Brotherhood of Steel (yes a fallout reference) is looking for players, someone who knows the game but still runs in fear from a spider or troll. the deed has many open lots and still under construction on the whole south side. there is 4 iron veins, 2 lead veins on deed, copper in the distance. come by D15 and check it out or message me on forums for more info. i also do not ask for coin, feal free to make a profit while here. if a business partner u seek then i am here. i currently have a low vyn priest, 1 vyn battery follower, 2 nahjo followers , and a main atm. yes they are all new characters but i have played before. i will be training/grinding steel products. usually online anywhere between noon-midnight EST if interested pm me here or in-game. I never had villagers in past but i know its better in numbers. well at-least now i do. i also just made a mountain top event center. the view is OMG and thought it would be perfect. i have yet to break ground there and still planning it out. if anyone is interested in joining please contact me anyway possible. still under construction, hard to see behind the trees up top but many lots available (currently 40x60)

I'm currently located in g13 on xanadu, and would prefer a settlement close to me. I am a active, social player, and i will be able to use teamskype, skype etc. My IGN is arteezy.

  5. Lurker in the Streets would be a spell that ONLY works on PvE servers. It can function 3 different ways: 1. When cast on a pendulum, it gives you messages that indicate how far away from any settlements you are. This is the idea use for those wanting to find a place far away from anyone else. 2. When cast on the ground, it reveals names of settlements within the nearby area (~100 tile radius). 3. When cast on one of the celestial bodies, you get a pop-up text box, where you can enter a settlement name, then a small dark cloud appears over that settlement (think Legend of the Seeker). Cloud lasts for 1 hour and is only visible to you. Don't want hundreds of little clouds everywhere... Yep yep, I know - we may not want our secrecy revealed! I have seen the requests to have all deeds on the map and agree. We have a right to our privacy, so in deed settings, we get a new option to ENABLE our deed to be found. This option is off by default, so anyone that is on vacation when this new spell is added won't get mad. However, For spell use #1 (pendulum), the deed option makes no difference. Your pendulum doesn't reveal deed names, only if there is one near. I think it should be a simple spell to cast and not require a ton of favor. Also think it would be nice for all priests. Does this make travel too easy? I am inclined to say no. I think it just offers a nice assist, when traveling to see our friends, or to help make trades go a little smoother. Or simply because you are lost and have absolutely no idea where to go it happens to us all, right?
  6. I've been toying with the idea of setting up a small village for new players. But I'm not quite sure what all is involved. I would imagine you'd need public spaces for crafting, farming, animal pens etc. for folks to work on their skills. Housing also. But do you provide pre-built houses or let players build themselves? What is suitable size for a plot? Supply tools to citizens? I'm sure a lot of this is personal preference as to how you'd like to run your village, but was just wondering what others have done, suggestions etc. Also, how do I make this a viable project? At least self-sufficient enough to support itself and maybe make some profit if possible. I'd appreciate your thoughts and opinions!
  7. [16:39:25] [name] may not change village until 23 hours and 59 minutes has elapsed. This is the error I get when trying to give a settlement paper to a new villager. They are NOT changing village, simply becoming the mayor. This is a bummer when selling deeds. I did a /vinvite to get the buyer to my deed, then went to hand them the papers and found we are stuck waiting 24 hours now, to complete the trade. Not a massive problem, but an annoyance that doesn't make much sense.
  8. I am auctioning my deed for personal reasons, there are no land conflicts or expansion problems. It's a lovely deed, 1600 hours has gone into it, the land was unwanted before i moved here a mere 10 months ago. I do not mind this not selling, if it doesn't ile simply log in once a month to milk the trader and maintain the deeds coffers. Spent a week preparing to make this auction, i apologise if there are too many images, the alternative would have been a video, please, come have a viewing before you decide on purchasing. 90% of the deed is accessible to the public so my presence isn't `necessary` but send me a pm and i'll be happy to login.   9. New Price: 70s or nearest offer. As a result of absence and the lack of time, we have decided to sell our beloved land, just 15 minutes walk from Freedom Market. For more than a year, we expanded, terraformed and converted the slopey mountain-side to land that could handle anything we threw at it. With large parts of the settlement situated on both sides of the Great South Mountain highway, transport is as smooth as butter. Plattekloof boasts a central gated entrance with high walls, storage galore, live stock areas, stables, paved roads to every core area and a road in almost every direction of travel. We also have direct access to a road one of our citizens built (a massive 8 month project) down to Freedom Docks. It would behoove you to come have a look, even when we are away, but for the sake of understanding, this is some of the things Plattekloof will be sold with: Everything that is alive at the time of sale, horses, etc. All items and bins and their contents (months of hoarding). Several enclosed yards/areas, mostly with their own structure and writs. A well planned, maintained mine that run in a single tunnel with main chambers off the sides. A second, unmaintained mine in the eastern hills. All signs, roads, gates, locks, etc Access to a guard tower less than 10 tiles off the northern limit. In effort, love and a lot of planning, this settlement is worth far more than 300 silver to us, but since that is not a reasonable selling price, we await your offers. If we cannot meet a fair price, we will unfortunately not be able to sell, and will hold the land until further notice. Are we moving to Xanadu you may ask? Probably not, probably never. SunSerpent Oasis This is a huge settlement with a lot of great ideas to how it should be developed. there is currently a lot of work to be done, This is a city for both experienced and new players. Ideas and creativity is what makes this game what it is, so we welcome those as much as possible. You never know when someone has a great idea about something.   11. Chaos is unfriendly to newcomers and if they wish to settle down they will most likely need to join one of the few existing kingdoms by running out in the wild and never to return. There are hermits but hermits can’t be neighbours or live nearby because they'll be revealed by everyone. I want Freedom Isle to have a foothold in Chaos with an option to be attackable and buildable settlement. I suggest opening up a test settlement (Hunter’s Lodge) for premium and freebie players to build within this settlement. Also the first and only settlement that is possible to be attacked and upkeep-ed by the game itself. Players should be able to build, prosper and defend against other foes. A certain restriction of how large anyone can build must take place and other restrictions regarding what can be changed and what not. How to join Hunter’s Lodge: - Right click on the village board and click “Useâ€, window opens up and asks you if you wish to be a part of the Hunter’s Lodge and some further agreement on how to use the settlement agreement. Once you’ve done that you’ll be able to see Village chat and gain ability to build and remove things in the village, except the existing buildings like the Church, Tavern, Portal and so forth! Problems: What if someone starts building in this settlement and never return back? - His buildings and items will be destroyed by the GM after 15 days. The amount of guards, spirits and players is just too much. Maybe balance it out? - Amount of guards will shrink through time to a normal settlement level; the more players who choose to build and live actively in Hunter’s Lodge the faster rate of disappearance of guards will be stationed in Hunter’s Lodge. What if Hunter’s Lodge gets attacked and no one is there to defend it? - Until then, there will be few players to defend it. Not many, but surely some and when the walls are down the repairing that needs to be done comes from the villagers themselves. Villagers cannot remove gates or walls. What if other Kingdoms find this idea threating to their increase of memberships? - Other kingdoms have ways to make their Kingdoms more exciting, interesting and competitive while Freedom Isle's (Hunger's Lodge) does not. Hunter's Lodge does have access to local mines and some inland lake but that's really it. It's meant for starters and defenders only. Other Kingdoms use Hunter's Lodge as a spawn point for alts and visitors, are you aware of that? - Yes and they can still use it as they've done before. As long as they walk bit further into the woods... ;-)So what does the players of Chaos think about this? Pro's & Cons? /// Easter
  12. THis has likely been discussed before, but I would love to allow my settlement forms and writs transfer between servers. I once lost a deed on another server, because I forgot how much time I had in upkeep and returned just a little too late to feed the meter. It is also a huge pain to have to travel multiple hours, just to reach a server, to enable permissions, etc, then head home to your main server. The current model almost makes it a requirement to just leave a deed holder on each server, rather than having a single character with deeds on different servers. I have no issues putting my papers in separate satchels to keep them sorted.

  17. I have a suggestion about the deed cost and upkeep for it. I have found that there is a minimum upkeep cost of 1s. Now that being said when you buy a deed form it cost 10s but you can only use 7s of it for the deed size itself while the other 3s are held back for upkeep which is all well and good except the 7s is not enough to make your deed large enough to reach the minimum upkeep cost of the 1s the best you can do is a deed size 8x9 and the upkeep comes out to 64c so you are wasting 36c a month. and the closest you can get to the minimum upkeep without going over is 11x10 costing 9s66c. which means to max out your deed to your minimum upkeep cost means you will have to spend an extra 2s66c. So i have come up with the following suggestions. 1. Remove the minimum upkeep cost altogether let people make a village whatever size they wish without being penalized for not reaching the min upkeep cost. 2. Or adjust the cost per tile to found a deed so that with the 7s from the deed form cost will come out to the 1s upkeep cost.

For sale: Dark spire deed, (formerly Newport) map location o.24 on ingame pristine map (coastal) Big on-deed mines with: multiple iron vains, 1 poor, acceptable, good, and Very good, Traced flint and silver but not yet found. Neighbours either side have quit houses slowly Taking damage, both have mines of which 1 has good silver other is also iron (acceptable & utmost. My Deed is : 21 by 29 + 5 Perimiter +1 Spirit Templar,(pristine).(5.60s in coffers ) Upon perchasing Darkspire u inherit all furniture/ animals (multiple deer, horse's, 1 bull). Note: This area is heavy forrest and costal and is currently part of the southern reach alliance there are other deed's about and it will only be sold to someone Respectable to other players who live in the area. The reason for the sale: Am personally looking for a place more inland that can provide more mining and trade rougts this deed would suit some 1 with a desire of farming and ship building who likes woodwork or breeding. 15 silver price. (or trade 5s + settlement form) - Theranger.

Hi, i dont know where to ask else so: If i want to found a settlement, ive to buy Premium and i need 10s to found it. so, first: it is enough to buy 2 month prem for 16€ and 10s for 16€ so a settlement creation ll cost 32€? or re there any hide costs? and the wiki says if i buy a settlement form it will take 3s to the bank, 7s to claim land and if i dont claim for 7s the rest ll go to banl too? last but not least: if i found a village with 144tiles (and 313 tile borders) it ll cost about 4,5s to create and 45c to hold it, right? thank u for helping me
  21. So I'm in an area with plenty of other deeds around us and a main road 2 tiles wide. There isn't many spots left in that area and I found one that I liked. The only problem was that it's on the other side of the road from a settlement whose deed and perimeter extends past the road onto my side. His actual deed extends 1 tile past the road and then you have the 5 perimeter tiles after that, which is now a total of 6 tiles past the road. I put my token down in the area and with the 5 perimeter tiles, we're now talking about my deed starting 11 tiles past the main road. The reason why his actual deed extends 1 tile past the road is that on the other side of his deed, it covers his docks. If he shrinks his deed down by 1 on the North/South line, his dock isn't protected. I tried to create my deed with 0 perimeter tiles so that my deed goes up to 6 tiles within the road but it wouldn't let me. It fixed the perimeter tiles with a 5 minimum. Here's my suggestions: Allow us to have 0 perimeter tiles. Default to 5 is fine but allow us to fine tune it below that all the way to 0. In close knit communities with multiple deeds, this would be nice to have. Allow us to have separate tile control for all directions. Instead of a single number that controls NS and another number for EW, I'd like a separate number for each direction. The token doesn't always have to be the center of the settlement. I already had to disband and re-deed because I didn't like the coverage on the south side and I couldn't expand north anymore. I also re-deeded because my perimeter was on the edge of my new neighbors and they're planning to deed up their area that's already built so if they did, part of their area won't be protected by the deed unless I moved.

  23. Hey i'm just getting back into Wurm, its been 6+ months since i've played because i've had a busy year but I think i'm ready to play again. I'm just looking for a deed, settlement or even just a home to work with a small or large group of people in this great game i'm willing to play on every PVE server but I may try PVP but I have never played on a PVP. Anyway i'm not to picky just looking for a more casual, easygoing group to join. Hoping for lots of replys! PS. I've never gone premuim so i will have basic skills. If i find a group that sticks I'm willing to go Prem.
  24. Settlement upkeep is based on a 30 day month, correct? Then why is my token showing only 28 days when there is more than enough to cover 30 days? SEE IMAGE BELOW
