  1. Could we have an individual setting for cultivation? I would love to be able to allow a villager to cultivate a packed tile without giving them the ability to terraform on the deed. Allowing the villager to terraform = risk of being griefed. Allowing them the right to just cultivate = harmless. I was hoping this would be enabled with the new management system coming up - but it did not appear to be there as an option in the screenshot given to us by the devs. So anyone else been wishing for this to be its own setting?
  2. Copied from Wiki Description A settlement, or deed, is an area of land owned by a player or group of players: a mayor and optional citizens Advantages Control of who is allowed which actions within the settlement area Allies Allies can pick up items on the ground, even if they're on deed and your permissions would otherwise not allow people to do so Items and creatures This allows anyone to pick up items and tame animals within the settlement (but not inside buildings). Allies are always able to pick up items, to let them tame animals this permission still needs to be checked. .......................................................................................................................................................................................................................... The advantages isnt true Missunderstand me right Since allies are allways able to pick up items on there allies deeds, the control of who is allowed which actions within the settlement area is gone. Is it very hard to change so allies have same settings as rest of players ? Why not let us that own the deed decide who can pick up items or not . I would love to join a alliance, but this rule set me off Reson to change is that you can join a really nice and good alliance and next day some deed in that alliance let someone new join. It only take one bad apple from one of the new ( or old ones ) to ruin the game, couse we aint able to decide who can pick up items or not . Since you have been able to set it so allies need permission to tame animals, I cant understand why it should be hard to change so allies need permission to pick up items, ofcourse except those items that already belong to them like rest of players. Next the question: Did you miss something here or its working as intended??? Also copied from Wiki: Mine rock and ore Mining. Terraform Dig, pack, pave and flatten Cultivate land.....I cant find anywhere in settings how to alloud it or not alloud it. Shouldnt it belong with Terraform Dig, pack, pave and flatten???
  3. FOOT PATHS I would like to put forth a new suggestion for a type of pathing: Foot Paths. Foot paths (or dirt paths) could be a simple form of pathing requiring low Paving skill. You Want To Do WHAT To My Game!? This begs the immediate question: "Why does Wurm need foot paths when we already have dirt paths?" Presently, dirt paths are functional, but rather unsightly as packed dirt paths. Foot paths would offer a more attractive solution to people that would like to add pathing while altering the landscape as little as possible. Often times, caring players that wish to make paths through forests without causing much damage desire to add simple pathing (such as gravel), but with less intervention. Ok, I'm Listening... Here are a few points to consider in favor of Foot Paths: Low Paving Skill Requirement - new players can easily take advantage of paths that are inherently non-interventionist. Attractiveness - Foot Pathing could offer a more attractive alternative by including shrubbery/grass along the tile edges, and helps new players contribute in a way that veterans can appreciate. Easy Implementation - adding foot paths should be as simple as adding a new art tile to Wurm. The functionality need not differ much from present dirt paths. Terrain Variation - foot paths could have numerous art style choices to add flavor. Players could create foot paths to support desert, forest, steppe etc tiles to keep a similar look. Path Turns - foot path art, ideally, would cover approximately 1/3 of the present dirt tile and include straight, wavy, and curved paths to allow players to create an appearance of pathing utilizing Wurm's present tile method. Show Me The Goods Examples: Steppe foot path: http://i.imgur.com/g1H8lTl.jpg Forest foot path: http://i.imgur.com/u6nHzgj.png Desert foot path: http://i.imgur.com/e6M7nAr.jpg Grass foot path: http://i.imgur.com/g1H8lTl.jpg So How Does This Work? The idea is to take the appearance of the present dirt tile and alter it so the outside 1/3 of the tile displays the surrounding tile (sand, steppe, grass), and have the inside 1/3 appear as dirt. Please see the image below. I think that Foot Paths would be a nice way to add variation in current pathing options without requiring a lot of effort from developers. Please consider foot paths as an option for Wurm. Feel free to leave feedback, and thank you!
