If you'd like to join this raid please leave a comment with your name and fighting skill. This is purely recreational you will not be compensated (aside from the spoils of war) for your service. If you'd like to bring your own weapons and armours that is fine, but we are looking for volunteer boatmen and Smith's for the following: Volunteer Smith's, if you could make any weapon types that would be appreciated, again you will not be compensated. These weapons do not have to be of marvelous quality, any ql will do, though I personally believe that shortsword and shields would be fine. As for armours they aren't required, but again if you'd be willing cloth armour would help am doesn't matter here either. Boatmen your job explains itself, you'll be transporting the troops from a Talley point to the landing sights. Any sailing boat would do for this role. Combat is not one of your requirements, but you may need to be prepared to defend your ships. Lastly if you are interested in leading a battalion please pm me either here or in the game, character Diarmuid. This raid will take place sometime in either November or October, a more specific time and date will be posted when avalible. 😜

About Us: Valley Cove is located on the southeast coast of Chaos, less than 5 minutes from the Deliverance border, even in bad wind. We are not a frontline deed. Would like to see the ability to knock a rider from its mount (boat horse whatever) A roll of Body control anytime you're hit with a shield bash or a hard hit with a two handed. are a few possible ways. Would cause boats to have to leave player or turn around and fight. horses with gear should get a bonus for the rider to stay on vrs ones without.

Before getting involved in that I wish to see if there is even really a need or interest in one. After all there's tutorials on almost everything else... even ones for the tutorials. One would think if there was really a demand, someone would have done it already. So... what do you think? IV. Hypothetically-Speaking A. Spying B. Sabotage C. Downright dirty scoundrel Example section: Lockpicking Lockpicking Lockpicking is fairly self-explanatory. Its the skill for picking locks. In Wurm this allows one to bypass locked doors on structures, vehicles, ships, and containers. This guide will simply refer to all lockable items as containers. The tools needed, lockpicks, can only be made by a locksmith of some skill, so one may wish to pick this up as a side skill as you will go through picks frequently. Knowing a good smith or merchant is another good idea. There are additional benefits from such a relationship, which will be covered later. Lockpicks will break... ALOT. Less so as the quality is higher, and it helps to have several dozen in multiple satchels on one's belt ready to activate. Picks of a ql less than twenty of the lock's ql will not even work to begin with. Once the lock is picked, it will stay open for so many minutes as indicated by Examining, as in the case of gate locks, or as with padlocks, the lock will come off and appear in your inventory. The difficulty of the lock can vary greatly and is dependent on several factors: the container ql, pick ql, examined lock ql (see table 1.1), your skill, the type of container, etc. Ships are more difficult than say a chest, and larger ships more so. The calculated chance is displayed on the menu next to Pick Lock.   10. As stated here, Elevation is getting a reset. http://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/120453-elevation-reset/ I figured this would be a good time as any to pop my Wurm PVP ch...err..... I mean, get my feet wet with some Wurm PVP. So, recommendations? Let me hear your pros and cons and what kingdom you'd recommend joining please. As it's all new to me, I don't really have any prejudices of any sort with regard to factions and will consider any that makes a good case for recruitment.   11. Hello fellow wurmians, what do you think about adding some spice to Epic? Something that will shake people and add more life to cluster. Once or twice a year (could be discussed later) Valrei gods become displeased with people of epic. So they fall asleep, and leave people for 48 hours without their protection and patronage. During these 48 hours epic players would see/feel/have: no magic at all (gods are sleeping and can't lend you their power) no altar influence and god domains 30% chance that Meditation bonuses (erupt/enchant/fear/teleport/recall home/and all others) will work no reputation hits and no penalties (sleeping gods can't judge you) possibility to threaten enemy kingdom merchants on Homeservers That could be called The Massacre, or The Purge.
  12. For one of the upcoming Challenges, how about perhaps a 'survival' based kind of theme? I'd actually be down for a full survival server, but we could see how it went as a 'Challenge' first. Wurm has some absolutely awesome mechanics for this already in place. My idea is as follows: (And remember, it's just a suggestion. Some will like it, some will hate it. Feedback is welcome, but do be civil.) You start on the map with nothing. And I do mean nothing. No starter tools, no backpack, no compass. Zilch. Not even a stick.You must find and forage rock tiles to make stone tools, in order to make other tools.You start at a random starter location. (Stone and rock tiles should be not too far away. Cliffs maybe, or even simply exposed rock.)Perhaps make 6 or 8 such starting locations, so that people are spread randomly throughout the world.No deeds. What? No deeds? Yes. No deeds. Everything has the full decay that you would expect being in the middle of nowhere in the wilderness on some lost isle. You want something to last, either repair it or make it higher ql.No skill bampfing. 70FS my achin' backside. You start with normal noob skills. You want to be better at something? Work for it. This way there will never be 80ql swords in this little scenario, and everything will be a bit more equalized across the board.Additional options include: PVE only. If enough folks aren't down with that, then the next option below.PVP, but no grouping or cooperation allowed of any kind. This is solo man or woman vs wild. No grouping up and ganking people. You want to go toe to toe, you do it at your own risk and do it alone. No hiding behind your team mates that PVP for a living. (And none of this... oh I just HAPPENED to drop a dozen 40ql swords along the road in the direction of my buddies... oops.)There could be various prize categories for different playstyles. Something for everyone, in other words. Since the skills would be limited based upon the limited playtime, some such rewards could be: First 4 x 4 Wooden StructureFirst 4 x 4 Stone StructureFirst gem minedFirst 30ql stone wall (of any kind)First 80ql+ item foraged/botanized. (or even make it specific. First 80ql+ acorn, etc.)These are just some generalized ideas. I'm sure others can come up with other and better things.

  15. Pretty simple suggestion, this would apply to Chaos only for now as it seems to be the only place people are pathetic enough to abuse alts to retarded extents. People from all kingdoms and sides know that alt abuse is stupid, pathetic, and downright annoying, and almost every kingdom currently does it. When an account dies more than once within 10 or 15 minutes, make them wait a minute or two before they are allowed to respawn again, and increase this every time they die, up to a maximum of one hour. This would mean that if you are a legit player who dies in PvP or near a deed, you are able to get right back into the action. Any legit player is also probably going to be more cautious, and take time getting back to the battle, so this likely wouldn't affect them in any way. But an alt, who dies say, 10 times within 5 minutes would end up with a 20 minute respawn timer. The exact times are of course subject to change and are just my basic speculation on this concept. Thoughts?
  16. I have been watching server population numbers and it seems they have been shifting back lately. I'm not into PvP, but am curious if this is just an inaccurate observation, or is there some reason people are shifting back to the old servers? If I were to guess, I would imagine people that have no hope of getting top prizes are dropping out and just waiting for the reset, to give it another crack next month? I can see raiding on old servers getting planned for the next storm reboot...
  17. Just found out that our kingdom champ slots and Black Legion's are shared slots. Apparently Enki is aware of this problem and it is part of game mechanics but it is completely unfair for Ebonaura as well as Black Legion and any other PMK that might emerge. Every other PMK on Chaos is allowed to have 3 per kingdom template so why are Black Lighters being held to another standard. If it is a bug please fix and if it is not please make it the same as the White Light kingdoms. Edit: corrected kingdom - template. Reasoning is still there; Black Lighters only have one template while White Lighters have three. Do the math, BL = 3 champs/WL = 9 champs.
  18. I was thinking about the options that we have with rare bricks and they seem to be very limited. Rare walls are not part of the game currently because they would serve no purpose other than glow. Granted, if they had glow, the performance of the game would be reduced even further. So heres my suggestion. Add rare walls but dont add the glow to them. Reduce the dmg taken over time, either on or off deed for this type of walls. Reduce dmg taken by bash/catapults to this walls unless its the deed mayor while on deed, or the wall creator while off deed. If it comes as a rare door, make it resistant to bashing/ catapult dmg and resistance to lockpicking. I dont know if it sounds good but it just came to my head. Please give you feedback.
  19. A new server based on the movie Battle Royal. (its the movie that The Hunger Games remade) Arma 3 mod, and minecraft mod exists allready, so many of u guys r familiar with the concept: Last player alive wins. Small randomized server with mapgrids. Server last 3 days IRL, a weekend event. Full PVP. Your char wont be loged out from the game when u quit. Enter via the Portal, and you use the armor and weapon and skill you have. Every 6 hours IRL some mapgrids get contaminetred by Taint, and you take damage if u remain in that zone, until u die. It is perma hardcore death, and cant reenter once it started. as the playarea gets smaller, the more forced confrontations there will be and fights to the death. the last player alive gets to keep what ever the items the other players have droped and can carry back through Portal Home. Broadcast on all servers who won. there are also hidden treasures around the island, but it can be risky to wander around too much besides players, uniques monster roam about too. if more players than 1 are alive when the time runs out, everyone dies by some evil Soul Collector Devil.

  21. So I sat in Mycelium for 1 hour 44 minutes and my hunger meter was stale at 75%. It only increased my nutrition and not hunger. Is this intended or is it a ninja nerf?
  22. Handcuffs Adds another dimension to pvp, based from DayZ gameplay. In a PvP fight where one player gets Lifebar down to "Dying" stage, a enemy can get a 30sec action timer to apply Handcuffs Handcuffs or any primative shackles, crafted by blacksmithing. Scenario today is a big group of players gank 2 players and slaughter them, take all stuff and throws it away just to be evil Scenario with handcuffs, the group can restrain the 2 players, interrogate them, loot their backpack they are wearing, heal them up and let them go with a warning. If you r the dying player that got restrained by handcuffs, your only action option is to "Struggle" to break free from them, timer 1 minute. But if someone notice you doing it, they will most likely kill you. Best option is to Roleplay along and beg for mercy. If you hate roleplaying you can just /suicide.
  23. Valrei mobs are turned off on PvE. This happened before my time but I would guess due to complaints. There seems to be a lot of complaining about neutrals clogging up the counts for horses on PvP. Why not just turn off all neutral on PvP except horses?

  25. While the mind wanders through the endless grind of bricks, mortar, mining etc.. I caught myself wondering who the best fighter in Wurm is? Is it completely gear based or is there some underlying skill that I have yet to discover rather than standing in one spot bashing the targets head to the consistency of red kimchee? Could an archer win solo against a swordsman? A spell caster versus an axeman? A perfect opportunity for a veritable Roman spectacle... Would be cool if there was a way or place, a coliseum or steel cage where 2 people enter and only 1 comes out alive... or just barely. Entree fee's, side bets, cash prizes to the victors... oh the mob would love it.
