  1. It would be really nice if we could have a boat trailer this would allow us who are not connected to the ocean to pick our boats up and bring them to the ocean or lake. We can also deliver boats via roads. Or we could do it like the vikings using logs to move our boats over land for example it would take: 200 wheels 495 pegs 35 felled trees 2 seats 8 mooring rope 23 rope 14 thick rope 4 yoke ------------------------- speed with out animals 0.70 -1.20 km/h and with animals 5 km/h ------------------------- 30 body strength 27.80 Mind Logic ------------------------- animals, you can hitch up to 4 "4 animals will give you a top speed of 4-5 km/h" with animals you can go up a 20-25 slope but it will be slower so 4 animal + 25 slope = 1.02 km/h and with out animals you can only pass a 5-12 slope.
  2. Hi guys, I'm wondering what is the best way to build a Corbita on deed without running in danger to have the boat finished by somebody else. The 2 options I'm seeing, is a fenced-in area or a boat house. The "build in secure cart" was disabled before 1.0 at least for larger boats if I'm right? For a house - does a Corbita pass through double doors and are there any skill requirements for push / drag? And would a 2 level house suffice or would the mast peek through the roof? Thanks in advance. Magnir
  3. Hello, I would like ´to suggest that boats need a navigational skill to drive straight ... u can still drive all boats without any skill but will go of course easily. Skillpoints go up while driving boats so someone who drives a lot of boats has a high navigational skill. Diffrent ships would need a diffrent navigational skill to drive streight so maybe row boats drive streight streight away and small sailboats with 10 skill and corbita with 20 ... There could also be an arrow shown at a certain skill lvl to show u the direction of the wind and its strength
  4. I have 9 3 sail boats that are 1 peg away from being finished I'm selling for 1.5s each. You can choose your wood type. All of them come with a lock and mooring anchor. I can improve them to 50 QL when you make your order, otherwise they will be about 20-30 QL. Pick up at Magnus Tere on Exodus (x45 y10) or can be delivered for an extra fee. On Exodus, 10c for the north and east coasts, 20c for the west and south coasts. Celebration or Deliverance are 30c extra. No delivery to Independence or Chaos. The wood types can be seen at: http://wurmpedia.com...ding#Wood_types NEW: Also have a row boat ready for 50c, same deal as the sail boats. Thanks for your interest!

  6. As of right now, Rafts are used as the intermediate method of transporting items. Creating 100 rafts to make a ship somewhat worthy of being a transport vessel is tedious. To make matters worse, There is practically no difference between a Corbita, Knarr, or Caravel as far as transportation abilities. For ships of this size and difficulty to build, the transportation abilities should be a better reward as you go up. Suggestion: Cargo Containers. Basically they would function as a floating BSB. Larger ships allow more containers within. For simplicity of coding, I suggest to allow 2 types of containers to be built: Cargo Container and Food Container. Back-end code wise, they use the exact same storage logic as a BSB and a FSB respectivly. As far as adding to ships, Rather than trying to figure out how to allow BSBs to function within another container, make it a right click option. Select the container, right click ship, select "install _______". To access said container: right click ship, select "Cargo container 2" enjoy your floating BSB. Now for the separate ship types: Being personal use boats, they do not allow additions of cargo containers As a farm ship with plenty of room and a sealed under-hold to keep crops safe from the sea. The corbita can have 2 FCs With it's sturdier frame and large holds within, a cog can hold 2 CCs The Knarr is primarily a looting vessel but also is used for long voyages away from home. It can fit up to 3CCs and 2FCs. The Caravel is the King of the seas. A massive merchant ship can hold up to 4 CCs and 4 FCs, worthy of any fleet. Those are my starting suggestions for this idea. 9. Sometimes in shallow water it's necessary to dredge a channel for large ships. Usually the channel is visible, but on lower graphics settings it can be hard to spot. Combined with high winds, this can lead to ships running aground. Suggestion: Small barrel + mooring anchor = Buoy. Planted on underwater tiles as a marker Can be painted Can be named at 1 character per ql, as with small signs Same planting rules as signs (1 per Wurm week) to prevent spamming Could maybe be upgraded to a Flagged Buoy with the addition of a cotton sheet and a shaft.
  10. Question about loading ships properly for maximum load capability. you have to make rafts and put them in the hold like a shelving system? how many rafts does it hold? planning on starting a corbita soon. thanks!
