  1. Most people I know that use priests create some sort of items to sacrifice for favor. The most common ones in my experience are door locks, yoyos, cordage ropes, and jewelry. Most people I know also create hundreds or thousands of these at a time, because it's more efficient to mass-produce something than to produce a handful at a time. These items end up lying around in backpacks or satchels or in piles of items on the floor, adding to the database and contributing to lag in a densely populated area. Cordage ropes can already be put into BSB's. It wouldn't make much sense to allow BSBing of jewelry, in my opinion, but that can be discussed. On the other hand, door locks and yoyos are very easy to spam out, and door locks are the only type of lock that does not come with a key, meaning that the exact ql of a door lock is of no consequence (other lock and key combos could get very messed up if we were allowed to BSB them). Therefore, it would make perfect sense to allow putting door locks and yoyos into BSB's, not to mention the added convenience.
  2. As of right now, Rafts are used as the intermediate method of transporting items. Creating 100 rafts to make a ship somewhat worthy of being a transport vessel is tedious. To make matters worse, There is practically no difference between a Corbita, Knarr, or Caravel as far as transportation abilities. For ships of this size and difficulty to build, the transportation abilities should be a better reward as you go up. Suggestion: Cargo Containers. Basically they would function as a floating BSB. Larger ships allow more containers within. For simplicity of coding, I suggest to allow 2 types of containers to be built: Cargo Container and Food Container. Back-end code wise, they use the exact same storage logic as a BSB and a FSB respectivly. As far as adding to ships, Rather than trying to figure out how to allow BSBs to function within another container, make it a right click option. Select the container, right click ship, select "install _______". To access said container: right click ship, select "Cargo container 2" enjoy your floating BSB. Now for the separate ship types: Being personal use boats, they do not allow additions of cargo containers As a farm ship with plenty of room and a sealed under-hold to keep crops safe from the sea. The corbita can have 2 FCs With it's sturdier frame and large holds within, a cog can hold 2 CCs The Knarr is primarily a looting vessel but also is used for long voyages away from home. It can fit up to 3CCs and 2FCs. The Caravel is the King of the seas. A massive merchant ship can hold up to 4 CCs and 4 FCs, worthy of any fleet. Those are my starting suggestions for this idea. 3. Rare Bsb

i want to start at 1s there is no reserves well its a bsb that is rare, it has a pulse effect glow, pick up only we are located in the great north desert - exodus
  4. Bug: You can plant multiple containers on the same tile. Steps: Planted a bsb on a tile. Planted a second bsb on the very same tile. Planted an fsb on the same tile. Expected: Only 1 container to be planted on a single tile. Reproducible: Yes
  5. So just a little suggestion. not sure if its been thought of yet.. im sure it has though. Why can you put things into a bsb straight from a cart, but not put things into a cart straight from the bsb? The whole putting 8 or 9 items into my inventory, then dragging them to the cart is doing my head in. Especially when i want to take a over a hundred items at once. Its a time waster. Be fair... why not do it both ways? That is all... thankyou
  6. Prevents building a bed above another bed on the next floor. This is easily fixed by removing the dumb limitation of 1 bsb/bed per tile. Thank you.
  7. Normally you should only able to place one bsb on one tile, but if you go against wall and drop bsb there, it can be pulled to tile without getting "You cannot move that item here, since there is not enough space." message. It also seems to override previous bsb's flag to take that tile, so if you pick up bsb that you pulled to tile, it can dropped there after that. Although, i always hoped that you could place more than 1 bsb on tile, this seems to be more bug than feature. Edit: Forgot to tell that it happened inside house
  8. Cotton Volume

Okay so there was a conversation in GL this morning, the conversation is as follows; [03:18:09] <H****> i've noticed that cotton is pretty much the ultimate skill crop.. seems to give decent skill at any level [03:18:18] <D****> same here [03:18:23] <S****> yeah [03:18:38] <Cita> too bad it licks butt to transport or store in large quantites [03:18:58] <D****> no problem, use catapults [03:19:00] <H****> just drop it into the ground if you havve too much ;P [03:19:10] <D****> step 1 : drop on ground [03:19:14] <D****> step 2 : walk a tile or two away [03:19:18] <D****> Step 3 : take items [03:19:20] <D****> Step 4 : repeat [03:20:37] <Haips> drop the cotton as you harvest it, then come back and collect them with the cart [03:22:04] <Dogukakugi> or just bring the cart along in the first plavce [03:23:59] <Cita> http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k460/citawin/wurm201211230322.jpg?t=1353660682 <-- here lies the problem, only 1999 cotton fit in a bsb, why? who knows. But the mass is screwy if you ask me. [03:24:19] <X****> its likely just because not exactly 16,000 volume can fit in a BSB, but rather everything below it [03:24:22] <Cita> You can put 10s of thousands of wemp in a bsb but only just barly 2k cotton [03:24:26] <X****> ohh [03:24:38] <X****> well, wemp is probably smaller [03:24:44] <K****> it is [03:24:57] <C****> voluuume [03:25:09] <Cita> 1 wemp = .5kg 1 cotton = 1kg [03:25:21] <Cita> so by that math only 4k wemp would bit in a bsb [03:25:32] <Cita> but i have like 7000 in a bsb atm [03:25:34] <K****> BSBs don't count by weight, they count by volume [03:25:55] <Cita> exactly my point, im pretty sure the mass of cotton is screwy [03:26:26] <K****> huh [03:27:10] <K****> Cotton and Colossus Bricks have the same volume lol [03:28:01] <K****> You're right, the volume of cotton is screwy. lol [03:28:13] <Cita> yap, and the most cotton you can fit on a cart at a sinle time is ~780, unless you combine your cottons then its 1 64kg wad per raft [03:29:34] <Cita> Im pretty sure rolf added one too many 0s in the cotton volume coding.. cuz 20k cotton per bsb is far more consistent with other items Conversation pretty much says it all, Cotton volume = Colossus brick, surely this must be a bug? Anyway, it would be nice to see a revised volume on cotton to make storage and transportation much more convenient. Please note: all names were removed from the chat log and the screenshot, just in case anyone didnt wish to be involved for whatever reason.
  9. I have an empty BSB in my inventory. I examine it: [13:21:49] A storage bin made from planks and strengthened with iron ribbons. The bulk storage bin is firmly secured to the ground. You can barely make out the signature of its maker, 'Ga.i.'. Ql: 33.20353, Dam: 0.0. I can drop it, another player can pick it up, he can push it around, this all works. But if either of us tries to plant it, it errors: [13:28:26] The bulk storage bin is already planted. It's not planted, it's in my inventory. Multiple attempts to log, relog, use alts, board boats to reset UI, etc, have failed to resolve it. This doesn't happen with all BSBs, I can replant other ones fine.
  10. why is it that cordage ropes keep their name in bsbs but the rest of the ropes are renamed as just ropes? looks like a bug to me, i think all ropes should either be renamed or keep their names http://imgon.net/di-JZH6.jpg

  12. Whispering Glade Market is now open for business. We are located at 27, AO on Darkmalice’s map and x22,y19 on Tpikol’s map. We currently have 8 merchant spots (3 filled and 5 vacant), which are placed on the dock for your convenience. Instead of merchant stalls, we have provided arched buildings for a different look from the standard marketplace and to provide the sellers the opportunity to decorate and customize their spot. We also have a trader open to the public, 2 mailboxes with 95 & 82 courier enchants, and off deed spots to place BSB’s and FSB’s for bulk items. There are currently plans for 26 merchant spots. However, 26 is not necessarily the limit. If there is a demand, accommodations can be made to fit more merchants. Current merchants: Merchant Dawnshroud ironworks –lamps and metal tools Merchant Tallowyn - Misc. sprouts 3. Merchant Ayala- Maple and Lavender Sprouts 4. Merchant Joseph – BSB’s, FSB’s, wood tools, fine carpentry items, and bulk wood items We need more merchants. If you wish to place a merchant please send me a PM here or in game. Hope to see you soon!!! -Uian
  13. Archived suggestion that I can't bump: http://forum.wurmonl.../page__hl__bulk - To add to this old thread, it seems moving huge quantities of items between containers is taxing on the server. Otherwise we wouldn't have seen the change to limit item deposit into bulk bin of 100 items. I feel this would greatly improve trade, guessing a reduction in server strain, and would reduce the boring task of moving items between containers. - Another option similar in nature is a much smaller and portable version of the bulk bin. Its weight would need to reflect its contents. I know from my experience of depositing wemp bundles that bulk deposits work well. Make sure a portable bin stocked with goods can be placed on merchants only taking up one spot for the bin.
