    Alaron is open for anyone who wishes to play on the server. 4096x4096 map. 1 x skill gain. 4 x action timer. Free deed but there is upkeep cost. Lots of rivers, big and small. Lots of unique terrain. Plateaus, valleys, canyons, mountain meadows, snow capped peaks, grasslands, forests, deserts, steppes, marshes. Great place for explorers or people just wanting to play and build. 80,000 creatures, 60% aggressive. All characteristics start at 23. We assume you are not a weakling. All skills start at 10. We assume you are not a moron who doesn't even know how to dig. Mining hits are 41. Xray mod is advised. The vein count has been reduced so you'll need it to make finding veins easier for you. And with 60% nasties it might keep you alive longer in the beginning. Tree spread odds are 50%. The server has been up for a couple of months at 100% so there should be ample trees. Some areas they will be sparse. Sea serpents and sharks will not be rare. I've seen one dragon so far. Probably more. Some other rare nasties have also been spotted. Mods: (because updates may break mods we can't say these will always be available) betterdig: per dig weight rate, clay 20, tar 20, peat 20. dig from/to fairly everything bountymod cropmod deedmod: max 2 deeds of 10201 total tiles each. A player first crafts a trade pack using raw materials or goods harvested from the game world, then carries that pack across the game world before depositing it for a profit at a target destination. The transportation process is not without its dangers, however, as trade packs reduce a player's movement speed and make him vulnerable to other players who may steal his goods. If a player is killed by a bandit or pirate, the trade pack is dropped and may be captured by the criminal, who may then deposit it themselves and usurp the profits. These would be interactive boards (much like the village recruitment boards) where players can choose the pact runs they wish to carry out. AI Pirate Ships: I have sloop models completed but need the AI behind it. The goal of the encounters is to create more of a PVE and PVP fear at sea. Pirates would also tap into the routes frequently used by Trade Pacts. Named captains. Bounties (see below) Bounties: ADDED As pirates sink player ships the fleets of the Captain grow. Bounty boards would also be created much like the village recruitment boards and the reward would be based on the strength of the fleet as it grows. Mount Ticketing system: ADDED Player made Harbormasters that can exchange a mount for a ticket which can be loaded into a cargo hold of a ship. The weight of the ticket would reflect the weight of the animal. Tickets can then be unloaded and activated to spawn the original animal without the use of the harbormaster. LiveMap MOD An in game mini map that shows objects, terrain, around you as you move about the map. Menu / Live map toggles this feature on an off. Better Sound FX MOD Over 100 new types of the sound FX have been done by me to give you a better submersion experience in the game. More updates to the sound file as i get time. ClusterTalk MOD Better communication between cluster servers and login server. RMITool MOD Custom tool for Server wrapper to check server health, and reboot the server during maintenance windows. Ago Server Modlauncher v.20 This allows the mods to work and communicate with each other. Bulk Items Separated MOD Mod that allows you to use one BSB for any quality material. It separates items stored based on items QL, so you would have e.g. 10 stacks of iron lumps in ranges 0-10, 10-20, 20-30, etc up to 90QL. After 90QL each QL unit gets its own stack. There is an option to revert the mod functionality, by simply blessing BSB. Don't forget to rename your blessed BSB, however, since blessing is not visible on "Examine"! Bounty MOD You recieve bounties for killed creatures, when you bury them. Harder the creature, better the bounty! Decay tick MOD This is one of several bandaids mods that we run. Wood scraps, rock shards, dirts and logs left on ground off-deed would be rmoved on first damage increase. Tweaks MOD Sets number of sleeping powders on every trader to 9. Domestics replacement MOD This is one of several bandaids mods that we run. Most of domestic spawns are replaced by hostile creatures, so it is harder to find a horse or a ram, but easier to find an adventure. Kingdom stuff MOD Mod that adds every single kingdom item available to list of craftable items. Tabards and towers are not craftable yet! Event & Loot MOD Adds various non-craftable loot items to creatures killed. During events,adds higher chance of dropping specific items from specific kills. Nofogspiders MOD This is one of several bandaids mods that we run. Removes fog spider event from game, because said event drastically affects server performance. Dead Shoulders MOD Adds rift shoulderpads to riftcreatures loot table. You can even get rare,supreme or fantastic shoulderpad if you're lucky! Dead critters MOD Adds progressively increasing chance for every creature to die, starting from "Old" age. Cared, bred, unique and champion creatures are not affected.

  6. Ever want to give your servers starter deed a makeover? Ever want to show new players just what is possible in Wurm? Do you like playing in deedplanner and work well with others? If you answered yes to these, I have a competition for you! We're looking for players to form teams and tender design ideas for each starter deed on the PvE servers (Depending on success of this we'll look at including PvP servers with stricter requirements). The competition will be open until the end of March (12:00 midday server time March 30th) How to enter: Work out whether you want to submit just a design, or organise a team to build it too. If you choose to build it, form a team of three or more players (with a minimum of 30 days playtime each) and work on a deedplanner design. Once you're satisfied, submit screenshots and the deedplanner file along with a short description about the look and feel you're aiming for. Submit your designs with screenshots and blurb in a zip file to retrograde@wurmonline.com, designs (as well as contributers) will be reviewed by staff. Once we're sure the requirements are met and the members of your team are suitable, the entrants will go up for public voting. If you want to keep the current starter town, that's fine, they automatically go in the public voting! Each successful team will be commemorated with a plaque or sign listing the members of the team upon completion. Requirements: Deed sizes are set at 41x41, perimeter not necessary to include. All kingdom items MUST be Freedom. If you are planning to build, the group must have 3 players minimum, there will be requirements of playtime and standing within the community and game.   23. This PvE server is designed for ultra fast gameplay. The minimum action timers (1,5 seconds) for almost all actions are removed, so everything is instant at all. Since it could get boring after a while with this speed, I made a simple rift invasion mod that spawns rift creatures. The rift creatures are attacking deeds and will try to steal upkeep. If you successfully defend the deed against them, you can get random rewards like rare/supreme/fantastic tools, weapons or bones, masks or other items you can't craft like a spyglass. Traps work against mobs and archery towers/magical turrets are shooting at aggressive creatures, that should help to defend your deed. Some other features are faster boats, horses and carts, all actions (except crafting) are possible from cart, 10x bigger inventory (weight only), no priest restrictions, easier transmutation liquids, raw meat and filets in FSB or some other mods that are public. Features - Custom 4k map 5x action timer 3x skill gain There are some mods, such as removal of priest restrictions, crop mod, digging like mining and a few others to make life a little easier. Deeds are free to found. Upkeep is enabled for larger deeds, but a small deed should not have any upkeep. There is no clay or tar on the map - a GM will place some near new deeds once they have been founded. Future plans include monthly events once there is a large enough player base.
