If you want anything to be added, post your request in here, with the X-Y map coordinates, and if possible a little image to show exactly where you want it to be placed. (You can use an image host such as imgur.) Only a Mayor can make a request to have their deed put on the map and it has to made here in this forum. So all you hermits out there, your secret location is safe! BTW, we do NOT reveal any "off Map" places we come across during our road and geography surveys or add them to the map. BTW ... If a Mayor wants their deed removed, send me (Skyefox) a private forum message and I will remove it. Although we make every effort add what is submitted.. how much information we can display in a given area is sometimes is restricted due to font size limitations, amount of local roads a name would obstruct or we may be aware of lots of new deeds in an area and adding a road or feature name may not be possible as it would prevent adding those new deeds when they apply to be on the map. So there are times when we will say No to a submission and if we say No, it is Final and we will not enter into debate on our decision. Finally, a big thank you to those who have helped with the old Indy Map in the past, including Darkmalice, Mystecore, Mammadarkness, Maximusi, Huserx, Wraithglow and of course Archaed. A special thanks to Maximusi for hosting the old Map download site for the past few years. Indy is a lovely world with a great road system awaiting tourists. Skyefox and Hughmongus Co-leaders of the Albia Consortium Co-Administrators of The Albia Roads Map of Indy New Features and further information about how the Albia Roads Map of Indy was created. Back in October of 2012 we started work on the Albia Roads Map of Indy. Initially we did it as a private resource, when we found it was easy to get disoriented or lost using the old Indy map, when we were out exploring. The map was created from a compilation of the original Community map by DarkMalice, Project FRAM data from the early years of Wurm, Rolf's map dumps and actual travelling of the roads by Hughmongus and myself. It took Hugh a year in his spare time to intergrate all the geography data. Then we started tile counting the roads and highways in October of 2013 with the North East Praires and north coast. Any road that can be travelled on by foot or horse and cart is on the map. When we encounter roads that were behind locked gates/gatehouses we indicate what roads we can see. Where we were permitted access to map a settlement's roads, Gates and Gatehouses are indicated by a pixel gap in the road or side road. Where time allows, we are constanting updating the terrain and adjusting the coastlines, though in Wurm the landscape can change very quickly, so don't be surprised if some of it isn't exactly right. Thus, We do not guarantee accuracy due to the ever changing nature of a sandbox world. You will notice a few extra items on our map as well as some changes to icons, such as the new Tar icon, a smaller version of the Guard Tower and Mailbox icon's. The new Markers for Shrines, Temples, Obelisks and Pillars that were added in May of 2016 with more to come. The hollow Orange outline boxes surrounding the Guard Tower icons indicate the calling range for the guards - get the mob inside the boxed area and guards will respond to your call of "help" in Local Chat. Towers without the orange box we do not have an accurate position for yet, so only the GT icon is placed in an approximate location. The legend on the top left has all the information. Enjoy!   5. This took way longer than I admit to make. So, I finally finished this map, which we've linked to our current server (The Adventurer's) as players move over to it. It's a good map for hunting, exploring, with amazing views from some of the mountain peaks. The zip contains; World Machine TMD (2.3.6.3) I used to help create this (with notes) - maybe it can help with designing your own map for those struggling with WM(?). Height-map (for those who want to re-design some of the attributes) Ores-map Topology map Biomes-map In-game grid-based map to help navigate. All the .map files required to play this world, etc. There is no actions file, the sheer list of actions (undo/redo/undo/redo etc) would likely kill lower end computers, due to old age and I keep forgetting to hit save actions before closing the program... *TMD/Map is free to use, manipulate, create your own maps, no need to ask, just go and have fun!   6. I've been thinking lately about putting a little time into making an Independence market map. I would obviously need the help of others who have markets with merchant in them. I feel that this could possibly help new players find nearby merchants much easier, but no guarantees. lol If you have a market you'd like to be on the map please let me know either here or by pm where it is located, and the name of the deed if it is on one. I think clarifying market places that belong to others would be acceptable as well, as they are obviously open markets meant for traffic. However, if you have individual merchants out in the wild you'd like people to know about I can add those as well, just make sure they are your own and do not belong to someone else, as that would be unfair to them if they'd like to remain mostly hidden. This map would ideally have a legend with labels to signify what merchants have what types of items or gear. If this doesn't prove to be worthwhile, then oh well I guess. lol Let me know what ya think! Edit: Let me clarify that I do know the community map has merchants and traders marked, but the map is also cluttered with a lot of other info as well, and perhaps a map marked only with merchants and traders could be helpful to newcomers. Is there interest in (or does there exist) a cave generating tool that would basically hollow out different areas underground, under certain constraints like maybe: floor and ceiling heights, and slope limits maximum/minimum cave area size how close each cave room is to one another, and how often they should be connected to each other would or would not retain ore veins inside the generated cave area whether or not caves close to the surface should have tunnel entrances I would really like to hear about any practical considerations that might go along with a tool like this. Could this be a feature adapted into one of the map generating tools out there? Thank you

Hi there We have created our Wurm server using an 8k by 8k map of UK and Ireland initially taken from Ordinance Survey data then modified in Photoshop, and finally finished off in Wurm Map Launcher V2.8. Some of the sights are amazing, the shore lines gently slope as they should do. Mount Snowden is impressive too. We have not opened it to the public just yet and intend to do so very soon; If there proves to be interest. We have just Started a Website at Mirrornexus.com which is still in the construction phase. We have a Fullscale Landmap for those who are interrested.

UK Albion Our website is still being constructed but its: mirrornexus.com Hi my 8k x 8k map is taken from Ordinance Survey heightmap data then modified in Photoshop etc. It's on our own server and has been running very well for the past month. We had to do some jiggery pokery with a number of things but we are not experiencing lag. Java was much to blame for the lag by the way. We had to give it more memory. We have to give great thanks to Wurm Map Launcher v2.8, Without which i'm not sure we could have done it. Some of the sights are amazing, the shore lines gently slope as they should do. Mount Snowden is impressive too. We have not opened it to the public just yet and intend to do so very soon; If there proves to be interest. We are very new to all this so any help an advice from anything on how best to run a public server to how to set missions and quests would be gratefully received with thanks.
  10. I have had my personal and alliance map annotations clear several times. They do not come back after relog or waiting a while. I have few facts that relate to the subject but here's what I know; They have cleared after I left the server and came back. They have cleared after alliance leadership was changed. One of my characters that has never left the server has never lost his personal annotations.

  12. Hello all, what are your experiences with headless dedicatet server. I try to run a custom map at my server - but wurm unlimited server will not start., Last line in log: INFO: Finished loading Wurm IDs, that took 1.879341 millis. ... for more than 15 minutes it will not be go on and i abort. Map size 2048 will work wothout problems an fats. Maybe map size 4096 is to big for RAM and wurm server gives no feedback? AMD Athlon II X2 RAM 4GB CentOS 7.2 Greetings

  15. Has anyone looked into re-creating the original maps from Wurm Online. I loved Jenn Kellon as a server, but when i started playing it was already so built up. Id love to have a first crack at building all these awesome places myself.

  17. This map is a custome map 4096x4096 It has realistic mountains and land space to explore. It is not broken up into islands but a massive indy size map with big lakes and lush mountains that flow more realistic. You want see tall round peak mountains like in indy or other maps there massive and high in the sky but they flow with terrain making it easier for the average new comer to be able to travel up and make a home stead with lower digging skills. Hi everyone, i have ben keeping an eye on all the amazing map people have been making and now i am in look of someone with a "particular set of skills" to create one of the worlds greatest tv/book maps going : Westeros. This will be used to create a server for a GoT themed Wurm Unlimited server. I have had several offers on help with creating mods but i would like to have the map down first. The map should be xanadu sized to create the vast amount of space for player to enjoy this, it will be up to the players if there is pvp via diplomacy and politics. Once the map has been made i will create another thread to discuss the plan and mods to be released beside it. Recently disbanded deeds don't need to be submitted as there is now a system in place to alert me to it. The deed will be removed in the next map update. If you own a deed that was added but you don't want it on there PM me and I will remove the name but for the sake of accuracy leave the deed marker. Be exact as possible using the X/Y coordinates (not in game coordinates) or preferably the map pointer link from the interactive map. For new roads or canals an image with an example will be most helpful. Also include if you would like a mailbox, merchant or public trader icon by your deed name. Unlike mailboxes etc. which are just placed by the deed name, guard towers will be placed where they actually are on the map. When I 'like' your submission post it means I've updated the master file and it will appear in the next map update.   22. Hi all I would just like to to put a few ideas I’ve had about the map features and im sorry if these have already been suggested. Drawing Feature: I think it would be a nice idea to be able to draw roads, cannels etc. Road Mapping: This idea I had would be awesome imo. If it could be done you would have an option to turn it on and off. For example you want to map the road from your deed to Summerholt so you would go into your map turn on road mapping and walk to summer holt by high way or your own route and the road mapping tool would draw the line on the map automatically. Map Grid Reference: It would be nice to have a more accurate map reference eg I live @ F24 but that area is still large so what i suggest is to put another grid ref in each sector. Player Locator: This would be great for pin pointing eg tar, clay, peat etc. So you found your tar tile and you would go to your map and icon flashing or something and using the idea above you would be able to accurately be able to mark the spot. Thanks for reading and again sorry if these ideas have already been mentioned. It would be great to hear what you guys think and maybe the gods will make it so
  23. If you choose/want to live on deliverance and don't want to go through the search of finding a great place to live, hire someone else to do it for you. I.e. me! I've mapped and had eyes on over 90% of the deliverance terrain. I'm only a few mountains away from having 100% of the map explored (those ridiculous spike mountains included). I'm no good at skilling and was recommended in game to do realtory irl for hooking people up with great spots to live(lol) so I figured, I might as well help people with this obscure experience. All I ask is 1s and a nice review of my performance on this thread. I won't accept the coin until you have approved of a nice plot of land. Yeah, yeah, I know there's nothing stopping people from just plopping down deed and walking off. That's kind of a no ###### why this isn't an highly effective idea. That's a gamble that I am willing to take. As of 15NOV I have 85 pre terraformed abandoned flats marked on my map (no, not ingame map) and from now on, I will also be mapping for undeveloped areas and pre-tunneled mine resources in the area. Let me know what kind of place you want to live at and we can make it happen. Thank you for your time.

We've got maps we would like to have imported to Wurm and while I can create some neat things with the map generators, I am out of my depth when it comes to creating a specific map in a program like World Painter.     After long work I can finnally release the first version of my map generator. I've called it 'WurmWorldGenerator' to avoid confusion with the other one. All generation algorithms are executed on the GPU and it can even show all changes in realtime. In order to run the application you need a good graphic card with OpenGL 3.3 support and Java 8.
