Greetings, the Rift is in G19 this time. Made the timer a little bit later, may be a tiny bit off... Location on the comm map: There's plenty of docking space on/around my deed "Windspears" with a 1 tile road leading pretty much right into the Rift. Literally. The beam is 2 tiles apart from the road. The route is a bit scenic but after climbing up the serpentine road from my deed you just need to keep heading east. It's pretty straightforward. I'll get to flattening an area for the base camp south of the Rift later, this should be the best attack vector because the area in all other directions is pretty terrible to ride over. I'll bring provisions and tools aswell (Forge, barrels of water and food, mailbox, chopped corn, mats for stone altars, cotton. Anything I forgot on this list?) There's a nearby mine for iron aswell, conincidentally. Just ask me ingame when you're there, I think there was some decent quality iron in there.

Hello, I am myself a returning player to Wurm after a year break. I had been looking for a village to join for the past week (I got some invites to small villages, though), however, it was not exactly what I was looking for. I was trying to find a village with active players (est. 5-10), not a village with 2-3 people or a huge city. Unfortunately, I was unable to find such village, thus, I decided to at least give it a try and make one myself. As for now, I have found a nice place (yet to be discovered fully) with iron, clay, beautiful lake and nice landscape. It seems like there was a village a very long time ago, as there were no bins or forges left. I have just built my house, just a small one for now. Yesterday I managed to find some animals like bulls, a cow, spiders, wolves, bears, lava spider. What I found out about the area is that, nearby villages do not exist anylonger, though, I need to re-check it to confirm this. The village itself is, as for now, 22x21 with 3s unkeep. There is lots of space and the village has not been shaped, yet. There are no spirit guards hired, since I can defend myself against anything without any problems, however, if a new player needs a guard there is a tower nearby, or I may hire a spirit guard. The village is located at N21 (upper bay), just like on the screenshot below. If you are willing to join me, I will be glad to accept you, no matter if you are new to Wurm or you have already some experience. Everyone is welcome! Due to RL getting in the way I am taking an extended break from Wurm. I've decided to try selling my deed this time with a starting price of what is in the coffers. The deed is a complete island that I have tried to keep as natural looking as possible so very little terraforming. You probably came here because you're looking for an active community of great people. You've found them! Who we are: Here at Aranea we use discipline and organization to have fun together and establish a name for ourselves throughout the realm. We're more than just a village - we aim to become the tightest group of players because we believe it's the only way to achieve the greatness we aim for! We try to keep everyone occupied within their own professions so that we're all like one organism, and we use a system of ranks within the community to reward the ones showing their determination. Don't worry if you don't like strict rules and regulations - you can still have fun with us! As we understand some have less time than others we don't let it come in the way of free and fun playtime or become a reason of prejudice. The main thing Aranea is about is helping one another, filling in the blanks where needed, making us an efficient machine. All new, returning and veteran players are helped in the way of new equipment and after a short period of initiation and testing how much of themselves they could dedicate long-term - we set them up with their own piece of land. How we work: We use a system of ranks to give people a sense of appreciation and self-improvement. The community is ran by a council consisting of the Grandmaster, the Henchman and a few Chancellors. The Council is the part of the community that establishes new laws, systems and generally tries to improve our life standard and establish order. So in a recent thread I made about having a mega project several community members chimed in with interest for a bridge connecting Newspring to the mainland. A few others chimed in for improved highway connections between the starter towns on Xanadu. Those two ideas pretty much took over that thread. lol In fairness of that I figured a new project proposal was in order. So which would you prefer if you had to choose: a bridge connecting Newspring to the mainland, or improved highways on the mainland connecting starter towns? Let me know what you think. If you're excited to help with either project ASSUMING we can get it off the ground without ruffling too many feathers then please chime in! Either of these projects will require great digging skills. The bridge will require more dirt than probably exists (who knows?), as well as 29803 tons of bricks.
