  1. So I love the AH update, I really do. (CHONKY PONEHS FOR LYFE!) But in my opinion mules could really do with some improvements! For one, and this is the most important thing for me, they really are too small. Especially when you consider their pulling power! They're stronger than 4 draft horses but are somehow less than half the size!? I'd really like to see them a bit bigger and be a size that fits their performance better. Another thing (that I don't expect to see any time soon but would be nice!) would be to have mules' colours vary according to the colour of their horse mother. ie if you had an ebony mare you could get a black mule, and so on. I attach some pictures to show what I mean both in terms of size and colour variation. Ebony mule Chestnut mules Grey mule Also, this:
  2. This suggestion starts with a disclaimer: I made this suggestion today in Freedom chat as a light hearted joke, but it has generated some interest and someone asked me if it was true. I just want to say none of this is currently implemented in game. Ore Sniffing Horses The basic idea is that horses with keen senses should be able to 'sniff' ores and veins when in a mine or on the surface. Different horse colours are able to 'sniff' different veins: Gold horses can sniff out gold veins Grey horses can sniff out flint Brown horses can sniff out iron Black horses can sniff out lead White horses - zinc Chestnuts - copper Black Silver - silver veins Ebony Blacks - slate Gold Buckskins - sandstone Piebalds - marble Skewbalds - rocksalt and so on.. When standing next to (or on a matching ore tile), the following message would appear: [09:06:41] The aged fat SilverHunting neighs loudly. If the Ore is 2 tiles away: [09:06:41] The old fat IronMan whinnies softly. If the Ore is 3 tiles away: [09:06:41] The adolescent fat FastGold sniffs inquisitively. This idea might also serve to regenerate horse sales - including finding a use for the older, or less popular colours I hope this has brought you all some amusement, I just want to clear up any confusion and reiterate: This is not implemented in game currently! xD
  3. Just a reminder we still don't have all the pretties in game. This is a tragedy. They have been designed by the lovely Malena already! Not much else to do but add them asap! Pretty please add prancing ponies!
  4. Everyone* is desperate for the new foal colours, with foals due in a few days - it's so exciting! What colours will they be? ....so I thought I would set up this thread so that everyone can post screenshots of their new foals when they are born (whatever colours they come out!) Whilst we are waiting for the new foals, feel free to post ANY cute images of foals (in game or real life) as we'd love to see them. ? Muse * [edit] except Mr Gary [/edit]
  5. Ultima Nostalgia - Katspurr (twitch) Malena (ingame) Greetings, Wurmians! It’s another fortnight down, and it’s time to share what we’ve been up to as well as recap the archaeology update. But first… Patch Notes Archaeology work is groundbreaking! Last week’s update saw a whole new layer added to archaeology with the introduction of caches. This system provides a greater sense of progression and goals for archaeologists, and we feel it gives the skill a solid end goal. We’re extremely pleased with how it came out, and thrilled to hear such positive feedback about it! To recap, archaeology caches are found by collecting reports about old deeds. Once the report has been filled enough, you can use the “get direction” function to locate the token site of the deed. The cache includes more statue pieces as well as increased chances of higher end archaeology items. The cache also includes a memento of the old deed in the form of a miniature version of the old token model. These can come in any metal type, giving players many opportunities for collection. Speaking of collection, the update also saw a few new statues added to archaeology, as well as smaller statuettes. I like to call these the “Wurmians at Work” collection by Saroman. The update also introduced the ability for wooden items to be discovered as any wood type, including types that were not previously available, such as lavenderwood: New Cloth Armour A discussion thread about existing coloured cloth armour and dyed armour led to a dev discussion about possible resolutions. The result of this was sitting Saroman down with a needle, a loom, and 300kg of cotton. He came up with a few new pieces for you all to enjoy! Cloth jacket Cloth striped sleeve There's a lot of trust in here, colours that clash make bunnies sad There will also be a plain white cloth hood, in case you want to roleplay a novice nun. Public Priest Testing Public testing on the priest overhaul will begin this weekend! Expect to see it live on test on Sunday server time. We will be providing full notes, discussing our goals, and accepting feedback on the many changes during this round of testing. We know these changes have been long anticipated, and many are excited to see them come to the game. (Yes, there will be a full faith swap option.) DAS BOOT To celebrate 500 followers, the dev team got together to come up with an item to recognize Emoo’s success as a streamer for the Valrei Entertainment Network. As such, we decided to create an item that is easily the most recognizable feature of his streams: The Shoey. A supreme drinking shoe was given away on stream, and a fantastic one was given to Emoo as a gift to memorialize his hard work. (I made him cry.) That’s it for this week! I hope to see you all on test server this Sunday. Until then, keep on Wurming! Retrograde & The Wurm Team
  6. I'm sure I saw a picture with different colours of rats - black, brown, etc. I've searched, and I can't find it, but I know it exists somewhere. Does anyone have the link to the mod that'll do this?
  7. I'd love to see some more marble colours! We've already got white, it would be great if we could have gold, pink, blue, green, purple and black. Each marble vein can be a certain colour, like 'white marble vein', 'gold marble vein', etc. Maybe the different colours can have different rarities, with some occurring more often than others.
  8. Before the most recent update, conditioned animals were a slightly lighter shade of colour than normal animals (apart from champions, which were the same colour as the normal animals). Since the new update, this has changed and all animals are the same colour. Could we change this back please? It makes conditioned animals more interesting and easier to spot.
  9. I've spent ages staring at various labelled pictures of the new hell horse colours, but I still can't seem to tell them apart properly. I thought I could, then today I killed one of my spare piebalds, and on death it said it was jet black. The ones I really struggle with are gold/brown and piebald/jet black. I'm attaching pictures of my hell horses - if anyone knows, please could you let me know what colours they are! This is what I've got as my guesses, but today's experience proves that I may well be wrong about some of them. Walkingthunder black Yoanatear, Fastagnes, Kiahop and Goldfast brown Heartwalking and Eckered white Fastvigor, Fastgala, Eastmountain and Hallwind piebald
  10. A while ago we got three more horse colours, and it really got a lot of people enthusiastic about horses again. PLEASE add all the rest too? All the options were great, makes the game more immersive and brings more interest and fun to the game. As a reminder, here are the options we got from Malena a while ago on this forum thread: Edit: As requested before, please make bred hellhorses non aggro on Freedom:

This is because the colours either require more materials or are harder to acquire. If you want to order a custom colour use the tier system below. Find which colour is closest match to the one you want and that'll give you a rough idea of pricing. ------Tier 1: 10c per kg------(White, Green) ------Tier 2: 20c per kg------(Red) ------Tier 3: 30c per kg------(Yellow, Orange) ------Tier 4: 40c per kg------(Blue) ------Tier 5: 50c per kg------(Cyan, Pink, Purple) ------Tier 6: Varies, PM------(Black) These pictures were taken with white lighting and on a Pinewood surface. Your results may vary. I will however attempt to match or meet your required colour as close as possible. Please remember the surface you are painting has a massive effect on the overall look of dye. If you are unsure about which surface types are best and how they'll look, feel free to ask. ------Custom Dye Orders------ If none of these colours match what you desire then this is the area for you. Simply tell me what surfaces you intend to paint, what colour you want on the surfaces (RGB is normally the best) and I'll take these both into account and make the perfect match. In-terms of pricing, its the same as above, simply find a colour which is the same shade then you'll gain an understanding of the price range. Or just ask, I'm more than happy to help out! 12. I was wondering whether it could be added into the game: Create string of cloth out of cotton, then use cotton spindle again to create some ribbon which can be worn, e.g. in hair, or on chest. We can dye this in different colours, e.g. for festivals, to give as presents, or to show allegiance. We could also wear it as decoration. The option to create different kids of ribbons could be added e.g. for your hair, for your chest, for your horse's mane, for your horse's tail, etc. Thanks
