  1. A friend and I were joking around about me finally being able to apply to the "wurm elite" / "veterans" club since I've finally gotten my first 90 skill in leatherworking, but the discussion got me thinking and I thought it might be fun to hear back from the community, so this is my question to anyone wanting to offer their two cents: What are the must-have qualities a player should have before you would consider them a "veteran"? It's all a subjective opinion, but I thought it might be fun to try to quantify it.
  2. Storm's End is a 51x35 village located close to the northern shore of Crystal Lake on Independence. I've recently returned from hiatus and expanded the deed to continue projects on site. Storm's End is a member of the Storm Lands alliance, which also includes neighboring deeds; Yoggster's Patch Returns, An Unusual Place, Haven (the Hunting Lodge deed in the Grand Steppe), and Fafnir. The local area around Storm's End is fairly quiet, except for the alliance members. We have space for a few new villagers if anyone is interested in settling down in a new neighborhood. We'd prefer experienced players to apply, however we don't discriminate against the newbs either! If you'd like a nice village to settle into and hone your skills or work on projects then Storm's End is a good fit for you. We have a rare guard tower, a mailbox, an extensive mine and close access to the waterfront. Leave a comment here or pm me if you're interested in joining. Have a blessed day!
  3. When playing a game the fastest way for me to lose the motivation for it is to cheat. Opening the console and turning on godmode or giving me money is fun for a while but soon you realise there's no more challenge and you quit the game. Now Wurm is an extreme game. Everything is so hard to achieve that once you've done it you really feel pride in your achievements. And since I know how much time and dedication it took to finally be able to f.e. craft a 90Ql pickaxe and enchant it with a solid WoA 90 I rather not sell it at all than to underprize it. Now here are a few hypotheses: 1. A player who buys a high level account doesn't cherish the work needed to get it to where it is. 1.1. Therefore he/she is more likely to undercut the prizes on the market. 1.2. The market is flooded with good gear at low prizes forcing the other players to a) undercut as well or stop trying to sell anything. ---> Allowing to sell accounts hurts the economy dramatically. 2. A player who buys an account buys its reputation as well. 2.1. Other players might not know the account had been sold and trust the good reputation. 2.2. The new owner might not be so kindhearted and trustworthy as the reputation of the account make him/her seem. ---> Allowing to sell accounts opens the door for mischief, trolling and grieving. 3. A player who buys a high level account can do all the things that need higher skills immediately. 3.1. He/She doesn't get the feeling of accomplishment like the others after finishing a project. 3.2. He/She is bored of the game faster and is more likely to a) leave the game and/or sell the account again. 3.3 Veteran accounts don't "die out" making room for newer ones. ---> Allowing to sell accounts hurts the player count in the long run. Of course these hypotheses don't apply to every person who buys/bought an account! What do you think? Please discuss!

  5. Hello fellow Wurm players! I decided to return to Wurm after a long break and I just now tried to recover the password of my Wurm character called ''djassist'' (My second account). Apparently there is no character called ''djassist'' and I'm 100% certain this was his name. This happened to my main character aswell two years ago; it was removed and GM's couldn't even find a single trace of him, so I had to start over all again . My secondary account djassist was indeed premium and thus shouldn't be removed, so I'm wondering; what happened? EDIT: The name is even saved in my login screen together with my two other characters.
  6. Hello folks, im Selva, i'm 22, i started playing Wurm Online since the end of July. One week after i've started playing, i met some good guys who were recruiting ppl to their villages. However, all the 5 villagers, including the mayor and co-mayor, went away at the beginning of August, moren than 2 away months now. So , im alone, in a ghost deed, with lots of buildings locked and about to get off deed, since the upkeep money is almost gone. Why i dont put more money at the deed's bank?! Well, im almost sure they will not come back, unfortunelly, and i have no interest in feeding a ghost deed which i wouldn't have, at least, the minimum control of even my house. So, cut to the point, im looking for a new deed at Celebration, who has a nice place, decent people and recruit me as a free villager, not a slave or a second class citizen. -My location is near TapDance -Not premium at the moment, but, obviously i have plans to be -Have some stuff that might help the recruiter, if not a super advanced wealthy deed. - I'm a good villager, you can check about me with the players : Reyaa, Pepeford, Hooter, Harvest, Feasd pr Maiya.
