As we know the amount of servers have increased Also the big server Xanadu and the amount of time we spend in sea is becoming more and more. + The time wasted to get the corpse back and the hardship in obtaining things. Its time we make it possible to Respawn at our Boat. So even if somethings happens we can get back to our things. Example: My friend was travelling on Xanadu and was attacked by Dragon and died. We can understand how hard it was for him to get his things back and the amount of time consumed and stress he faced was so bad. I hope this may be a positive change in game and help a lot of players.

  3. Since boats cannot be salvaged anymore, we are left with the following scenarios if there is an abandoned boat on our deed that we wish to get rid of: 1. If boat is not moored - drag it elsewhere - problem solved! 2. If boat is moored and obstructs construction - request GM help to move it 3. If boat is moored and does not obstruct construction but simply blocks your nice view - THAT'S TOO BAD. A GM will not move it. 4. Go to the trouble of using days, even weeks to raise land and build something just so you can tell a GM "the boat is in the way" even though you intend to tear it all down once the boat is out of the way. (this is probably the most common way people handle this issue and surely the system is flawed if people have to resort to this method?) How about people who have never had to deal with this issue prior, especially new players have no idea that they will most likely be stuck with any abandoned ships that happen to be on the deed they place. Is it fair? And for those who are the wiser and know they'll be stuck with the ships, they will lose out on getting a perfectly lovely deed plot just because some old ships are parked on the area. PROPOSAL: After one month's inactivity for a boat, accelerate it's decay rate considerably if it's parked on a deed which has a different owner. This would allow people to be parked safely for some time at markets or at a friends place since one month is a more than a generous time for them to fetch their boat. This would free up CA and GMs from having to deal with these abandoned boat tickets. This would allow deed owners a possibility to get rid of these eyesore boats which are ruining their deed without having to resort to the silly option 4. above. Obviously any boats belonging to the deed owner, or villagers of the deed would not be affected from the above mechanic (this could include friends of the deed owner as well)
  4. I don't care how you do it either by a new crate or just load in a boat but we need a way to transport animals over water. Not across server boarders just across the water on the same server. Edit: The non-swimming kind like bison, deer, cattle and hell horses
  5. Deeds need to become more secure in the PvE environment especially pertaining to crafted items like ships being built on deed. If one is building a ship and has one piece left to place to finish the creation, it should be able to be left until the person whom you intend ownership of it can come with your permission to finish it. I believe that people with shoreline properties should not have to build inside a building and use the "ship transporter," if they want to build a ship. It makes little sense that one cannot build a ship on a deed tile right next to the water without the possibility of some random player coming, finishing it, and leaving with it, even with the deed roles being locked to the public. As people pay for deeds and maintainence of them, it is not unreasonable to have some expectation of security on those tiles, in the PvE environment. I do realize that such a suggestion would not work in the PvP environment, due to the mechanics and type of game play. The members in my alliance all believe that PvE deeds should have ironclad security for all containers and crafted items and I speak for all of us. Moreover, if this idea of securing crafted items like ships cannot be implemented due to coding or another unforeseeable mechanical issue, than at the very least, there should be some sort of event logging system or tool that GMs can use to help with recovery or find out where it has gone other than using "tracking." A player can track. GMs should have access to other tools to assist them with this. In the event they have been provided such tools, I then must pose the question, why are they not being used? Finally, most new players are not aware of this type of situation and would assume the safety of items they are crafting on their deeds and the safety of containers on their deeds, whether inside a building or not. Issues of this nature could likely cause a domino effect with player retention, as people will become frustrated, that they cannot have security on spaces they pay to rent in the game and items they make can go missing without support being able to asisst them more, than telling them that "it's a costly lesson." Overall, it can equate to a loss of revenue and bad name developing for Wurm, which would be a shame, especially with all the new players we are expecting to join this gaming community.

I sure hope they get the depth sorted on them so they can be more usable because they are really nice... Now the rest of the boats are on test too but i am just posting the caravel as it is my favorite one.

  12. 'ello, Currenty, passengers of boats are placed, arbitrarily. In the case of the small sailing boat, the first two passengers obstruct the view of the helmsman. What I suggest is: Change placement of passengers so that obstruction of helmsman's view is delayed until it isn't preventable anymore (e.g. in case of the smal sailing boat, passengers are placed behind the helmsman first... the places in front are used, last.) (EDIT 03/15/14 03.43 UTC+1) Passengers are sitting down and therefore don't obstruct the helmsman view...sitting would be a nice addition, actually, but certainly not the least amount of effort. Well aware of that. Passenger's can choose their position. I think the first option is enough, though the second would also be nice... probably not necessary (EDIT 03/15/14 4:40 UTC+1) to solve the problem, though. Ultimately, a sitting animation/stance would also be a nice addition (to be reused in various ways, say, a sit in... or sitting around a table, or so.) Regards, Shiniest

  15. Proposed: Canal boats, based upon those along the Erie Canal in upstate New York during the 19th century. these are shallow draft boats, hauled by a team of two mules. In the game use horses, bison, bulls, etc. They can carry a LOT of cargo, including people, animals, and heavy bulky items, but move slowly. They would need to stay near the shoreline because they are hauled along by the animals, not sailed. This would give an option for moving groups of animals other than trailing them by ropes behind you. Also you could haul that BSB full of dirt, providing you had a way to get it to the canal. It would also encourage improvement of our canals.
  16. I know this might not be a big deal to many people but i like to have my boats with no name i prefer just the default descriptive name that you are given before you name it. The trouble is you can not get that back if you name the boat. I would like the option so that if i delete the current name of the boat in settings and left it bank that it would revert to the default naming. I just bought a boat and the builder named it for some reason and now i am stuck with it not having the default name. I know this is going to sound like a crazy request/suggestion but i don't see it being that hard to manage and it will not affect anyone negatively.
  17. It's my own fault, I left it unmoored at Blossom Market during the impalong. It's gone. It's locked so I guess that means people can't open it (and I don't think I had anything in it anyways) but it could be sailing around anywhere.   18. Set vehicle orientation to either: north, northeast, east, southeast, south, southwest, west, northwest. This makes it easier to afk travel and is an advantage. We could balance this by requiring mind logic skills to use it. If a player has the skill and is willing to accept the risk there is no reason we shouldn't let someone afk travel. I predict certain people will reply here with their normal response of telling others how to play. I simply remind you folks that you have the option of ping-ponging between "a" and "d" keys if you want.

  20. I think it'd be a nice feature for the larger ships such as the corbita and cog to have dinghies to make it easier to board and unboard the parent ship. It could work similar to the anchor, i.e. "load dingy", "launch dingy" etc. Also make loading and unloading cargo a bit easier if there's no harbor around.
