  3. Recently upon doing some very thrilling and nail-biting missions that have made me enter enemy lands and risk everything I own, I realized there's one big drawback. Only one person really gets the rewards from doing the mission, at least in certain missions. For instance: Doing a "ritual" on a tower mission, only one player can do the ritual (unless it calls for two), so even if you go with 3-5 people, only one person gets the reward (1000 karma + rank + sleep bonus). Doing a "kill traitor _____" is a single-reward also, even if 2 people hit the same traitor target, it only gives 1 person the reward. Normally this isn't bad if it's something simple like a deer, or pig, but if it's an enemy tower guard you're likely needing the assistance of others to get there safely and kill it, but then they aren't rewarded. As far as I know the only "group" missions there are like kill 40 pigs, or sacrifice 500 woad is mainly on Home servers, not Elevation. I think it would just be nicer if it gave the karma reward to everyone in the 3x3 area who participated, because merely being the guy who does the Ritual or lands the kill shot doesn't mean they did ALL the work, and it pretty much makes going out in a group to do missions a waste.
  4. I ran out of premium today whilst on Celebration, and found myself unable to use a Epic portal back to Affliction Alas! A trifle stops you from entering the portal. You need to purchase some nice premium time in order to enter the portal. It seems Celebration is the only server affected, since I managed to run two alts from Indy and Deli through a portal without any trouble
  5. Black Lighter PMK Hello, people of Wurm. My community and I have played this game for about 2 weeks and ever since we have fell in love with everything we have come across. We like to address ourselves as a multi-purpose community, based off of PVP, PVE, Casual, and Hardcore players. We have played through a bit of the aspects of the game, but altogether have a lust for PVP. However, we wish to become our own Player-Made-Kingdom because we have a passionate desire to fight for ourselves and friends. We have made many friends throughout Wurm, people from all kingdoms. We have seen the good side, and the bad side of each kingdom. But due to recent events we are now known as Black-Lighters, which are people that everyone else exaggerates about. The Black-Lighters are actually a kind, welcoming, blood-thirsty community which suits our needs. We are in love with the Black Light, the constant PVP, the vast array of mobs that surround us, everything. That is why we would like to start this discussion on why the Black-Lighters should be able to make Player-Made-Kingdoms. My reasons are listed below: Horde of the Summoned is a heavy PVP kingdom that should be allowed to expand It would bring a lot of the exiled out of the darkness to rise up and join a community they are welcomed in It would attract more of the hardcore PVPers to the Black Light without restriction Popularize the game for people who are new to the Black-Lighters and accidentally turn Make PVP in the Epic servers more intense Give kingdoms a new awesome template to use while in creation These are some reasons why I believe we should be able to make a PMK through the Black Light. I will continue to play Wurm with my community for an extremely long time, we will make a PMK only when this becomes a possibility. In that time we ask that you all support our cause to ensure that we can make this happen when the time comes. We plan to begin recruitment for our community shortly, we only hope you are all there to see it succeed. We will love you now and forever, Wurm. 6. I'm not against players going HotS, but I am against players going HotS unintentionally. Usually more often than not it's a new player making a mistake, turns HotS, and then teleported to a premium-only server where they then lose everything and can't login. I think for new players joining Epic the first thing anyone does is explore, you wander aimlessly around old houses and abandoned deeds. Especially on Strongbox there is literally tons of old places around the starter deed, and wooden shacks, unlocked houses, rotting fences. A new player uses the "Steal" option unknowing of its consquences because the tutorial never covers it, loses reputation, tries again, loses more, and poof becomes HotS. New players don't know what /reputation is, it is never covered in the tutorial. So this system is terribly misleading and entraps new players. You can't put blame on new players exploring and stealing, they don't know any better, they're new. You're killing new player's experiences on Epic when you add features like this and don't forewarn them that they may turn HotS. I suggest you make a pop-up warning come up after someone attempts to Steal that is a disclaimer to warn new players about the consequences of stealing and how to use /reputation. That or remove it for f2p players, most f2p are victims to this unintentionally. Make this "feature" for premium-only, so least if they go HotS they can respawn on Elevation and actually play, not be lost in limbo as a f2p.

  8. Clearly there's a need to remove high-ranking but inactive players (let us not discuss active players losing rank here, please) from the rank list, in an attempt to encourage PvP and keep the list fresh and new. However, not only is it painful to see your rank go down, it also has a negative effect on the rank gain of other people (less rank to gain from low-ranking players). Removing "negative" rank or "ending up lower than you started" was a good step in the right direction for everyone, but the rank decay was unnecessary and created too many problems of its own. Therefore, remove rank decay, if someone hasn't logged in for two weeks (or hasn't made a kill in two weeks) their name doesn't show up on the rank list but their rank stays the same. After their rank gets updated again their name pops back on the list until they go inactive again. UPDATE: On top of that, rank gained from HotA and missions should be removed as they do not have anything to do with the "battle" part of battle rank.
