns every now and then.Steady and long-term players, what this basically means is, I want to avoid cases like, where someone looks at the village for a couple of days and feels like "Nope, not for me." and leaves without a word. I want to bond with my villagers. This might be someone, that in real life already lives on their own so they have the time to dedicate and play along and see the village grow bit by bit. What I would prefer you to have interest in, skill-wise Priesthood towards Vynora, I would love to link my alt for Mindstealer casts for example.Mining, so if you're not a priest, an "interest" in mining and keeping the rock and lump supplies filled would also be great, there is lots of iron to go around very near to the village.Farming, taking care of our fields when you see them needing raking and preferably 40+ farming for harvesting to be efficient, but leave the harvesting to me until you get there.Possibly some others as well, but these are in need just now. My time can only go so far, even with two toons. What I have to offer Relatively safe environment to play in.Mailbox, with a power of 64, but it gets the job done.Steady supply of water, food, iron and other materials. Food keeps you above 60 nutrition.Tar pit very close to the village, only a matter of tiles.Known clay spot across the desert, also accessible by boat.Relatively close hunting grounds in the desert, which is still under work to expand the desert over to the village backyard.Work and jobs to go around, from digging, to construction, to supply hunts and anything inbetween. As an example, see my Merchant ad here: http://goo.gl/QxVJeaA 3x5 pre-designed living plot in the village house street. The plot consists of 3 sections, 1x3 frontyard, 2x2 house with two tiles open on the side, 2x3 backyard. Every villager has this setup, and same design. This is because, I don't want anyone to feel like they are any less than the other, and for consistency. Houses come as a one-story building.Chance of "growing" in the village, for example by doing work and being a gentleman in general, you may be granted things such as a second floor to your building. For people with higher crafting skills and generally higher skills, I may not be able to offer much just yet, but I have a Vynora priest that just may be able to offer enchants in the future.Tools, forges, oven, and looms, if you want, can be placed in your house.A growing herd of horses, from which I can offer horses to your needs. And more, I'm sure I forgot something. Some screen shots around the village It's a big list to handle, but it's there to give you an idea of what living with me would be like, hopefully it doesn't scare everyone away. You may pm me in forums, leave a message here or send a tell me ingame, I go by the same nickname there. Regards, Lithi

  5. Roseguard: The Village of the Winds Roseguard is a village that sits nestled by the gentle warm winds of the ocean and the Highfrost winds of the mountain. Overlooked by a reconstruction of Rosehall, the village of Roseguard itself is a haven built in tiers. Wherein each tier represents one of the winds and walks of life. We built our life on the progression of passion. Your place among us can vary greatly by your passion to live and strive within the realm of Wurm. Introduction to our village will have you placed as a Dock Worker, and living on the scenic townhouses placed on our lowest tier, where you will enjoy the sounds of the waves nestling and crashing on our shoreline. From this point, your chosen career will move you to different places in the village infrastructure. [ Unfortunately due to the recent attack on Wurm I have not been able to garner photos on the reconstruction of our village. ] Shipwrights will find better accommodations on the raised platform behind the townhouses, remaining close to their work and the waves they so love to venture over. Two such residences will be provided, and built as someone rises to fulfill said position. [ Unfortunately due to the recent attack on Wurm I have not been able to garner photos on the reconstruction of our village. ] Those who look to join us as general residents, who tend to their own and just wish to play leisurely, with no primary focus will take residence on our lovely Oleander Square, located two tiers over the Docks District and just below the Guild Court. Sharing in Oleander Square is our primary Animal Care Facilitating to Bison and other Bovine Species. However, worry not, as Oleander's communities are gated off from any potential Bull Goring and from prying eyes. [ Unfortunately due to the recent attack on Wurm I have not been able to garner photos on the reconstruction of our village. ] Smiths and Tailors will find willful accommodations on the Tier encircling our Guild Court, with ample reach to our village's primary Mine, located behind the Seven Saints Cellar Inn and Tavern. Directly across from the 'Cellar' are two specialty shops, Chevasto's Loom and Jiorto's Silver Helm, dedicated to the crafts, and future home to our town's best artisans in said fields. [ Unfortunately due to the recent attack on Wurm I have not been able to garner photos on the reconstruction of our village. ] Above the Guild Court Circle is 'The Valley' currently home to our advanced housing project, the Cliffside Heights Commons. Future plans for the Heights are in hold, but they promise to be a beautiful vista overlooking the southern horizon, the Western Forested Ravine, and the Village as a Whole. Our village hosts facilities for the working man, as well as testbeds to increase the skill you currently have. Our Crafstman Hall is soon to host 4 Forges, Four Looms, and Four Ovens. Future items will be built in as necessary.
  6. so we've recently gotten the ability to plant village recruiting boards, and i'm wondering how exactly they work. my big concern is how do they recruit villagers? do they get a little box asking if they want to join and teleport? if so, which rank do they get when they join? can we change the rank to prevent joining thieves? can i write more with a higher ql sign? i've made one myself, and though it did auto-place in the world, it did not auto-plant, which is nice. if anyone has tested these out, i'd love to know how they work
  7. Hey all, I'm Dal, a new player here in the Wurm universe. I've recently discovered that I can't deed or set a spawn at places that I build since I'm a free player. I plan on subscribing eventually, but not yet, as I havn't learned enough about the game to know if it's worth it for me to pay. However, I'd really love to get to know the game and community better so I'm looking for an honest person/group of people that can accept me as a teammate and companion. I wont do anything stupid, except for probably dying a lot, as I already have. But I'd like to learn more and start to build some things, which is something I'll have a lot of trouble doing on my own, especially without a spawn point. So thanks for reading, let me know if you have an opening anywhere. See ya, Dalindir
  8. GM please close this topic as it was placed wrong. Thank you

  10. im looking for a new village that is still growing since its no fun to join an already fully structured town with nothing to do or build Pm me in game my user is DMonkey im on independence
  11. Hello, I'm an old wurm player looking for village. Can someone invite me to the village and say to me in what server is?
  12. I'll start with criticism, remember i don't want to insult anybody this is just my point of view. PROBLEMS: Despite the potential of game and the possiblities it offers, servers i've seen are like big ghost towns, Maybe i will give some examples: We have tons of houses with beds that stays empty and owner use them for hour per week - but finding a bed for rent is like win in lottery. We have maaany ports and ships built - but no organized naval transport. The devs give us possibility of using carts for transport - but there is no possibility to transport your goods from point A to B, other than pulling your cart by yourself. ( transport service is perfectly possible with game engine but still nobody offers it) Allmost all settlements have access to mine - but there is no chance you could buy iron from them. There is tons of farms but still its almost impossible to buy food anywhere. There are many skilled players who working together would create marvelous items, but since trade is rare and settlements are sooo dispersed (and sparsly inhabited) the chance you meet somone helpfull are small This situation is basically against any economic rules - its just waste of space resources and time. Despite of tons developed settlements each and every new player start as poor beggar and has to walk the same boring path as everyone else before in aim to be self-sufficient (which is imho to large extent waste of time). If you don't belong to settlement there is no way you can interact with them - this makes gameworld one big uncivlised graveyard. What is the point of creating a new settlement which does exactly the same thing as every settlement before it? The things would SOOOO much easier especially for new players if there would be some real trade. Why all the settlements are closed enclaves which doesn't provide outside world with any usefull goods or services? I don't know the answer maybe the rest of players like that situation - not me. SOLUTION So i propose an idea to solve it: "Open Economy Project" The aim of project is to create a set of basic services for all players of Desortion server. Something that will resemble real medieval economy. Our aim is not to build new things but use modified existing infrastructure to provide services. Transporting network - renting a carts and boats, for travelling from post/port A to post/port B. Mines - with all needed eqipment to start mining, well lit and eventually guarded. Charcal stations - for fueling blacksmiths Workshops and blacksmiths - for basic tool creation. Inns - with beds for rent an kitchens for hungry travellers, The locations of all of those will be known to everyone even to raiders (they also form player community). All elements of OEP will be connected by trade network and will exchange goods between them (thats the point). Every player will be able to: buy goods from OEP for fair price or get them as reward for work some of OEP venture or just take them for free if the good is not that valuable The aim of project its to provide player community with the greatest amount of goods and tools using the minimal possible amount of resources and buildings. Well i will start with mine as I think it will be the most useful for new players If anybody is interested in helping the project pm me: my ingame nick is Petre. I will report about the progress (if there will be any) in this thread.
  13. Hi all, Anybody recruiting? Recently moved to the epic cluster, in Desertion.. I'm currently looking to be part of a town/village Coming from Release, I'm not new to the game, just to the pvp part... Anybody in Desertion, or MR controlled Elevation recruiting please pm in game to (Dragoromir)
  14. A friend and I have started a village not far north of Glittershore. We are now looking for a few new (or not so new) players to join us and help us create a nice place to live. We haven't yet formally created the settlement, but we are hard at work to create the necessary buildings and objects to make the village monster-free and safe. But don't worry, we have guards so the monsters wouldn't get too close. We have an iron mine for mining and smithing, and there is a gold mine nearby. We're also located very close to spawning places for a lot of monsters, so hunting is an option. Lastly, we're right next to the ocean with a large harbor area in development, so once we finish our fleet there will be easy access to basically every location on Epic. For more information, if you have questions, or if you want to come visit, don't hesitate to send me a message.
  15. The coastal village of Tranquility Bay recruits up to 5 somewhat active citizens. What do I gain from joining? That's a great question. After joining you'll get: - nice place to stay including a soft bed and warm breakfast. - chest to store your stuff. - friendly allies to chat (they're great people, seriously). - materials and help with the projects you might have. WOW! It's a great offer, where do I sign? I understand your anxiety to join but listen to me just one more second. To apply as a citizen you should follow two not-so-strict rules: 1) You should appear ingame at least two times a week (seriously disappering for a month without telling anyone is rude). 2) You should help keep the village running, including farming, grooming, repairing and such. I'm your man, where's the office? The village is located at x44 y22 (E2, if you prefer FPF notation).
  16. Hi all, I'm looking to join a small village or someone who is thinking of starting a small village soon. I play kind of a hermit character so I'd like to stay away from the larger recruiters. Thanks
  17. Greetings I am a experienced player of wurm, but it's been awhile since I last played. I am looking for a nice village to join, where I can build my own little cottage.
  18. Welcome to Silgus! After living here for about 2 years, i decided that it's time to make a change. A change with new people, new stories, new friends. So if you're looking for a place to settle down .. hook me up! Where is Silgus? Silgus is very close to Esert (just a few minutes) and very close to the sea where a friendly deed with harbour is. We are part of a big alliance called Freedom and Cheese so you got a lot of deeds and nice players around. Here is a part of the map to show the deed position (The yellow deed names are part of the alliance): What does Silgus offer? Silgus is a decent large deed with a size of 45x65 wich is (almost) entirly flat. That means no terraforming work is required. We got a mine ondeed where you can find rock, iron (up to ql 90) and copper. Hopefully we will find some more ressources Very close to the sea, so travelling by ship is no problem. You will have access to the farmhouse where you can find bulk ressources like cotton, whemp or food ingredients. (Fair use of course ) 52ql meals will be cooked daily and can be found in the oven at the farm house You can farm our fields to gain skill. We don't have a spirit templar, but a guard tower ondeed. So you might find some creatures ondeed but you can always call out for help, if needed. What Silgus expects of you You are very friendly and very tolerant You are willing to use the wurmwiki If you're building a house, i will need the writ of it You're planning to play wurm for a longer time You already have played wurm for some time to know at least the basics Love playing wurm :-) Impressions For a few impressions of Silgus check out the following link with some pictures (some are older, some are newer), including a Rite of Spring event we hosted earlier this year: http://sdrv.ms/16L2ZDo Currently we are looking for like 5-6 playeres. Free Spots 0 / 6 Joining the village If you'd like to join Silgus, just post here, send me a pm or hook me up ingame name: Syleth

  21. About us: Once we first joint Wurm we didn't know where on earth to start. Starting out by yourself, building a house to keep safe, whilst trying to do that, run away from monsters, then worry about food, water, trying to find cotton..and of course the many other things to go with it. We finally found a village to stay and the people who owned it were incredibly friendly, offered pretty good QL armor, weapons, meals, helped us build our very own house and helped raise most of our skills. We soon became village elders and ran the place ourselves. Unfortunately, the village got abandoned. We then decided to head off to find our own place where to stay, came across a place close to sea and main sources, which we would need. Plus it was surrounded by dozens of unicorns.. We then deeded the area and started to civilize it. After building the basics we thought about recruiting a handful of people to help out with the village and help them out too, just like we had offered to us. So far our deed is yet to be finished and generally make it look better, so there may be future plans with structures. Currently building the community housing, this will be finished soon and will be fully furnished for players. What we're looking for: Ideally this would be for experienced players. Please be aware as it's a small village only a few may join. We're looking for people who just want to chill, get on with their crafting and getting skills up, training up to go elevation and of course, help maintain the deed. (for experienced players who are ready to go to elevation, you're free to join and use the village as a pit stop to make your boat and head off from there). What Waters Edge can offer to you: Safe deed. (Deed is all blocked off by tall walls).Community housing.Community farm.Community mine.Community forge shop.Easy access for fishing.Located nearby sand, clay and peat.Free meals.Easy to build a boat. (as we're right near the sea and offers more protection as it will be docked on deeded land).Always have healing supplies.Supplied with basic weapons and armor.Regular hunting trips. (For supplies, skill gain or just for the heck of it).Live near a forest area. (never gonna run out of wood to make that boat).Deed guards.Small animal keeping area. (gain animal husbandry skill and keep your own animals in there). Part of a large alliance. Interested? If so, please message either me, Mclovin or Teal. I'm hardly online at the moment, so it would be best to message Teal. Happy Wurming. Mclovin
  22. Recruitment Rivendell is looking for new premium account players that have recently joined the game. Rivendell is a trading village so your job will be to for fill customer orders. Unlike most villages you will be paid for what you make, all Rivendell asks for is a 20% tax which goes towards upkeep and maintenance, there will also be a village economy where you will be able to spend your wages on food weapons tools etc. There will be space to build your own house but there are to ways on how to do it 1st choice is to rent the space eg you want a 3x4 area so 12 tiles x rent per month but you would not own it and Rivendell keeps the writ. 2nd choice is to buy so again 3x4 area 12 x cost of tile plus rent ( council tax lets call it) but this way you keep the writ. I'm doing it this way because some people might want big houses but tiles cost money on a deed and space is costly , also gives the village a real estate economy where people can buy and sell there houses. If you like the sound of this please message me we need lots of hard honest working people to help grow our village to have thriving economy and most of all to make friends and have fun. What you will need to achieve before you earn your citizenship Ranks Miner : mine 1k rock shards & 60 iron ore ( reward x1 stone chisel) Mason : make 1k stone bricks Lumber jack : chop up 100 logs Carpenter : make 100 planks 100 shafts Black smith : make 50 large & 50 small nails Fine carpenter : make large cart Tera former: dig 1k dirt Citizen : collect your free armour chain set sword and shield The stone bricks will go to the village as we only sell 30ql + Congratulations you are now a citizen of Rivendell. You are now free to take what ever career path you choose wether that be a warrior , powerful priest, black smith, or farmer the choice is yours. Rivendell Rules Rivendell business should never be discussed outside the village. No privet bulk deals will be set up unless asked to No bullying of any kind in or outside the walls of Rivendell, if you have a problem with some one please tell me so we can deal with it professionally. Theft is the upmost crime and will not be tolerated, the offender will be KOS on many deeds. The most important rule have fun look out for each other and be proud of Rivendell . Regards Mayor Swistony
  23. Recruitment is currently closed due to me personally not having all that much time for the deed (RL is to blame,) although if you're interested in having somewhere on the West Coast to hermit up then I'd still be happy to help. Join us on IRC with #Captains (I'm on IRC all the time but am often afk. Feel free to leave a message as I'll see it.) I'm opening recruitment for my deed, A Captain's Hideaway. I remember the days when I first started playing Wurm and some of the earlier villages I was at - we had a great time socially. However, since going solo on my own deed, I've been lonely! Seeing as a lot of the deed's ground work has now been done (50%-ish) I feel it's the right time to start to build up another great village. The deed is placed on the west coast in a calm part of the server (8x 34y.) Local resources include lots of on-deed iron in an ever-expanding mine, clay a short hop across the bay, and the vast forests of Deliverance on the deed's doorstep. The deed is currently 31x31 in size but is in no way land-locked and could easily expand a lot more as more players join the deed. The deed also has a "fleet" of horses at your disposal for carts and trips, an expanding herd of cows for omnoms, and a village sailboat you're welcome to use for whatever trip you may need to take. And did I mention upto 70ql meals cooked for you too? In terms of villagers, I am very open in what I look for. I'd rather have players with at least a few months under their belt around the deed - it simply isn't cut out to support swathes of relatively new players and I'd rather that newbies went somewhere more specialist - however, for more experienced players whether you've got years under your belt or are just starting to get a good feel for the game, then Captain's is undeniably the right place for you. I know what it's like to live under a repressive, restrictive, inactive mayor - it sucks - as such, I'll do my best to be the exact opposite of those adjectives, so you can get on with enjoying the game you enjoy in an environment where someone else is doing their best to make the game as great for you as possible! I don't mind what skills you have or want to train. If turning over a load of empty space into farmland to toil away at floats your boat, then sir, float your boat you may! I could list every other possibility in Wurm and how I'll let you do it within reason, but then I'd be here all day... in terms of timezones, I'm GMT and can usually play at least a few hours a day, usually enough to catch most other timezones including US ones online at some point. More about myself (funfunfun!) - I'm mainly a carpenter/terraformer/mason/fighting kinda Wurmian, but also have a 70+ faith mag priest and an (almost) 60+ faith vyn priest. Enchanted grass is available on the house, as well as some enchants. In general, I like to have a balanced set of skills - as such, so does/will the deed - everything can be accommodated. I've played Wurm for a year and a half and don't plan to go anywhere anytime soon, so joining the deed is "safe" so to speak! More experienced players generally prefer to do their own thing - here, you can! In terms of housing, as above, I aim to be accommodating. There is no real minimum or maximum as to how much space you can have for housing and projects, it simply has to work with the land that's available. I'm happy to expand the deed if necessary too - there is plenty of space to, I simply haven't bothered due to me being the only player at the deed for a while. Only village rule: be mature. That means don't aggro your peers or go 110% HotS just because someone left something shiny on the floor that you might like for yourself! Any villager is welcome to help as much or as little as they want to on village projects. Uniquely, you're also more than welcome to contribute ideas and changes too - my mind can only stretch so far, I'd love to get some input from others about things to tweak and add to make the deed better. And lastly, a word about the deed's status. It is almost fully terraformed and there are many projects under way. These include: - A 150 tile boat cave ("sailboat garage") - Ongoing construction work to build a range of main buildings - Ongoing work to make the deed prettier, with trees, decorations etc. So, if you're interested in the village, feel free to PM me if you have any questions or want to know more about joining. I also lie when I say that I'm the only person at the deed - I did have 2 villagers, but due to RL issues they haven't been around much. Kinda related - if you're coming back to Wurm after a break and want somewhere to give the game another go then I'm happy to take the risk and let you try it out again here. To finish, some pics: Looking at the deed from the south - much of the mountain to the right of this pic is also part of it. Everything else in the near shot is the deed too. The main square One half of the village workshop Main pier and much of the deed's open space Thanks for looking through the thread!
