To all Wurmians: So today I present to you all abit of a rant/ramble about why I'm quiting the Wurm PvP servers alone with 30 odd active members of Empire of Mol Rehan. I've been lucky enough to be a part of MR from the very start and I am always going to grateful for being able to forge relationships that have lasted not only for years but have also given me the opportunity to travel around the world. From Woodscove, Rivendell, HoM and Kratos all have given me many fond memories but now it's time to close the book on this all and start another one. The good news is atleast I am not (as of right now) entirely quit Wurm, I am going to wait and see if my motivation to play on Freedom returns, if it does I will continue with my Fosters Brewery series. To all those people who have supported me and my endevours over the years both on Chaos and off I extend my deepest thanks. I also would like to extend a big thankyou to Enki and anyone else involved in the recent account thefts, your swift action and help is one of the reasons I have not entirely given up on this game.   7. A friend and I have been considering buying this game especially since it is on sale for Steam. We're willing to try it out but only if there is a good RP server. Let me specify what we're looking for. We of course want to be part of community that really wants to RP. We would like to not be too restricted by rules. Making the entire server open PvP would be great as long as there is something to balance the more aggressive actions of others, whether it be a rule or a mechanic. The thrill of possibly dying at any second combined with the fun of interacting with others at the same time is amazing and the main point of playing. Ex: Being killed on sight wouldn't be fun but being robbed by bandits would be. Having someone just pull out a sword, yell "lol kek" and kill you at a Tavern wouldn't be fun. A Noble calling you a "vile beggar" which leads to a bar fight and then you die in it would be fun. Having your base destroyed for no reason wouldn't be fun but getting into a land dispute that starts a war or feud between families/cities would be. Is there any server like this? I've seen some other posts around RP as I combed the threads but they were about a year old. It made me lose hope.

Radiant Islands - RP/PVP - Pirates http://radiantislands.wixsite.com/home The World of Wurm is vast with countless undiscovered lands, dotting a chaotic world full of strange beast and warring gods. The Radiant Islands was among those lands considered lost for all times until a group of retreating vagabonds discovered its shores. The vagabonds were led by the notorious brigand, Coren Scorpio, who captained the wicked ship “Wailing Widow”. They were luck to find the shores of the Radiant, because their stores were plum dry and the crew near madness. The captain and his men rallied with their new found luck and decided to colonize a small piece of the islands. A retreat, you could say, but it was more like a rat infested hole where they hid their loot and shiny babbles. The captain named the small town they constructed, Laguna. It was there they formed their base of operation as they continued their pirating in the closer trade routes. Precious ores were eventually discovered in the mountain chains that formed the islands. This was good and bad for the pirates. This brought in miners, traders, and other fortune seekers into their waters. The good was that it meant a boom in business, but it also meant more pirates. More pirates meant more competition which was never good for business. Naturally, small skirmishes erupted up between small pirate factions, and the merchants and miners hired in heavier guns to protect their cargoes. Since then, it has been a sour experience. Laguna has become a haven for all types of pirates. Merchants have even pushed their way into the area, conducting black market trading in the town. A cultural change has taken shape around him, and the captain wasn’t thrilled about the outlook.   9. My suggestion is simple. The mechanic "Every time a deed is drained, the drained amount will increase by 50%." doesn't stop increasing after 10 drains. That's all. edit: Excludes epics homeservers. aka the "newbie/casual pvp servers"

  11. I fell in love with Wurm many years ago and i have held out and will always hold hope in my heart it will return and surpass it's previous greatness. I love to play Wurm because I feel like I'm actually working towards something especially when working as a team so many Awesome memories. I just can't come back to epic the way it is. I have never and will never play Freedom/Chaos. I try to normally stay PC as possible and if I offend anyone with this next statement I apologize. I feel like epic is treated as the red headed step child of Wurm and has not been given the attention it deserves. Epic is in such disarray that i don't know if PVP will last I'm not saying that it will die out on freedom also. I feel that chaos will never live up to the full loot on every server like on Epic. The epic style of PVP was the attraction that I had to wurm that I could and would most likely lose my stuff. There were so many occasions that I would feel like my heart was going to beat out of my chest because everything was on the line, even though its just a game it gave me a thrill that I had never felt nor have I been able to find again. I feel like Epic was a game in and of itself and I don't mean this in a way that freedom is a lesser version but just such a different version and that they each deserve to have time spent on each of them equally. I love you Wurm but I cannot continue to have my heart broken update after update that does nothing to help bring people including me back to the cluster I grew to love. Treating it as a red headed step child. I know I'm not alone in the way I feel. I know I'm not the first to bring these problems to light. I also feel like this will fall on deaf ears no matter how eloquent we write our requests. In the end the ones that know they tried will know that they tried to help one of the best pvp games ever made. Basically I feel like Wurm has become the guy/girl you romanticize after but always tries to keep you hooked by promising that they will do better next time. but when next time comes its no different than before.   12. Hi Everyone! Well, we had our first rifts opening across all servers today (a little early, so I missed out too!) but the issues that we encountered have been corrected, and fixed. We have also got the unstable client running the new rendering engine, with plenty of feedback to sort through and improve on, I'd like to thank you all for taking the time to provide your feedback and information. But with that said, on with the news! Patch Notes Wurm Online Rift Tweaking The invasion system went live this week, with the rifts opening a little earlier than anticipated (or advised) and closing even earlier! We’ve looked into why they opened early and also closed after the first run, and that has been corrected in today's update. As a result of this, we’ve reset the timers for rifts, and they will open up over this weekend, with currently 2 days warning. We’ll be implementing countdown measures as well, to ensure that players have adequate time to prepare themselves for the fight! I know there were some reports of the Rift Beasts being taken down quite easily, but don’t forget they’re the baseline grunts for these rifts, with Ogres, jackals and mages packing an incredibly strong punch! Each rift creature killed has a roughly 5% chance of dropping loot (higher for the warmaster and champions). So participation is the key to getting loot, the more you kill, the greater your chances! We’ll continue to see how the rift system goes, and adjust how often it occurs, as well as loot and warning times as things go on. Starter deeds A little delayed, but I’ll be in contact with the winners of the starter deed makeover contests this week, and organise times with the GM team in order to provide resources and such, so expect to see the new deeds soon! Cave dwellings and PvP We’ve started work on the counters for cave dwellings within PvP servers, with the awesome new battering ram! The model for it is finished, and can be shown here: We’ll have more info on the functionality and mechanics in the next news hopefully. Our goal is to provide a server with as little Admin intference as possible and only when needed. RULES No cheating This means don't use client-side mods that let you know or do significantly more than what a player using the default client could know or do. Whether or not a mod violates this rule is up to the admins. Mods that do not violate this rule include the Live Map mod, the Compass mod, the Better Tooltips mod, and the Action Numbers mod. If a mod is purely cosmetic e.g. the No Winter mod it's fine, too. Don't abuse the server This means don't try to take the server down, exploit bugs in the server software, create a million alts, etc. Just use common sense and you'll be fine. Don't make giant walls out of dirt/sand/etc. around your deed. Huge dirt walls are not only ugly, but they make raiding a settlement a massive chore, and defending a settlement kind of boring. This is not fun, and as a PvP server we've decided to disallow the building of giant natural walls. As a rule of thumb, if you have to climb over a slope it to get past it, it's too tall. This will be enforced on a case by case basis. Only hire up to seven spirit shadows/templars to protect your deed. Another aspect of PvP we found not to be fun was the fact that a sufficiently rich village could hire as many guards as they want, sometimes upwards of 50(!). This meant that rich players didn't even have to try - if they were attacked by other players, they could just let their guards zerg rush the enemy. In order to successfully raid a settlement you need to defeat its guards, and raiding a settlement with that many templars/shadows is just unfeasible. To prevent snowballing and help new deeds compete, we're limiting the number of guards a deed is allowed to hire to seven, more than enough to handle any creatures, and small raids, but not enough to do all the work in the event of a real attack. If you need to defend your deed, you'll have to get your hands dirty. With that said we hope to see you on our server. Feel free to ask any questions below!
  16. Currently on chaos F2P's respawning spawn randomly anywhere on the map. My suggestion is to restrict that to be non-hostile territory. Atm we got enemy f2ps suicide spawning around the map, popping locals, popping deed alarms, suicide scouting and in general being a nuisance. Simply prevent the abuse with a short string of code. thanks.

  18. Hello! I was sent here by Altor, the GM from Ereb Altor. We have regions, independent deeds, villages, towns and now very soon PMK. To avoid direct collision between them all... We need something like "Free participation PvP" where non-hostile players are treated and seen as neutral players (yellow outline) by both PMK-players and guards until they actively choose to attack someone (red outline), able to have neighbouring partners (pure blue outline) which helps other players to localize between whose neutral, hostile or neighbour. Perhaps even further expanding it adding alliances with other kingdoms (pink outline) or heroic players who achieved something ultra-rare wear (turqouise outline) which all can be seen from a distant. That means that some local players may be trading partners (pure blue outline) but players from same kingdom far away will see us as neutral (yellow outline). The very same goes for other PMK, they'll see us as neutral at first until some actual fight begins. It also means players who have begun a conflict between each other should eventually be able to turn into neutral stanced, either over time or to declare peace (somehow) It's a neaty and tricky request but it will be probably the greatest tool for those who are into hardcore PvP and PMK.   21. So lockpicking is bugged. woo. as for doors it nerfs the unlocking mechanic into the ground. (probably same for gates too, didnt check too closely if all issues are present there aswell) 1) Upon unlocking a door a 10min re-lock timer activates. (all goodie, intentional and working as intended, no issues). Basic stuff that lets lockpicking for doors "work" 2) If a enemy player walk through a unlocked (willingly unlocked or lockpicked) door a 1min timer is applied before re-locking occurs. 3) If you are offdeed and walk through a door owned by your kingdom and there is enemy presence then a set timer of 2min is applied. #2 & #3 doesn't check if #1 is active... in other words if another timer is already running. Thus whenever you unlock a door and something walk through it the timer can instantly loses 80-90% of its remaining time... leaving just a tiny 1-2 min timer. The fix is simple. #2 & #3 needs to have a if statement that checks if the current timer is less than the time it tries to apply. for devs:

Suggestions, myths have spread what kind of affinity/bonus Libila really has but none have found proof through testing or searching in the code for it. Follower bonuses/Kingdom bonuses What we do know now is that if u are a follower of libila and part of HOTS you can: 1. Absorb Mycelium that heals a wound and removes the mycelium (no diety required) 2.
