  1. "Over time, the population of every village approaches one. Most players quit, or become mayors. Why fight it?" -- Garis of Wealdin The Northmere Alliance is a federation of land owners based in the northeast of Celebration, and we're always on the lookout for good players. Whether they seek citizenship in one of our villages, or to settle in the northeast, we can usually tell which players are made for these mountains. In general, rather than recruiting lots of new players into one village and spending all of our time trying to keep them happy and motivated, or living like hermits and getting discouraged in our fortresses of solitude, our members are usually deed owners, dedicated specialist craftsmen, or aspiring deed owners. This means we're almost all premium players with some skin in the game, who can appreciate the challenge and pride that comes from building up your own settlement. Our alliance gives us several advantages. Currently, every member of The Northmere is a premium player. If a villager wants to set out and found their own settlement, they can do so with the full support of the alliance. With mostly solo deeds, each of our members can set permissions for other member on a per-person basis, as they see fit. We don't have rules telling you what you have to contribute or what to do with your deed. For example, if a member want to give one someone mining access for a week, that's up to them. Our ranks include priests of Magranon, Fo, and Vynora. We have access to every major resource, and several rare metal types. We tend not to price-gouge one another, and none of us needs a handout. We also have high expectations of our our members. We want them to be active, intelligent, and of reasonably good character. We don't recruit part time occupants of Celebration, but only players who are committed to living here. Since nobody can turn off the /alliance channel, we expect people to conduct themselves in /alliance chat according to the rules that govern local chat. We save the rowdy, offensive, and wildly inappropriate talk for IRC, and have a system in place for resolving the rare conflicts that pop up. If someone needs to leave, for personal reasons or to get some space, or if they lapse for a while due to RL, they can come back. As an alliance, we work together to develop infrastructure in our region, especially roads, highways, tunnels, towers, ports, and mines. We keep a good balance between progress on the home front and development of our region. If this sounds like a community you'd enjoy, drop me a PM on the forums, or send a message to me, Liviella, Nicefrog, Crick, or Eldris in game.
  2. -Tanelorn- First and foremost we are drama free. Currently Tanelorn is in deep need of a Mason. If this is your area of expertise or one you would like to persue then please contact Harvest or send a message in the forum. If Harvest isn't on game you may contact Huntgrem and have her message Harvest off game and expedite Harvest's return or at least find out when she will be back on. We have changed the way that Tanelorn recruits. If you are interested in joining Tanelorn you must first be a villager of The Academy. Please view the link Here. We have done this to ensure all villagers get along before inviting. Also, to make sure we all are pursuing the same goals. This saves a lot of drama and transitioning and makes for a much smoother family dynamic. We hope to talk to you soon. We are conveniently (or not so conveniently) located in the far north east near Cherrywood Isle. On the Dump Map we are located at X42.5, Y42.5 and on the Darkmalice Map we are at 53-BC. About us: Tanelorn is still undergoing a lot of construction. Most of the digging is done. That doesn't mean we don't have a lot still to do (so if you are looking for great skill gains you better hurry). We have started building our permanent structures. Tanelorn is a great place for you to come, skill, and help out with community projects. Currently we are looking for new villagers, however we do NOT need blacksmiths, miners or cooks. Please do not try to talk us into giving you these positions as it will not happen. We also allow people to come and join our community on a temporary basis to get their feet wet before moving on to their own deed or another village. For all residents, please only apply if you are mature yet don't mind adult humor and foul language (though it doesn't happen often but we do get a hair up our fannies sometimes). Permanent residents must be premium. What this village has to offer: § Our help with tools and weapons (to the best of our abilities). § Small temporary houses with a small yard (perm residents). § Small temporary house w/o a yard (non-permanent). § Tons of farm area. § Lots of trees. § Horses and Cattle (to borrow while you are here). § Mine off deed. § Wells on site. § Altars for all three Gods. § Coastal property. § 1 Templar Guards. § 2 Guard Towers (5 guards each) § Ships for your use (Knarr, Sailboat, Rowboat). What more this village will have: § Large permanent houses with large yards. § Large groves of trees. § Large workshops for all to use. § Sermons for priests. § Large dock with large shipbuilding workshop. § Market at docks to sell your merchandise. What we, as a community, have to offer: § To be part of a community. § Friendship and Trust (open community). § Semi-relaxed environment. § Private house with beds. § BSB and chest in your house. § Community forge and oven (until perm houses are up). What we expect from you: As Permanent Resident: § Manners and respect. § Willingness to learn. § Desire to help out and work as a team. § Someone who gives as much as they take. § Ability to follow directions and listen to village leaders. § Honesty (thievery will get you on KOS). § To be able be on daily, even if for a couple of hours. § Willingness to help out other villagers. § Premium player for permanent resident. § Must speak English. § Willingness to take part in community projects. § No warnings on your account. § Know this game is for you, we do not want to recruit people who quit after a week. Wurm is not for the faint of heart. Village Rules § You are allowed to work on village projects; if you can't then our village isn't for you. § You will not grief other villagers or players. § You will NOT steal, cheat or anything else that will cause harm to the village or its villagers. § You will follow the guidance of the Mayor and village leaders. § You will not mix low quality items with the high quality one in the bulk storages. § Respect other members and be polite. Grievances will be held in p.m.’s, not Freedom. § You will not kill penned animals unless given specific permission. § You will not take over someone else's job unless they have given permission (i.e. only miner mines and only the cook butchers things killed by the Templars). § If you want to practice your mining skills and you are low level you will mine in an off deed mine. § Trees must be replanted after cut. Tanelorn is ever changing and it's just too hard to post updated pictures all the time. I am posting a link that Lucard updates periodically with changes in our terraforming project. The best thing to do is just come see us. I will however post our current end result. This too changes as our vision changes but as our village grows so do our needs. If you are interested in joining our village please contact myself, Harvest, or Lucard in game or send a p.m. here on the forum to Harvest. Please do not send Lucard a private message as he does not check them. Thank you.
  3. Well the title says it all. I think it would be a good idea to have a six Euro per month premium subscription option at the Wurm store. I'm a student studying and working part time. Some months I'm just too busy with tests and work, so buying two months of Wurm prem subscription is just not worth the risk. I was thinking about buying 10 silver and just buying monthly subs at 5s per month but then someone informed me that the in game store asks 10s pm. Wurm takes up a lot of time, time I sometimes just don't have. Per month is needed. Maybe even a option that enables you to choose when to start the next month sub would be great. I would spend the 10Eu with a smile knowing that I have control over when each 30 days start. /discuss [i know 10 Euros is not a lot to most of you, but in South Africa its a lot of money. We have a weak currency.]
  4. It would be a great idea to be able to purchase premium time using SuperRewards. I buy my premium time using in-game currency (mostly money that I earn) and think it would be better if I could purchase premium time through SuperRewards. I use Rixty through SuperRewards to purchase a few silver coins now and again and think it would be better if the same options that are available to PayPal purchasers were available to SuperRewards/Rixty purchasers.
  5. I love this game, but one thing I don't like is that I have to pay once per month. I want some kind of one-time-payment. You don't get the best stuff, but you get a bit better than free. This is good for people who don't have a lot of money, but still can be better than free. SO my suggestion is to divide the players into; Free, Paid and Premium. Who's with me?
  6. Hello everyone, I'm selling my referal for 7s. My ingame name is Thegoblin and I'm on Deliverance server.
  7. Good day to everybody! I was playing Wurm for 4-5 months ago. I had a premium for 2 months, but when it has ended i "dropped" Wurm. My character was on premium server Independence. Now i'm really want to play it again on that character, but i don't want to purchase for the time being. So, can someone (i mean GMs) transfer my character to any free server, without purchasing anything. Thanks. inGame nickname: Moreless
  8. I have an account for which I bought two months of premium time last night. After the purchase, I checked in-game with the 'time' command, and it showed up correctly. Tonight, I just happened to press 'tme' and noticed it reports that I no longer have Premium Time purchased. I restarted the client and it did not fix the issue. My stats have also been rolled back to basic. I suspect this occurred after the update. The website still reports that I have Premium Time for this account paid for up until September 27th, at the top of the Shop page where you buy new silver or time. Who should I contact to get this fixed?
  9. ok i had the idea of a Wurm Horse Plough, it can be used to turn untended fields into tended fields [ can be used to cultivate the land, turn packed to cultivated]! you simply lead a horse the the Large or Small plough and say Hitch, a plough will be made from about 20kg of iron lump on a large anvil, it can only be used by premium players, but if you think we should add it for the freebies we can too. you can have a large plough and a small plough, small plough should be 15kg of iron lump large plough has a seat that premiums can sit on and control it like a large cart. small plough will just be a normal horse plough that can take 1 horse the large plough can take 2 horses
  10. Hello There :)

So, I am a somewhat new player to Wurm, although i know quite a bit about it. (Probably have read every article in the wiki) I was talking to random people in game about premium and how i cannot afford it right now. We talked about how people can sponsor others. About how you can work for someone to pay off your premium. I was curious if anyone would be interested in doing this for me. I am not picky at all when it comes to skills, or what i would be doing. I would just appreciate premium. I am a very active player 8+ hours a day. PM on the forums or in game. Or leave a response here Thank you!
