  1. I've been doing a lot of hostile animal breeding lately, specifically Hell Hounds and Crocodiles. It would be fantastic if they did anything... at all. Below are a few huge QoL features I'd like to propose for animal taming / pets. These are listed from highest to lowest priority imo. - A "Follow" option when an animal has been tamed. This would allow an animal to stay by the player and hunt with them rather than having to lead them with a rope, un-lead, command attack, re-lead, loop. Also "Extended Commands" aka Kill target and return, etc. - Update stats on most animals - for example; Unicorns are basically worthless - the amount of effort that's required in taming and breeding does not match how useful they are when complete (5 speed / 5 draft). - Let players "Gift" tames to other players without the other player needing X taming skill. If I have a Fo priest or high taming, let me sell my 5 combat Champion Hell Hounds to people with 0 taming skill. The current system for gifting animals is not being utilised at all, this would be a quick and easy change that would be a huge QoL improvement to animal taming / pets. - Hitching - Allow more animals to be hitched. I'd love to see Bears / Unicorns hitched to carts and wagons. Tame / Charm, hitch them and make them not un-hitch when no longer tamed. - Stances - Agressive, Neutral, Defensive & Passive - When a pet is tamed and following the player you can choose a stance. Agressive; attack all animals within X tile range of the player. Neutral; attack what the owner/player attacks. Defensive; Only attack the mob/s that are attacking the owner. Passive; Never attack - perfect for having a dog or cat following you around when doing deed work. - Unique mini buffs for players with pets - for example; A tamed Wolf gives you 1% attack speed buff. A tamed rat gives you 1% increase to posion damage. Just small buffs that don't make one pet "meta" or better than the rest (like Sickles in PvE atm) - Pet amour - Decorative and/or combat effective. *Note* All the above suggestions are aimed at PvE servers. And the perfect Home cat came to Wurm! And this is a miracle! This is a dream! And I give it to you!   5. I have noticed the potatoes in my horses' food trough are not going down as expected. I used one of my horses to test. I placed a trough with veggies 1 tile away from her, and she did not see it at all. I placed an empty pet bowl 3 tiles away from her. She still did not see the trough, but instead said the bowl was empty. [03:04:16] She is not hungry. [03:04:16] She has no food in the pet bowl. When I filled the bowl, she prioritised the pet bowl, even though it was further away. [03:07:09] She is not hungry. [03:07:09] She is prioritising eating out of a nearby pet bowl. After I added the bowl, my horses started eating from the bowl, ignoring the trough: [03:20:20] The venerable fat Benny eats a potato. [03:26:51] The venerable fat Southbashira eats a potato.   7. Dragon pen

    Today I was surprised by a big red dragon while climbing down my tunnel. He has now taken residence there, and I have to climb to my place since I can't get past him. I thought I would go teach im a lesson, but I don't want to kill it since it's really darn pretty. I can't have it in my tunnel either or I will be climbing up and down to and from my place all the time. So I thought of putting it in a different cave. But then maybe I want to look at it from time to time. Keep it as a sort of trophy you know... So I came up with this plan: 1. build a tunnel. This will be the tunnel I lure the dragon in. 2. at the end of the tunnel dig a larger underground space 3. in the middle of that chamber build a house with a floor on top. 4. build another tunnel to that chamber. This will be the one i come in after I lured the dragoon inside, to see it. 5. make a bridge from the house in the middle to where tunnel2 meets the dragon room At this point I should be able to walk on my bridge on top of that house and the dragon should not attack me, since he cannot reach me. However I have the following concerns: 1. I read that they can "mine down" walls. And was wondering if he will get aggro of me and break into tunnel 2 before I reach the bridge. 2. If 1 is possible maybe reinforcing the walls would help. 3. Was also wondering if he can randomly decide to destroy my house and my bridge. I am on epic and there are a lot of uniques atm that no one wants to kill. Because we're such nice people here! I will open the place to the kingdom so people can also visit it. Or visit it and kill the dragon... whatever. What are your thoughts on this? Does it seem possible, and has someone tried anything similar?
  8. Tamed or charmed animals can be given to other players. I think the same should be true of dominated pets. It would make sense if a dominated pet can only be given to another priest that can do dominate, but even with this restriction, it would be highly useful. It'll be nice to hand off pets to characters with lesser channeling/soul strength for caring rather than grinding the skills way up on every single priest. I do this with tamed pets, using my main to hand off to alts with less taming, and it would be great to be able to do it with dominated pets too.

  10. When attempting to cast charm on a pet (deer in the case below) on freedom it gives : [21:30:41] That would be very bad for your karma and is disallowed on this server. I am not sure if this is intended or not.
  11. Hi! I play on Serenity, and I seem to have encountered a problem with my pet. Whenever i log out and leave the world for a bit, my pet goes untame. It does this regardless of the level which it is tame (Upset, submissive, etc.). This problem does not occur if I tell my pet to stay online. Thank you for your time.

  13. Its irritating when you have to go tame 1 of your other animals just to slay one you want to use for meat.

  15. As simply put as the name says really I would enjoy a system to which one can have multiple pets like someone can have multiples in real life granted I know this is wurm and not real life. Reasons: Multiple pets such as dual bears or hellhorses will let you hitch them to carts without needing a buddy Breeding aggressive creatures becomes a bit easier (zookeepers would love) Moving animals such as deer etc becomes less of a hassle (tame one lead it tame another lead it we all know the drill) I'm not saying have multiple taming off the bat but have it like caring for animals but a bit harder. At certain levels you can hold a certain amount of animals with a combined strength total of whatever. Such as 2 dogs would be easier to dual than 2 bears at say level 10 but wiki is like a reccomended taming of 15 for a bear so something like twice that would let you hold two bear or some such way.
  16. Hey there! What if you could train your normal pet, like a brown bear, into a champion brown bear? The Idea: You get a "killcounter" for your pet, the pet have to fight aswell, not just stand 5 tiles behind you and watch you fight. And after like hunting down together 50-100(?) critters, your pet will become a champion. Your pet have to be tamed the whole time, if it go untame the counter will reset to zero! This way it becomes a lot harder and not everyone can get a champ easily. Maybe finetuning needed, but thats the idea. Greetz Kamie!
  17. As title says, I think this would be awesome. Just a simple "right-click ground, Pet" setting that allows you to toggle your pet's status between attacking aggressive creatures, or staying passive and only fighting if attacked first.

Something like this: /pet <pets name> <command> /pet Rover Follow (follows you same as an aggresive mob would follow you. no rope needed) /pet Rover Stay (stays in the tile it's in) /pet Rover Guard (attacks aggresive mobs that enter their tile or adjacent tile) /pet Rover Release (becomes not a pet) /pet Rover Come (calls pet from x number tiles away to arrive at your current position. can pass doors/gates) /pet Rover Attack (attacks your target) Maybe multiple pets possible. Maybe combine existing orders format with the new. In any event, expand the abilities of pets and allow multiple pets.
