  1. Please update Rope http://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Rope So that it explains rope can be used to haul large carts up, or down multi-story buildings Limitations are: The cart cannot have animals hitched The cart must be 1 floor below your current position to haul up The cart must be on your current floor in order to haul down This must happen directly at an house opening Notes can be found here: Under the February event (Toward the very bottom of the page linked here) http://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Current_events
  2. I am posting this now, because I have for the past couple of days always had the following issue when embarking my large cart as driver: I right click and embark. This happens: [10:36:42] You ride on the large cart as the driver. [10:36:42] You leave the large cart. [10:36:44] You are teleporting and cannot perform actions right now. [10:36:45] You are teleporting and cannot perform actions right now. [10:36:45] Teleporting [10:36:47] You are teleporting and cannot perform actions right now. [10:36:47] You are teleporting and cannot perform actions right now. [10:36:53] You are teleporting and cannot perform actions right now. [10:36:54] You are teleporting and cannot perform actions right now. [10:36:54] Teleporting [10:37:03] You are teleporting and cannot use this command. [10:37:09] You are teleporting and cannot perform actions right now. [10:37:26] You are teleporting and cannot perform actions right now. What then happens is that I seem to be teleporting up and down in the same spot instead of actually driving the cart. Using commands such as /stuck will not work in that situation. What it then tells me is: [10:37:03] You are teleporting and cannot use this command. This happens when embarking a large cart in the open field. I am aware that it is bound to happen when your cart is stuck somewhere or there are fences in the way, but lately this seems to happen way more often than usual, and for me it has happened every single time. I can embark the large cart as the driver after having waited for 1-5 minutes while teleporting around, until I stand still for a moment. Using that moment, I can embark the cart in the normal way, but it is very annoying having to wait each time. [10:37:31] You ride on the large cart as the driver.
  3. Rare Large Cart, Cedarwood A fairly large two wheel cart designed to be dragged by an animal. This is a very rare and interesting version of the item. It has a benevolent aura. It is made from cedarwood. It could be improved with a log. Ql: 50.97843, Dam: 0.0. Starting Bid: 15s Min. Increment: 1s Reserve: None Buyout: 30s Sniper Protection: 1hr Pickup will be arranged with winner, or coastal delivery options negotiable depending on server.
  4. Wanting to auction my Supreme large cart (Oak). Will put Pic up tomorow. Goes 1.4km/h faster than regular cart had this over 23km/h with good horses and gear. Start bid: 30s/e Increments: 2s/e Sniper: 1hour Reserve: None Buyout: 40s/e Will have to be picked up at P14 or O16 on Xanadu.
  5. My idea is a hitched state where the graphic changes slightly for wagons and large carts most. While hitched they would look as they do now. Unhitched the large cart could be rotated so that the yoke rested on the ground. With wagons the yoke could be folded underneath for a more compact look. The state would be similar to the proximity state of doors and gates(open/closed) so it shouldn't be too time consuming to code/re-image. Animations would be nice but not required. A simple display un/hitched graphic would be fine. The coding changes, in theory could then be transferred to boats, un/moored. Where the sails could be stowed.
  6. A fairly large two wheel cart designed to be dragged by an animal. This is a supreme example of the item, with fine details and slick design. It is made from pinewood. This is a stray cart that turned supreme on a random imp, it's not locked, and the owner, although still shows on examine, doesn't play anymore. It can be used as it is, and the one using it can lock it (the lock has to be removed when using it, can be locked again to prevent others access to the cart). It does shine very nicely and very blue and is a bit faster than rare large carts. Can be imped to 60ql on request. Being sold on Pristine, delivery negotiable, further will cost more. Accepting private bids. Start Bid: 10s Increments: 1s Hidden reserve Snipe protection: 1 hour Buyout: 20s

  8. According to the wiki on Large Carts: 2 Large Crates and 3 Small crates should fit. Game says otherwise

  10. iv been playing this game for a couple of months but i feel like chariots could change combat completely I don't know if anyone else has ever thought of this but i think that you should be able to use a bow and arrow to shoot out at a target from inside a large cart. doing this could open up a small 'doorway' into the development of chariots for this game which would bring about new tactics for all sizes of battles however if this did happen then in order to make it more realistic by changing things like the accuracy for both the charioteer and anyone that's shooting at the chariot (its hard to shoot when you're moving and its hard to shoot at a moving target) if you have any ideas as to why this should or shouldn't happen then please feel free to leave a comment

Large Crate - 10c Small Crate - 5c Ship Transporter - 3s (50ql) Wagon - 5s (50ql) *If you'd like your item(s) to be a specific wood type please specify that when placing your order.
  12. I did some testing of speed with bison and horses on large cart and wagon. Animals have 5 speed traits and no negative. Horses have generally 70QL items and some 50-90 wind of ages enchantment. Large rare cart 2 mature bison = consistant 12.24km/h 2 mature horses (378woa)(198woa) = top speed 21.60km/h, generally lower. Mature 1 Total item QL: 367.68 rare saddle Mature 2 Total item QL: 370.02 Wagon 2 mature bison, 2 adolescent bison = consistant 18km/h 3 mature horses, 1 aged horse = Min speed: 13.67 Top speed: 17.28 generally lower about 15.5km/h Mature 1 Total item QL: 367.68 rare saddle Mature 2 Total item QL: 370.02 Mature 3 Total item QL: 323.07 Aged 1 Total item QL: 346.51 My conclusion is that bison are best choice for wagon while horses are best for carts based on the fact that horses generally pulled a wagon at 15.5km/h while bison never went below 18km/h.
  13. Make it possible to heal other players who are on the same large cart as you when the driver in driving the cart around. At this moment it says [12:00:44] You are now too far away to firstaid. When you are healing them and the cart is moving.
  14. I noticed when riding around my deed in my cart that when I use WASD to move, it is causing the wheels of all carts in the vicinity to animate and spin as if I'm driving them. Perhaps a problem with message broadcast?
  15. After a few posts I've really grown on the idea of Golems as an alternative to animals. It fits the fantasy theme of the game, it adds variety to the game, it gives folks a choice who want to avoid animals. I'm certain it will help with the animal problem Wurm is having. I'd much rather create a couple golems then maintain breeding stock. There has got to be more players out there that would make that same decision. The specifics I first posted became too much of a distraction. What is important is that creation and advantages gained from either animals or golems are balance so players don't become lemmings using the best overpowered choice. Player will us these if they are balanced correctly. I'd strongly argue that if made too convenient they would replace using animals (I don't want to see this, and Devs should favor making golems a little under powered at first). I prefer Vynora enchants these because its makes the most sense considering game lore, but that isn't important any Religion could do it. Some aspects I'd like to see (may add more later): - Draft golems can be sold on merchants. I'm not sure about mailing. - They can be carried in inventory or a large cart. They should be heavy and when in inventory restrict your movement speed using the greater of encumbrance restrictions or large cart drag speed. I can pick up either two overaged trees or 6 dead animals, so its not unrealistic that we could carry one of these. Remember they are just piles of resources which you can carry now. And just because this isn't possible with animals doesn't justify limiting golems. Isn't it better to learn from one's mistakes then to impose restrictions on new things just because of a past mistake? - Add damage over time to the golems. Let us repair and improve them like other tools. ****Original post**** A magic golem used to pull a large cart. The golem is constructed from clay and gems. I'd prefer that it require a variety of gems and a certain total ql. As an example, 20 total quality points for each of the 5 common gem types. Considering these would replace horses it should be a difficult spell to cast. I'm leaning toward 60 difficulty and 100 favor per a cast. Spell power controls how fast golem(s) will pull the cart. Assuming you hitch up two golems with 103 power spells the cart should go as fast as whatever the fastest horses would go (I think its a little over 20 kmph). Spell power should degrade. It could be reduced based on distance traveled or time passage. I prefer it lasts a long time, like a year to degrade 50 power. Using golems as mounts seems over powered to me.
  16. You should be able to "lead" large cart (by leading hitched horses). There are many things you can't do if you command a cart (like harvesting) and sometimes you're stuck with cart in a tree (and you have to unhitch horses and pull a cart - try to do this with 280x dirt inside). Make it possible only for premium players to prevent alt abusing. "Leading" hitched carts is posibble in real, so I can't see why we shouldn't be able to do this ingame. I know - we have small carts, and we can pull a large cart, but it slows you down a lot.
  17. I have a canoe near me that has no owner set. The boat is locked and moored and thus isn't allowed to be "salvaged". I propose that legitimately ownerless vehicles be allowed a zero-time-required salvage to have a new owner set. Skren
  18. I have a large cart that was previously locked and working fine. I logged on one day and I could no longer put stuff into it, I get the message : The target item is locked but the lock could not be found. Rejecting move request. I could take everything out fine, the permissions and everything else is fine. The only issue is with putting stuff inside it. However, when examined there is no mention of a lock on the cart, but there definitely was one on there. I think it's bugged as I had a gate with a similar lock issue.
  19. So just a little suggestion. not sure if its been thought of yet.. im sure it has though. Why can you put things into a bsb straight from a cart, but not put things into a cart straight from the bsb? The whole putting 8 or 9 items into my inventory, then dragging them to the cart is doing my head in. Especially when i want to take a over a hundred items at once. Its a time waster. Be fair... why not do it both ways? That is all... thankyou
  20. When on a large cart being pulled by 2 horses if you hit climb while in command you get locked in climb mode. If you disembark after this you can't embark again cause you are in climb mode. Clicking climb hotkey or the event button doesnt reset it, and it will show you not in climb mode and you will move as if not in it as well, but the only way to fix this so far is log out and back in . After doing this you will be in climb mode and will have to toggle it off. Happens on main server and on unstable is repeatable every time. Edit further testing shows same issue even if a passanger same event and used bulls on cart so aniimals have no barring on the issue.
  21. i noticed te Large Cart wheels no longer move, just letting someone know about it
  22. I've been noticing that while dragging a large cart, I can drag the cart behind me so that it's up against a Tall Stone Wall, and my cart will be completely sideways, as if it's rolling along the tall stone wall. When I Stop Dragging the cart because I'm carrying too much (This is how I know it can be reproduced, as you can imagine I haven't been too hurried to test it intentionally) the cart is stuck inside the wall and I cannot Drag, Open, or do anything to the cart anymore. The only options are Examine, Manage Vehicle, and Emotes. I disabled "No Target" and such missing options in settings. "Manage Vehicle" does not work because "[04:14:51] The tall stone wall is in the way." When the cart got stuck I had the inventory already opened, and fortunately this let me take important things out of the cart before letting it sit (such as my entire food supply). I have not tried breaking the wall, but I don't know if this would get the cart unstuck, and in the case that it doesn't I don't know if the still useless cart would keep me from building a new wall. That's all I have for this bug. It's a very annoying one and I hope it gets fixed soon. I was trying to adjust my cart so it's not against the wall anymore, since I was afraid of it, and because I was carrying too many rocks I stopped dragging the cart.
