  1. My suggestion is when a player loads the game launcher, that instead of having a population of xx is online, to have each server listed individually. Also, this applies the forums and the main site. Same difference for example applies that we don't have Freedom cluster xx people online, each server is listed individually. The same list should apply to epic servers.
  2. Anyone able to make a mod that works with Ago's Launcher or that is easy to install, that Will show how many players are on the server in total. For example, Instead of just showing how many are on the Login server like Steam Does, Force it to check how many On all Maps connected to that one server?
  3. So I'm an explorer. I love to visit new places on the server and see new villages. And I understand that exploring isn't without its risks. That's why I have a set of 50QL studded armor, a 50QL longsword, and a 40QL medium metal shield. I also have horses to help me get around (and stay alive). And yes, I also bring lots and lots of cotton. It has saved my life a few times after taking on some mobs like Wolves. I'm originally on Indy, but I would love to explore the roads of other servers. Sadly, knowing animals can't go cross-server with you, it makes it too risky to explore other servers on foot. I have barely any fight skill, but I am slowly working on it. What is an explorer to do, without spending tons of money creating alts and having each of them found a deed on every server and buy a horse for me?
  4. Player Diety works fine on the server the key of the heavens was used on. It required a restart for the spell list to appear. However it did not transfer to the connected servers.

  6. Both Mol Rehan and HotS have tried on my server to pass king off to another person, because the king wanted to champ up. They gave the crown and the new person equiped it, but the king did not transfer.

  8. Okay. This problem has vexed me for 2 days now and I'm at my wits end, so hopefully someone can come up with some ideas I haven't tried yet. I got the game 4 days ago, set up my server on my computer and played just fine, that evening I find my friends can't see my server soooooo..... I set up my pc with a static IP on my internal (router) network reserved the ip through the router forwarded the ports: 3724 (TCP), 8766(TCP/UDP), 27016-27030(UDP) Set external IP address to static router address I logged onto my server and my friends joined me and we all had a merry time.... NEXT DAY Network connection denied, Server refused connection. My friends could log into the server, but I could not. (it's on my computer!) --Restarted, reinstalled steam, restarted network, disabled firewall, restarted modem and router -- restarted again - restarted modem and router again- uninstalled Wurm and reinstalled Wurm --- *FIXED! We all log on and have a great time. THIS MORNING Network connection denied, Server refused connection. Switched to my virtualbox host-only Network -- worked just fine. This evening- switched back to static ip-- rejected. uninstalled and reinstalled --rejected -- oh yes, my friends can still get on. -- Checked network traffic, the client is getting out of the firewall. Specs: Windows 7 64bit, ISP Time Warner, router: Netgear WGR614V7 Firewall: Webroot I have full administrator rights on the pc and can access games on other servers, just not my own. My computer loves me, please someone save me before I crack. - Thanks!

I have a server which I power down between play sessions, but I sometimes want to fast forward time so trees grow, animals age & move & spawn, junk decays, crops grow, new seasons start, etc, etc, etc. I could use a lot of mods to do everything separatly, but what I really want: SERVER > Fast Forward 1 Real Life Week .. Server goes crazy for 2 real hours < Server fast forwarded This could be at server startup using a config setting, nobody will be logged in during this time. Bonus points if the server shuts down afterwards.
  10. Is there a way to change this without modifying the server.jar? Like is there a config option in any of the files or something? We can't find the setting for it anywhere and we'd prefer not to modify the server files in any way. from com.wurmonline.server.statistics.ChallengeSummary.class private static final String rootdir = "/var/www/challenge/"; We'd like to have the challenge stats not saved to that location as the web server is not located there, or is this feature meant only for administrators? Any help or input from Code Club AB would be appreciated. If this is not the place for this discussion I understand but I didn't think it related to modding as it's something already in the game.

Hello All, I'm currently attempting to configure a way to inject the commandline/startup variables directly into the JVM instead of opening the Serverlauncher.exe when hosting a Wurm unlimited server, I was wondering what .jar file(s) I would need to tell the JVM to load/start from in order to make this happen, if it is feasible. If it's not as simple as -d64 -server -jar C:\\directorytomygame.jar Xmx 123 Xms 135 etc etc, how would I go about doing this?   12. Hi My server has been running fine for a couple of days, and my friend and I was online quite a bit yesterday. I logged off, went to bed, all seemed fine this morning, the server app was still running, but the server was no longer in the server list. when I try to start it again now, I get a long Java error   13. Starting this evening we are running our login server which will eventually act as the gateway to our cluster. Amber Coast Size: 16sq. km, 1024*1024 or the size of the old Golden valley for those that remember. Playstyle: PvE. It will remain so as a homeserver. Other: Deeds are disabled apart from the starter town, as are priests (no holy altars). Until our own religion overhaul is complete, there will be no way to advance religion. Artifacts have also been removed. Skillgain is set to 6x, action speeds to 4x with many skills individually tweaked to be easier/more balanced. Tree growth is slightly accelerated and crops should be completing their full cycle in 48hrs. Skill restrictions for riding mounts/sailing ships have been removed. The logout timer for beds has been reduced to 6s. The server is running 12, 000 animals with a lowered aggro count (subject to change). Teamspeak: 5.189.156.203 We will be making adjustments as time progresses to bring about the most enjoyable experience, however we will not be wiping characters or progression. The WUFU Project An extensive modification of the base game, WUFU's primary goals include an overhaul of religion, sorcery, meditation paths; rebalancing combat; altering travel speeds for sailing; model and texture improvements; and a review of how PvP mechanics come into play. There is also a long, long list of other modifications we hope to introduce. The main map for the cluster will be Tormaer, a 4096-sized PvP server, featuring PMK's and everything else you might expect. More details of these will be forthcoming with our new website.
  14. I need a command in game or something that I can run to properly backup all character information across all of my servers. For some reason this game does not seem to backup my character data for those characters on my clustered servers. This is a HUGE flaw. Basically all of my characters on clustered servers get rolled back at each restart. This is a huge bug and I do not know why other people have not experienced this, or are not complaining about this.
  15. I am building a server on my home network (to test before I go live) that modifies the original rule set beyond the parameters of the GUI/console. I have seen other servers do it... Increasing QL for newbie tools Adding/removing/changing newbie tools Adding starter buffs (such as the newbie food/heal/aggro buff like on WO) Periodic server messages anything else you can think of that isn't "vanilla" When I built my own server, I could change the experience leveling as well as action speed, but beyond that I saw no additional settings. Maybe I am missing it, but I Googled and searched the Mods section and don't see anything that changes these rules/templates. I have checked the SQLite files and didn't see anything resembling the above. I have experience with Minecraft server administration (Bukkit and Forge mainly), but I am lost here. Can anyone here assist me in how to approach this? Any links or configs you can provide are greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  16. Greetings all I have an issue with my hosted server, the files are only available using ftp, so I download and edit them. I uploaded my custom map, and it seems to work well, then I created a character I wish to make a GM, but when I quit, shut down the server and export the wurmplayers.db file, its empty I use sqlitebrowser I renamed the file and imported a file with a character of the same name, but one that had GM powers, started up the server and logged in, but I got into the same character as before, with the same inventory and all... so my question is : where else are the characters stored, and has anyone been able to make a GM on killservers?
  17. Good Evening, I just purchased Wurm Unlimited off of steam and i was trying to create a personal server to get to know the game. I have followed many videos on how to create your own offline server. I have correctly inputted my internal ip address, and started the server, I get a confirmation on the server comand line that the server is up and on Steam. It does not show up in my LAN tab, Any suggestions? Piljo
  18. I am having problems connecting to my dedicated server. I have followed the steps relating to running ipconfig in order to confirm my ip addresses, making sure the external matches, and one post suggesting I clear the ip fields in both tabs on the launcher (including the advanced tab). Clearing the two ip fields, reloading the dedicated server then restarting actually worked one time, but since then I am having no luck. I reinstalled the dedicated server app from steam as well to no avail. I have also updated java. Any suggestions?

    Hi All, I would like to welcome you join the Galapagos server. Its been up since the start and I should imagine it will be up for many years. I play WO for quite a while Currently its set up with; Start Island with open iron, forges, traders (with loads of silver left), open inn with free beds, lots of space for you to venture, 15k max creatures (10% hostile) - will change if it density is off but fine so far, give feedback Skill Gain *3 Action Speed *3 Mind Logic 25 Body Control 25 Body Strength 24 (so you can load/unload, ask gm in freedom to bump) Characteristicts start at 20 Fight and overall skills start at 10 Deeds are free, until we build up an economy and may change if long term abandoned lots ever become an issue Teamspeak (ask in game and i'll give you the address) A few people on from the release of WU but I haven't been proactive hunting for players, all are welcome to use and its in a vm on my dedicated servers that have been up many years and will be for the foreseeable future give or take a dead hard disk every so often which get swapped out of the raid set quick when needed, should this change I will release the map to all players so they loose nothing. Lots of stuff to get kitted out in the starter island which is bridged to the mainland for you to wander and find your place, also several sail boats for people to share (or pinch).   20. How often does the dedicated server write to disk? I read somewhere that it keeps things in virtual memory and I got it into my head that it doesn't ever write to disk until it shuts down, but that wouldn't really make sense, would it? The question comes up as I'm trying to figure out a backup scheme for my server and it'd be best if I didn't have to take the server down every time I wanted to do a backup. Thanks! -Llurendt

In the headless server, you can enter 'shutdown' to tell the server to go down, but it doesn't seem you can tell it how long to wait or have it send a message to the event tab as you can with the gui. Has anyone managed to get around this or figured out how to get it to function? Thanks! -Llurendt
  22. So I am having a hard time finding were I can change the time and date settings on a private server? Is there a archgod command that lets you due that or is this a manual database modification? Secondly were would I change how fast time goes on a server. I don't know what the default is but I would like to say get a year to go by every month?
  23. Is anyone aware of a way to write a script to inject commands into the headless server? I'm attempting to create an automatic restart/backup script as a workaround for the 4 hour CPU usage issue I'm running into (and a way to handle routine maintenance, etc), but I can't figure out if RMI is somehow the way to do it and if so, how to make use of it. The default server setting means that players on the server are not getting enough time to sleep and work the field - in my own experience I planted the seeds as one of the last things I did then logged in less than 12 hours later to fields of weeds from having missed the harvest time. Could someone please help by explaining the Field Growth setting? Ideally I'd like a field to last at least 24 hours so players have chance to do various things but I've no idea how to configure the setting to achieve this. Thanks in advance.
  25. Hi Guys, I have a server running fine on a server on a hosted node all ok, I have opened all ports and I have also setup one at home on my personal server and opened all ports up. So if I start my hosted node server with the external ip address of my home one in server neighbour , set it to north my main server starts ok, that's the one set as a logon server, the second isn't, so if I then start my second up with the main server as neibour and set as logon server it starts, but wheni try to join it says no logon server available ? any ideas Thanks A
