  1. Books: It would be nice if there were books in wurm. A book should either have it's own AI when opened or be managed by chat commands. A new AI would be the best. You can write in books. When done you can give it a title and sign it. When managed by chat you can read it by examining, if by own AI just right click the book and click read. A book could be made by making paper out of wood scraps and leather. You need 3 items. A needle, 1 x leather, 5 x paper. First you use your carving knife on the wood scraps to make wood pulp. This will turn the wood scraps into soaked wood pulp. Then you make a page mold out of a log (with a saw or carving knife). Select the soaked wood pulp and put it in the page mold. This will create paper. Repeat 5 times. Make some leather. Use the needle on the pages. This will make an unfinished book. Add the leather to the unfinished book. Your book is finished. There could also be bookcases that can hold up to 15 books. These should be attached to walls. Books would be nice because you would be able to make a guide or write a story. It would make the game at least a little more fun . Any suggestions? I also found two other threads about books: http://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/72939-books/ and http://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/17199-books-and-their-properties/
  2. Hi It is really hard to do something nice in the interior with so little furniture. He shook nice to add additional furniture such as bedside tables, paintings (why not to paint yourself), decorative carpets, cabinets, then many more choices. Of course, the wood should change color depending on the wood used to make nice decoration. tanks for reading me
  3. OK i didnt put much thought into this but I notice that fur is only used for beds, and i thought it would be amazing if you can use them for other furniture and Fur Clothing Like say you have an Oakwood Chair, why not use a fur on it for a padded Oakwook Chair We can have Bear Fur Cloaks or Wolf Cloaks, with the head of the animal fur you used as a head cover (this would obviously only work with the helmet off, or have the hood off when wearing a helmet) Toss in your other ideas guys this is all i could think off in 2 minutes
  4. Built a 2nd floor over my 1x3 carriage house. went to build a bed up there and kept getting messages there isnt enough room for that item here. Ended up pushing it to where i wanted it but it wouldnt go near the end of the house, had to leave it in the middle. is this intended or am i doing something wrong?
  5. With multistory coming soon, I think we need an easier way to move furniture around. It may not be most realistic thing to move some furniture around, say a forge, but it will greatly increase our ability to customize our deeds. Now that we have rare furniture there is more demand to sell a furniture item. For the most part this should work very similar to bulk bins. The idea here is to let you pick up anything and to put mechanics in place which prevent an item's use while its not on the ground. 1. Container furniture must be empty to pick it up and you can't put stuff inside it while its not on the ground. 2. Plant it in the ground to anchor is in place. One can drop it if they don't care about securing it. a. Village mayor can pickup anything on deed regardless who planted it. b. Can house owners pick up a lamp post planted by another inside their house? c. With exception to mayor on deed, and maybe house owners, only the person who planted an item can pick it up.3. Altars stop creating area influence and priests(or anyone else) can't use the altar for anything when its not on the ground. a. There are issues with dropping blessed altars in enemy territory Although you could drop an unblessed metal and bless it all the same. To maintain current mechanics, only metal altars can be dropped within the influence of another god. Doing so will remove the altars blessing. Their should be a warning confirmation box which is mainly for folks redesigning their deed. b. Their should be a long delay before the influence spreads so we can drop multiple different altars when redesigning I'd guess that is also beneficial for pvp.4. This should apply to large magic chests. You can pick them up if they are empty and can't put things inside unless its on the ground. 5. Tools like looms can only be used when on the ground. 6. No cool down for planting furniture items. Signs would stay the same. 7. Guard towers and colossus would need to be excluded. 8. Forges become unlit and cool when picked up, or require they be unlit and cool to pick up.
