So i'm trying to make a complex cooking recipe in a cake tin and it says "Have you tried adding a sweet?". I get a sweet and drop it in the cake tin "[20:56:26] You drop a sweet.". Then it says "[20:56:27] The items inside do not make any known recipe." . The sweet i'm dropping is a green apple nougat for reference. Is it an improper ID given to the item or what?

It has a recipe on it! It appears the recipe "billy sheep gruff stew" has something written on it. The author appears to be someone named 'Da Wife'. They may be used to add the recipe to a player’s cookbook (consuming the supreme recipe card). Rare (and better) recipes produce meals that have better CCFP values and longer temporary affinities compared to regular recipes

Hiho, i'm curious what the new dropped recipes are worth. [02:48:59] A flat piece of paper made from pressed wood pulp. This is a very rare and interesting version of the item. It has a recipe on it! It appears the recipe "goblin liver and onion" has something written on it. The author appears to be someone named 'Da Wife'. The recipe cards will show up as their rarities (i.e. the rare goblin recipe will be a rare piece of papyrus), and may be used as above to add the recipe to a player’s cookbook (consuming the rare recipe card). Unlike other recipes, a player will not be able to make the recipe if it does not exist in their cookbook. These recipes can not be written down from a cookbook, although the initial inscribed papyrus sheets can be traded and mailed as normal. Rare and better recipes will be coloured in the same way as items in the cookbook (i.e. rare is dark blue, supreme light blue, fantastic pink). Rare (and better) recipes produce meals that have better CCFP values and longer temporary affinities compared to regular recipes.

We've had a few more hotfixes this week to address some unfortunate combat problems, although we're fairly certain the exploits have been removed and should be smooth sailing from now on. If you encounter any issues or exploits please be sure to report them to the GM team by pming a GM on the forum, or emailing gamemods(at)wurmonline.com Patch Notes Wurm Online Wurm Unlimited WU Update Version 1.1.1.2 of Wurm Unlimited went live this week, with the new clothing and other updates coming in! We aim to have the new beta up by next week, with the PvP, combat, and other changes in that for modders and admins to make sure everything works. Cooking! The time comes closer to public testing of the new cooking system, with our devs and several volunteers working hard to ensure that it hits the public test server as soon as possible! This weeks peek is at the recipes, and ways to share them. Players who create a meal, can write down that recipe on papyrus using a reed pen filled with ink or dye, and then they are able to trade, mail or sell the recipe card, and allow other players to use them to learn new recipes. Rumour has it that certain humanoid creatures in the wild also have their own unique recipes, ones that cannot be cooked without knowing how to make them... Food storage Another common question about the cooking update is about decaying of meals! Certain items such as sandwiches and chocolate (!) will be able to be wrapped, which will greatly reduce decay on those items. Meals cooked with salt will also have reduced decay, though these will not stack. There will also be a storage option to greatly reduce decay of items that cannot be stored in a storage bin, with something special involved too, but more on that in another weeks news! What secret does the larder contain? how does it stay so cool? Another big storage option will be the ability to store liquids without decay! Sealing a liquid container with beeswax and cloth will prevent all decay on various containers, including amphorae and pottery jars. Wine barrels will also be able to be sealed, but will use a different method. So i just pmed warlander and found out recipes are server side, So i got a simple mod request here. ? amount of water + 20kg of dirt = 1kg of clay. Rotab was the first to post the modification, you can find the post here

Hello.. Wouldn't it be great if you could search for recipes based on skill, within the crafting interface. eg - you want to find all the jewel crafting products, you type in Jewelry Smithing into the search box, and they all appear. This would aid skill gain by giving you a list of things you can imp, it'd also expand the base functionality of the crafting interface. Thoughts?
